I really liked this author and this book did not disappoint, it was an appropriately paced, page-turner that will have me hooked throughout the story.

Thanks to netgalley for the ARC of this entertaining novel. It was gripping from the start and I was terrified with the idea of something stalking me as well and I wouldn't even know it... until its too late.
Good read. Recommended.

Sophie is a caregiver for elderly Ivy. While caring for Ivy, Sophie meets Max, Ivy's grandson. He is charismatic, has a great smile, and seems really attracted to Sophie.

Ivy is not too happy about Max showing so much interest in Sophie.

Sophie thinks she has a stalker. She always feels that someone is watching her. It doesn't help that someone is murdering young woman in the area.

As she becomes much more frightened, Max cuts ties with his grandmother and leaves Sophie on her own, much to her dismay.

Is she being stalked by a killer? Or is there something else sinister happening in her life?

The chapters alternate between four different characters. There were times it wasn't exactly who was speaking and the continuity was a bit sparse. This was an okay read, but not very thrilling and not very suspenseful.

Many thanks to the author / Bloodhound Books / Netgalley for digital copy of DYING TO SEE YOU. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

My review is written with thanks to Sarah Hardy at Bloodhound Books for inviting me on the blog blitz and providing a copy of the book through Netgalley.
Sophie is convinced she is being watched. She works as a care assistant for a local care agency. When she is asked to care for an elderly lady, Ivy Saunders, she develops a friendship with her and her grandson, Max. But how well does she really know them?
Dying To See You starts as it means to go on. The opening scene is full of tension, and from there, Swan builds an atmosphere that is incredibly creepy and gripped me all the way through, despite making me feel very uncomfortable. I was unsure who to trust and who to believe and this created a lot of questions for me, which kept me guessing until the end.
Swan's ability to create convincing characters is amazing, and this helped me to become fully immersed in Dying To See You. Each character is wonderfully observed and there are many characters that I found recognisable from my own life, from Mr Brentwood, the nosey neighbour, who may or may not have trouble with his memory, to Sophie's daughters, Tilly and Mia, who are in many ways the typical teenager and five year old respectively, to Sophie herself, who is struggling to juggle work and home life as a single parent.
Many novels that are labelled as psychological thrillers fail to live up to this billing. However, Dying To See You is not one of these and I was fascinated by the psychological element to it. Ivy and Max have a complex back story, and I enjoyed the way it was explored so that I was able to see how they had reached the point at which we see them in the novel. I am slightly ashamed that I even felt sorry for them in some places!
Dying To See You is full of twists and jaw dropping moments and the novel, particularly the ending, will stay with me for some time.

I loved this book, it was chilling in all the right places!!

It had twists and turns that I didn't expect and things I had guessed were wrong - I love that in a book as quite often there are books advertised as having twists that aren't really - well this one most certainly had them!

I really enjoyed the characters and thought that they were spot on for the story and it gave it an added edge for me. The writing style was very well suited to this genre and the setting, pace and plot were brilliant, they all combined to create a brilliant story that was full of suspense. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will certainly be looking out for her books in the future if this one is anything to go by!

Five stars from me, very highly recommended and a genuine pleasure to read!!

Fängt gut an ... lässt dann aber leider stark nach. Das Ende war gut, aber mittels Cover und Kurzbeschreibung erwartet man dann doch ein etwas anderes Buch.

3.5* rounded up for pure creepiness factor! 🙈

Well! Where do I even start?! If you need a dose of extra creepiness in your thrillers then this is the book for you! Honestly, I’m not sure how to describe this one! Or for that matter, how I even feel about it. Ha!

Sophie is a single mother raising two daughters while working full time with an agency providing home-health to the elderly. When Sophie meets her newest patient Ivy, she’s immediately smitten by her son Max. Could he be the man of her dreams? Or will he turn out to be what nightmares are made of!

I can’t go into more detail without giving anything away...sorry!

Part of me disliked the characters so much I really didn’t think I’d get through this book. But, on the other hand, I was so enthralled with the storyline. Or should I say antics, which actually made it hard to put down.
I didn’t want to like it...yet strangely did! I’m rounding my rating up instead of down just for the fact that I keep thinking about this one!
Would I recommend it? A definite maybe?!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bloodhound Books and Kerena Swan for an ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

I love Swan's page-turning writing style, short, snappy, and brilliantly executed. The plot is original and I found the revelation of who was responsible for the murders a fabulous twist. The tension ratcheted up towards the fabulous finale and I found the characters superbly relatable. Overall, I really enjoyed this psychological thriller, and I'm looking forward to reading more from Kerena.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bloodhound Books and and Kerena Swan. This book was an exhilarating read that kept me up at night. It's been a while since something got under my skin quite like this did. At first, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Sophie, but she grew on my, to be honest. Even though I initially felt like knowing the identity of the killer would put me off, it absolutely just enticed me more. I loved that! I can't wait for I Let You In!!!
