I love a good hockey romance and Toni Aleo is known for writing the best ones. Misadventures with a Rookie is a great sport romances and I really enjoyed it.

I have to tell you, I am not a fan of the Misadventures series. I am not sure what it is?!?! I was really hoping to like some new authors within this series, but it has all just fallen flat for me. I know that I will try the series again when I have time to pleasure read it. But this book has been on my NetGalley shelf for awhile because I just can't finish it. I so wish I could!

DNF - Still a big fan of this author but just could not get into this one even at the 60% mark. Things started out okay but sadly the story seemed to just plateau out for me and as I kept hoping for things to pick up sadly they never did,

I have read a lot of the books in the Misadventures series and when I heard we had one featuring a hockey player, I had to read it!

The start was a bit of a rough sell for me. I was like, wow, one Misadventures I don't care for. But I continued to read on.

Gus is a manwhore. Cocky, arrogant, sex on a stick, etc. Such a player! I felt the same way our heroine, Bo, felt about him-utter disgust. Then as reading progressed, Gus was slowly changing.

Bo is a fiery chick herself! I know why she was so bitter and defensive. Noone wants to feel like they are getting screwed in life everytime you turn around! I found her dynamic with Gus intriguing and enlightening. They ended up being kindred spirits which needed the other for balance.it was endearing to see.

This was a good entry in the Misadventures series. It was sweet, sexy, funny, and overall very entertaining.

This was a very steamy and fun read. This was my first time reading anything by this author and it didn’t disappoint. Will definitely be picking up more if her books.

Steamy and funny sports romance!!

Bo (short for Bocephus...seriously!) is an ice girl for a minor league hockey team, a kids' figure skating coach and in school for physical therapy. Her plate is full and the last thing she needs is a fling with the hottest rookie on the hockey team. She's been burned in the past and is determined to stay as far away from Gus as possible.

Initially, Gus thinks Bo will be another notch on his bedpost. He's definitely the 'love 'em and leave 'em' type. But Bo intrigues him and he can't understand why she keeps shooting him down when she's obviously attracted. After a few hilarious visits to the E.R., the two find themselves in a sort-of relationship.

This book was much funnier than I expected and I loved reading Bo and Gus's story! Highly recommend this one - especially to sports romance fans!

This was a fantastic book with tons of snappy dialogue and sizzling chemistry. I am new to the work of Toni Aleo and super excited to read more of her work.

I absolutely love Toni Aleo's works so I had high expectations for this one. I absolutely adored and devoured this in one sitting. Very well-built characters, great plot, and fast paced. I'm in love with the Misadventures series.

This is a super addition to the misadventure series if you enjoyed Toni's other hockey romances then you will want to give this one a read it was great. Gus and Bo were just fantastic together this was well written and I would recommend it.

Misadventures of a Rookie was a good read by Toni Aleo. Gus is a rookie for the Malibu Suns who is used to getting what he wants especially from women. That is until he meets Bo. I loved Bo and Gus' story and can't wait to read more by Toni Aleo.

I was so pleased to see that Misadventures With a Rookie is a full length book! If Toni Aleo's contribution is any indication of the quality of the series, they are a great value purchase. MWaR has it all; terrific characters - primary and secondary are complete, quirky and engaging., a detailed entertaining sports setting - hockey, and a splendid romance. Toni writes with humor and passion, and the heat jumps off the page at times. I hope to see some of the secondary characters have their own stories told, and I'd love to know more about MWaR's hero's parents, they were a role model couple! I loved it. Highly Recommend.

Gus and Bo's story was so good I had a hard time putting it down. Sexy, fun, heartfelt, and sweet all wrapped into a wonderful story and awesome characters I couldn't help but root for!

I loved this book. It was fantastic and made me laugh so much! The stubbornness of Bo and Gus is palpable. The chemistry is more than enough to melt the ice. I loved the complexity of Bo’s life. Her secret shocked me, but it gave me a deeper understanding into why she behaved the way she did. I think Toni scored a major goal with this book. It was FANTASTIC!!!

Between the two of them they will have you laughing out loud and also maybe she’d a tear. But the chemistry you feel is amazing! Toni Aleo will not disappoint with this book, when you are at the end, it will leave a smile on your face. Definitely recommend adding this book to your TBR list.

He was someone she couldn’t stand. His presence alone was enough to set her on edge. He couldn’t possibly understand why she reacted to him the way she did. When she was near he felt a pull to be close to her. Gus knew he had to have her despite Bo’s adamant claims. They were like oil and water and her bark was worse than her bite. She needed to leave her past behind and accept her future. Will Gus be successful or will she be another one and done notch on his hockey stick?

This Misadventures series is definitely a fun read. This addition is a sports themed one. It follows Gus and Bo and the windy road to a HEA.

This was such a light, swoony and funny read. Can be definitely read over the weekend with a cup of tea if you’re looking for something witty and romantic!
