Thank you to Troubador Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
I was unable to finish this book, it just didn’t grab me the way other books on the subject did. Perhaps it would appeal to someone who is new to reading this subject but I was looking for something a little bit more substantial.

Well, bummer. I didn’t look closely enough at this book when I requested it. I thought it was a cookbook featuring a sandwich for every mood. I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that it was a self-help book. I didn’t finish it. I’m sure others will appreciate it if they are looking for something in the self-help section. It just wasn’t for me.

I rarely give up on a book but honestly I just couldn't get into this one. It's unfortunate because I feel that there could be something salvagable but it's difficult to find amidst the almost rambling writing style and painfully repetitive content.

This book has some sensible and interesting perspectives on the everyday and how we could potentially reshape our thinking. There is a lot of linguistic play, pondering and visual imagery.

The emotions in the book are not so much your emotions being affected but the individual emotions being turned into a character form, under the metaphor of being sandwich fillings. As such, it’s a relatively easy read if non-fiction is your thing. And it has a sense of character and humour.

If you feel you need to shake up your thinking and most books on the topic seen daunting, then this is the book for you.
