From the very first sentence of "Undead Girl Gang", the narrator's voice shines with uniqueness. Its unusual to snort-laugh when someone's telling you their best friend died, but this book made me do it. Mila is the snarky fat witch protagonist I've always dreamt of, and her determination to solve her BFF's murder is the driving force behind the opening of this book. I love the casual tone in which she lays out her life with Riley, and I recognise a lot of her semi-Wiccan experience - that feeling of doubt and disbelief and still being drawn to something, anything that gives you power is a real insight into the mind of teenage 'weird' girls. Awesome writing, and even though I knew this was only a sneak peak, when I got to the final page, I almost gasped in horror that I couldn't continue. I'll be picking this up as soon as it comes out, because man, this is the book my little fat Wiccan heart has been dying for!

I LOVED this sneak peek of Undead Girl Gang! I cannot wait to get my hands on the full book in just a few days!

Lily Anderson seamlessly tapped into every outcast and loner 15-16 year old girl's brain and took the best parts of her and molded her into Mila Flores. Equal parts gritty and humorous, Mila is the teenage heroine we've all been looking for.

This is a perfect book for fans of Veronica Mars, Hocus Pocus, Zoraida Cordova's Labyrinth Lost, Harry Potter, Charmed, and The Craft. Read this book and revive the witchy teenage girl that you left behind in High School.!

I should know better than to try "sneak peeks."

The story was about to get started when the segment ended, so there is little I can say. There are a longish setup, in which we gather, repeated many times, that the heroine is alienated from everyone except one guy, the brother of her recently deceased friend.

The writing is very strong, and I do want to read the rest, but I can't form an opinion on so little.

This book comes out in 3 days!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting on this book since December! Ugh, the cover, blurb, and the sneak peak! I love it! I can't wait to get my hands on this book. Mila is fierce, sassy, and a bad *** witch to top it off. She just lost her bff to a suicide but Mila knows that is not the case. We follow Mila as she goes on a journey to prove the truth that Riley was murdered, and did not commit suicide. I only got to read 6 chapters but I am so hooked! I haven't been this excited for a book in forever!

Even after just a few chapters I am hooked. I want this book in my hands now.
I loved the writing style and the characters seem like they're going to become some of my favourites when I'm able to read the full and finished copy. Mila seems badass and I had no idea there was actual Wiccan type things in this story.
I am definitely excited to read this, I have a feeling this is going to be one hell of a fun book and I just really want this now!

Super interesting sneak! I'm excited to see how the rest of this book plays out, and I like Mila a lot. Can't give a full evaluative statement based on just the sneak peak, but I think it'll be worth reading in full.

I really enjoyed this sneak peak! It was interesting and I am looking forward to reading the rest of it when it comes out. I would have loved this book when I was in high school.

I really enjoyed sneak peek. I love Mila she is smart and doesn't afraid to show how she feels. At first i don't know what to expect about the topic death. But that sneak peak has everything. witches and lots of harry potter references. Now i want to read the book even more.

Slightly different, enough of a sample to make me interested in the entire book but also an interesting concept of mashups.

I loved this extended excerpt but was so sad when it ended because now I have to wait for the book to be published. The first six chapters were great and I can't wait to read the rest. It's great to see an original book out there because often in YA it seems like books follow the same general format and/or themes and the genre can get stale but I can tell this is going to be a real original. From the first chapter I was hooked and I can't wait to finish it and see how it ends.

I am so in love with Mila!! I wasn't really sure what to think about the premise of this book when I started it, but by the end of this sneak peek, I was totally hooked on Mila. I'm not even sure I really care where the plot goes, 'cause I just want more of Mila's snarky badassery.

Within about 3.5 seconds of finishing this sneak peek I'd pre-ordered the full version (and am just a little bitter that I will have to wait nearly a week until it's released on May 8th).

Based on the first six chapters, I'd highly recommend this for anyone who likes a bit of teen drama with lots of snark and not even a hint of any insta-love in sight.

Since this is a sneak peek, I am not going to write much. I have to say that thanks to this sneak peek I know I won't be reading this book. This one contains the first 6 chapters and I struggled so much to get through those. Really. The MC was just so annoying, so fake, so eh, so please go away and shut up. Her grief was heartbreaking, but other than that I just didn't like her and her constant whining and being a bitch to everyone.

I did like that she was a witch and wanted to do spells (though a bring back to life spell, eh you are just asking for trouble especially if you don't do it right).

I was hoping for zombie action, but I guess that doesn't happen until way later in this book. Not going to be around for that. *sighs*And I was looking forward oh so much towards this book since last year. *sighs some more*

I enjoyed my sneak peak of Undead Girl Gang and look forward to reading it once it comes out on May 8th! I am really curious to see how she brings her friend back and what happens afterwards.

What a treat to read a sneak peak of UNDEAD GIRL GANG. The premise of this book put it high on my To-Be-Read list and I was thrilled to find out it lived up to everything the synopsis promised. I was hooked by the first sentence and it got better from there. It’s filled with fun, emotion, magic, and wonderful characters. Mila Flores is a well-developed main character that everyone can relate to and her voice grabbed me from the beginning. A must read for everyone!

Right now I am going to give three stars because I only got to read a snippet of this book. I like the idea of storyline but the writing is a little too much fan girl for me. The book has been very entertaining so far. i will wait until I read the entire book before i write a complete review. Remember this is just my first impression of this book.

For this just being a sample I found myself being pulled into the story.

Mila is quite the character! She is such a smart ass and it's super relatable even considering the sad part of her best friend having died. She just won't give up until she knows what really happened to her friend to the point she is going to try to rise her from the dead. She has been practicing Wicca for as long as she has been friends with Riley, so when a book appears to her with a spell for rising the dead she see's it as a sign. She just has to try.

Sadly the sample doesn't go as far as her actually doing the spell but once this book is released I will definitely be picking it up!

I loved hearing Mila talk about her memories with Riley, especially in the Yarrow House. At times, she felt like she blended in with a lot of other YA characters, but then I'd get a taste of what makes the story so different. I'm intrigued by the spellwork, and the promise of magical realism, which I love. The sample totally did its job, and I can't wait to read the whole book!
