Yet another thrilling instalment in Robert Bryndza’s fabulous Detective Erika Foster series. Beautifully written as always, ‘Deadly Secrets’ is full of the twists and turns we’ve come to expect and once started I did not want to stop reading until the final page had been turned.

A fabulous 4.5 star read that I highly recommend.

Copy kindly received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoy the Erika Foster series, and once again I read this one quite quickly. As prickly as Erika can be, she's an intense and likeable character and I love the way she does her job.

This case was throwing everyone all over the place, and even when I thought I had it figured it out, I didn't. I was close, in a way, but I didn't have the whole story. Particularly with one of the revelations at the end. Wow it turned it around completely!

I also enjoyed getting to know Moss and Peterson a bit more in this book and the whole team works so well together that the secondary characters are always just as much a part of the story as Erika is.

Overall this was another great book from Robert Bryndza, it reads easily just like the rest in the series, and it keeps you hooked, and wanting to get to the bottom of the story. Definitely recommend.

BROKEN BONES (D.I. Kim Stone, #7) by Angela Marsons is an intricately woven web of clues under investigation by Kim and her team that brings together international sex slavery, illegal immigrant exploitation and prostitution into a realistic and brutally honest story. Once again, I can highly recommend this book and series!

Deadly secrets is the 6th booth in the series, I was kindly given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review an honest review. I have previously read the 5 other books in the series and always enjoy the story, this one did not disappoint.

The main character is Erika who is a detective working in Lewisham. On Christmas day there is a murder on a young girl, Erika had to investigate.

Erika is a likeable character who has been dealt so bad cards, I would love to see Erika have some happy cards. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is already the 6th book in the Erika Foster series, and I honestly hope there will be many many more.
I just love the way Erika approaches cases, how she deals with her members under her command and how she tries to have a personal life.... This is really a great, fantabulous series to read, and will break any reading-mojo-lost - I promise you that!

I was so excited when I discovered Robert Bryndza and raced through the first 6 Detective Erika Foster books. Now I'm really bummed because now I've caught up it means I am probably going to have to wait another year before the next instalment.

As usual the latest in the Erika Foster series was wonderfully well written with perfect pacing and a plot to leave you turning the pages, and in my case, had to be read in one sitting!

A young and beautiful burlesque dancer was brutally murdered on her doorstep on Christmas Eve, leaving Foster with no Christmas lunch and a gruesome murder case to solve.

The team are brought in, I love the chemistry between Foster, Moss and Peterson, and set to to solve this murder - which is quickly linked to others and other cases, before someone else gets hurt.

Erika also gets a chilling phone call which ends in the past coming back to haunt her, and Moss finds herself in grave danger. Can they catch this killer before someone else gets hurt?

Another brilliant book from Bryndza with a real surprise ending. Cant wait for the next Erika Foster instalment!

The Erika Foster series just keeps getting better, especially with this latest addition to the series, which continues the story with our favorite characters, while introducing us to some interesting and varied people along the way. It was great, especially considering the series could have gone stale by the sixth book.

The premise: Erika is traveling to Christmas lunch when she spots a murder scene and she quickly becomes wrapped up in the gruesome crime, in which a young, beautiful burlesque dancer is cut down on her doorstep. Soon, it becomes apparent that the young woman's life is as dramatic as her stage act, complicating matters. Plus, a series of brutal assaults suddenly become tied to the murder.

I loved how intricate this story was, with so many different clues and suspects all being tied into the mystery, there's never a dull moment. And, of course, there's a couple of rally great twists in there to throw you off the scent. I did not see that ending coming, not even a little.

Erika also continues to develop as a character, and I'm excited to see where she goes from here. She's starting to see that her focus on work isn't all it's cracked up to be. I hope she can find some happiness soon (I don't want to spoil too much!).

Overall, this is a great addition to the Erika Foster series and fans should not hesitate to check it out. If you haven't gotten into this series yet - do it!

Robert has certainly taken the Erika Foster series up a notch with Deadly Secrets. So many twists and turns and when i thought i had it all figured out, bam, another twist which sent me in another direction. Great writing again and good to see that Erika is as passionate as ever about her work. We also get to see more of her personal life and dealing with her past which i really enjoyed. This is a gripping novel and waiting patiently for the next instalment. Oh, and welcome back Patterson!

Another great book by Robert Bryndza! Every time I pick up an Erika Foster book I know I am going to be absorbed until the book is done. This one was no different. The case in this one was right up Erika's alley. I loved that Moss gets more responsibility in this book and we get to see more of her. I highly recommend this book and series to any thriller suspense fans. Best to read series in order as some things might be spoilers for pas books.

I love pretty much everything Bryndza writes, and this book didn't disappoint. Edgy, intelligent and suspenseful action from start to finish... with a few twists I didn't see coming. Very highly recommended.

I was so excited to receive an advance copy of this from the publisher/author via Netgalley.

I love this series and the good news is, is that it keeps getting better! This installment to the series started to shift its focus from Erika and started to move towards developing the characters of Moss and Patterson. We got to see events happen through their eyes, and hear some more of their back story. We also got more of a glimpse into Erika's past when she is called back to Manchester for a family emergency. These characters are slowly becoming more real, and I'm becoming way more attached than I probably should.
The mystery itself kept me guessing until the very end and I have to admit that I never really saw it coming. I figured out parts of it, but not the entire picture. Fooling me is part of my criteria for what constitutes a good thriller/mystery. That and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I basically finished this in a day.
Great thriller, great characters, please keep the books coming! I can't wait for the next installment!

The author has done it again. Not only does he draw the reader into the story almost instantly, he keeps them there until the very end. One of my favourite authors and series.

Another great addition to the Erika Foster series. This is book 6 and I would massively recommend reading from the start rather than jumping straight in.

Thanks to Bookouture for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book 6 in the DI Erika Foster series and yet again this author has written an absolute corker of a book. From the very first page I was engrossed in the story and didn’t want to leave the book down. A fantastic crime thriller that will have you guessing right up to the last chapter. Massive 5 star read from me.
