Born in Air wasn’t the first in the series but it isn’t necessary to read them all to understand what all is going on in this one. That being said, I didn’t particularly enjoy this. There was far too much sex. Then the way Mark talked to Quincy during those scenes felt overly done and fake. I understand there was the BDSM element (and I have no problem with that, at all) but it became a bit off putting and I ended up skimming through a lot of this book because it lost its appeal pretty quickly.

I received Born in Air as a E-Arc via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Quincy is a baker. Working in the bakery his family has owned for generations. When a hot cop named Mark starts coming in and buying his raisin donuts he is extremely attracted to him. When Mark and him finally come together they are both surprised. Mark is a Dom, and Quincy is a kinky, kinky sub.

Mark has a rather big secret though. He is a dragon. He lost his true mate years ago and has never really gotten over it. The time they spend together is riveting and sexy for both of them till Quincy says something that Mark thought he would never hear again. Mark’s anger scares Quincy. He starts having dreams of flying with on a silver dragon, not sleeping, feeling worse everyday. When Mark finally decides that maybe Quincy is his he hopes it not to late.

This book is the fourth in a series. It is full of BDSM, kinky sex (lots of kinky sex) and soul mates.

I’m loving this series I’m a sucker for anything Sean Michael. It keeps getting better and better. Always on the lookout for any of his books. It’s a must read series! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

3.5 stars. I wanted Marks story so bad because he lost his soul mate and I wanted to find out how he got another one. I hate to say it but ther was way too much sex. I was hoping there would have been some type of battle since we found there to be something going on in the last book. I loved that we got to see several of the brothers come together towards the end and spend time with each other, flying and playing together and with their soul mates. I can’t want to read the next book, which is the last brother, and hopefully we have some type of battle. Or maybe a book after the last brother finds his mate.

Sean Michael has the almost unique ability to write erotica that has solid plot. Most of the time the plot in erotica is thin if there at all. Sean Michael writes a story the reader can get interested in as well as adding in the graphic sex expected in an erotic title. This particular title, I found, was barely too long and drug a little towards the end. I also found the BDSM aspect in this Sean Michael's to be more intense in some ways than in other Sean Michael's books I've read but that could just be where my brain in right now as they've written more intense relationships before.

This wasn’t the first in the series, but it was the first that I’ve read. Luckily there aren’t any spoilers (aside from Mark’s brothers being in relationships), so I was able to enjoy the story. Things start off pretty hot and heavy between Mark and Quincy and they don’t really let up. There is some drama at the beginning when Mark thinks Quincy is playing him and Mark is pretty mean about it. Thankfully that gets cleared up and they get back to the sexing. There’s quite a bit of BDSM in this book, and I even had to do some Google searching because I wasn’t clear on what some items were. Nothing bad, just new to me. There really wasn’t a conflict in this story, just Quincy needing to be told about Mark’s dragon and accepting it.
