This book was just an okay read. Although there were a few twists in it the story overall was quite predictable and did not keep me interested.

What a different story this was!
A few times I raced through the story as I was eager to find out the next bit, in others I wanted to skip parts.
Great start to the story, I wanted to shake the main character a few times. Which I suppose is good as it shows the author managed to write a character that irked.

All in all a good storyline, certainly one I haven't come across before.

Good read. Material was will put together which made it an easy read. The characters were fun to read about along with the engrossing story line which at time got a bit slow, However, reading it on a nice quite rainy day made the mystery seems even more thrilling at time. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

It started slow and I struggle to get into it as I make peace with Noah's creepy stalking to his neighbor pretty neighbor, Charlie. I even almost abandoned it. But stick to it nonetheless as I want to know how things will play out with Noah finding so much cash. Will he keep it or return it? It will certainly makes you question your own morals if faced with the same situation. There's too much coincidences and I have to suspend disbelief at some point. I may not like how some things turn out but I still find it an okay read.

In Finders Keepers we follow Noah who on a run discovers a dead girl who crashed her car. He finds a bag of money in the floorboard and his life changes forever in more ways than one. He knows he should turn it in and tell the police about the dead body, but that is just something he cannot live with. After taking the money he gets some bad karma. From his brother in law, to his neighbor, to the true owners of the money who want it back.

I enjoyed this book and my favorite aspect was the setting in Alaska. It was fun and fast. I had a few issues with it like the writing style felt like a new authors writing and it kept distracting me from enjoying the story. I also had issues with not liking any of the characters. They felt super immature for people their ages. These two things kept me from getting sucked in and loving the story. Overall I would recommend this book to people who might be new to the mystery thriller genre.

I would like to mention this disclaimer. I was sent a free copy of this for review by the publisher. That in no way affects MY opinion or review. Thank you so much to the publisher for the chance to read and review this book.

Thanks to netgalley for the ARC of this entertaining and gripping book!
Imagine having money problems, then you find some money.... actually a lot of money. Life starts to look better, and you can finally treat your wife as you should....
But never ever trust a gift like that not to come back and bite you.... The book was gripping from beginning to end, and just when I thought I couldn't be surprised anymore, there it is.....
Recommended!!!

'An unputdownable mystery thriller that will have you on the edge of your seats' says Amazon and I must agree! I was up late into the evening finishing this book as I just couldn't put it down. K T Finch has a fantastic writing style and I love to pick up the new thriller and get lost in it, living the twists and turns as they unfold and I am always left shocked by the ending.

I felt that K T Finch started the fast impact of pace from the first chapter. I loved the cast of characters - they each had their own mysteries and personal characteristics and I really liked Noah as a main character, he had his flaws but I found him really interesting.

I will definitely be seeking out some more of K T Finch's back catalogue and am looking forward to the next release.

Thank you to Bookouture for inviting me to be a part of this blog blitz.

I didn’t have the love for this one.

Noah – kind of a non-descript guy who does stupid things. Morally…skewed.
Emily (Noah’s wife) – oblivious wife who ignores the stupid things her husband does. You think she’s morally okay…until she isn’t.
Charlie – boring neighbor who does stupid things. Slightly less morally skewed.
Colton – morally bankrupt man who does stupid things.

Yep, ladies and gentlemen, there is a theme!

The main issue is that there’s no one to root for. If everyone in the book were to simply die in a hail of bullets, I would have been okay with that.

All that notwithstanding, but book does manage to be suspenseful. I did keep reading until the end. I just didn’t love it so much.

THE BOOK
A split-second decision throws ordinary family man Noah’s life into chaos in this utterly gripping thriller that will have you hooked from the first page to the last. If you love James Patterson, Harlan Coben and Gregg Hurwitz, you’ll love Finders Keepers.

What if you could change your life with one little lie?

Noah Kendall loves his family, but hates his teaching job. Mortgage, bills and mouths to be fed: he’s stuck in a rut. And with more debts piling up each day, he knows that something has to change.

As he opens yet another red letter, he has to get out and clear his head, despite the heavy Alaskan snow outside. His legs ache as he runs deeper into the forest, until he notices something in the distance – a crashed car, sitting dead still. Inside, a girl sits slumped in the driver’s seat, eyes closed, mouth open, skin grey beneath the winter frost.

And then beside her he sees it: a bag of money. And lots of it. Enough to pay off his debt and start a whole new life. And it’s just sitting there, waiting for him to take it...

What would you do?

THE REACTION
This was my first book by KT Finch, and I did enjoy it. The plot was engrossing, leaving me constantly thinking. After all, I'm not sure what I'd do if I came across a crashed car, dead girl, and over two million in cash, I'd like to think I'd report it to the authorities. I'd like to think that's what we'd all do, but in desperate times, we often resort to desperate measures. Finch did a good job of crafting her characters. The story is told in dual POV, so we dive into the minds of Noah and Charlie. I didn't particularly like Noah, and I think that was intentional on the author's part. Charlie, on the other hand, was much more likeable. Overall, a great read.

Noah Kendall loves his family, but hates his teaching job. With a mortgage, bills and mouths to feed, he's stuck in a rut.

Noah finds a large bag filled with money in the car of a girl who had died after a car accident. He does not report the accident to the police but he does take the money. He takes the money back home and hides it from his wife. When he's counting out the money to see how much there is, his brother-in-law walks in on him. Things just go from bad to worse for Noah.

There is lots of twist and turns in this page turning book. I loved it from the beginning. Would you have done the right thing by reporting the accident and handing the money over to the police? I would like to think that I would.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Bookouture and the author K. T. Finch for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I found this to be an interesting topic for a book. I was excited to see where it would go. I imagine this is something we have all thought of at some point....money changing our lives. I enjoyed this book. I found it slow at some points but I enjoyed the read!

What would you do if you found money and no one else knew about it? That’s what this story is all about. I did want to love it because the premise was good but unfortunately it was simply an ok read for me.

I thought this book was promising to be a good read but I found it disappointing and unbelievable .

Noah hated his teaching job. His wife hated working such long hours and they both hated constantly worrying about money. When Noah is out for a run, trying to forget that his attempts at writing are going badly and that his wife has seen him looking across to the rather pretty girl next door whilst she was undressing! He wanders off the usual tracks. On a deserted sideroad buried in a snowbank is a crashed car. Inside is a young girl. It is unclear whether she died in the crash or froze to death but she has definitely been dead for some time. Noah is all set to phone the police when he sees a duffle bag in the car-a duffle bag full of money! This could be the way out he & his family are needing. Well what would you do?

The story is told by Noah & also by Charlie- the girl next door who is a 911 operator & is finding it very stressful. I liked Charlie a lot more than I liked Noah, although I did warm towards him as he got more & more out of his depth!

Like most stories it is necessary to ignore how implausible things are & there was quite a bit of ignoring needed! However it was still a good read. Thanks to Netgalley & the publishers for letting me read & review this book.

I originally read this back in May 17 when it was released as The Dead Girl, here is my Amazon review from then:
I really enjoyed this read. I had read the two novellas featuring the main character and loved them so was looking forward to this and was not disappointed. Here we see Charlie earlier on in her career. Looking forward to the next one

This was an intriguing story. Not only do you see what money does to people, but you also see what a secret does to one individual.

Noah may not have been rich, but he had everything he needed. Sure his wife hated her how many hours she worked at her job, but he hated his. They did what they had to in order to provide a good life for their little girl.

One night while clearing his head Noah is suddenly faced with a choice. A choice that could either better his life or destroy it. What happens next are the events that follow his decision. Through twists and turns you see how Noah handles everything that he's brought upon himself.

Finders Keepers by K.T. Finch gave me a new favorite fictional dilemma. Noah had major financial issues. His family really needed extra cash. Things took a dramatic turn when Noah discovered a crashed car in the woods. In the car is a dead girl with a bag full of money. This is the point at which Noah’s life completely changed.

The story is narrated through two main POVs by Noah and his neighbor Charlie. I liked Charlie and sympathized with her struggles of being a 911 operator. I can’t imagine just how stressful that job is. On the other hand, Noah was a flawed, complex character. There are moments when I sympathized with him but some of his actions made it hard to like him. The first chapters especially portrayed him as some perv and I think that influenced my perspective of him. However, I was still captivated by his narration and was so invested in finding out what he would do with the money. Throughout the story, I kept thinking about what I would have done. I guess this is part of the reason why I liked Noah’s narration even if I didn’t like his character.

The story is suspenseful especially in the first half of the book. However, I wasn’t too crazy about the turns and twists it took towards the end. I tried to suspend my disbelief but ended up rolling my eyes at a couple of the scenes. Still, I was hooked to the story to the last page. This is a fast-paced, entertaining read with an interesting premise. If you are able to suspend disbelief then you will enjoy it even more.
