Meet Attorney Tug Wyler…
A young girl goes to the dentist for a cavity but ends up with no heartbeat.

Enter The Malpractice Attorney…

Tug Wyler is a malpractice attorney, and a very good one at that. I admit my first thought, as tug himself says , is “ambulance chaser.” Still, as he also points out, some patients do suffer drastic harm by a medical professional.

That is why he has in court in one case when approached for another. About to enter the courtroom his mentor nearly drags him from the building to another new and urgent case. That of young Nelly, an orphan who has now suffered possibly permanent brain damage at the hands of a dentist. It’s not clear if she will live or die at this point. Her sister Jessie has called upon them for immediate help.

Feelings toward Tug, along with his mentor and fellow attorney, Henry Benson go back and forth at the start, but before long Tug Wyler will grow on you, binding you to his side of things, especially the lawsuits. He seeks the truth, even when it is nearly impossible to find. No stone unturned, as Tug would say.

“At Least I Admit It…”

You can’t help but smile or chuckle at the humor, sometimes the absurdity, while acknowledging the laughter is about the goings on, not the injuries or claims.

Occasionally I had to regroup since several cases were in the air at once: Nelly, her overdose of anesthesia, Adora, birth defect the possible result of the mother carrying herpes, and Nancy Clark, whose hysterectomy resulted in an severe infection…

Then in Nelly’s case, the plot deepens. As her memories surface, she realizes that someone much closer to her may be a killer. Will Nelly’s memories make her the next victim? You’ll be cautiously turning pages all the way to the twisted ending. Thankfully Tug will be back to fight another day.

Highly Recommended

I was provided an advanced copy of this book as part of its release announcement. I voluntarily wrote this review. The next two books are already on my Kindle. Can’t wait to start another.

The book is terrific, leaving me anxious to read more from Mr. Siegel. The cases are fascinating, the tricks and angles ingenious, possible making Tug the most ethical lawyer out there. His determination and dependability will draw you to him. He may be in it for the money, but he is also set on righting the wrongs that do happen, honestly or otherwise.

Just read it. You’ll want more too.

I'm a sucker for any books about lawyers and court cases, and this book did not disappoint. Another awesome book from a new to me author. Once again, thanks to #NetGalley I have started another book series. Can't wait to read about more Tug Wyler cases.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This review is based on having read only a portion of the book, as I it didn't engage my attention, nor did I find any characters sympathetic. Rather, I found the protagonist to be snarky and somewhat snide, with an attempt to be funny when often I didn't find it to be funny. In addition, there was too much information peppered throughout the book of a technical nature, regarding medical terms and procedures, dental procedures,, etc. Overall, it wasn't entertaining for me, having worked in both rehabilitation and medical training. Perhaps it was too much like a busman's holiday for me.
I was able to read about 20% of the book before I finally decided I simply wasn't going to find any entertainment in it. It may appeal to people who have a particular sense of humor, one that leans more toward being sarcastic in nature. In addition, there were brief forays into language which didn't really seem to further the book nor endear the protagonist to me.
Finally, there were so many other "cases" thrown into the book it was difficult to develop any continuity to Nellie's case and therefore to develop an interest in how it was resolved. I do prefer to read more classic murder mystery books, so it's entirely possible this book might appeal to a different audience.

This is very good, I found that the story entwined with others and all had satisfactory outcomes, and where well developed. If you like legal mysteries, this series is pretty good, with surprising twists throughout. I found it very human, readable and interesting. I like the characters in the stories, even the shonky ones – they where extremely well drawn
