This is the third Camaro Espinoza thriller.

Another great mystery/thiller from Hawken, MAKE THEM SORRY sees Espinoza return to Miami on what, at first, appears to be a "standard" stalking case. However, as can perhaps be expected (even if it wasn't stated in the synopsis), there's much more going on.

I've seen Espinoza described as "the female Jack Reacher", which is a pretty good description of the character, as well as the feel of the series.

If you're a fan of crime/thriller novels, then you should really give Sam Hawken's Espinoza series a try. I think you'll enjoy it. If you've already read the first two novel, then you'll be pleased to hear that MAKE THEM SORRY is another great addition to the series, which sees the character continue to grow. Engaging and well-written. Recommended.

I may have said this before about this now-series, but to shout-out to the Dead Milkmen, I'm truly enjoying this bitchin' Camaro--the author, the character and her unfolding tale are lunging up any "favorites" list I'd whip up, and my patrons are also reaping the benefits. After finishing this one last night, I'll be e-mailing a few as soon as I send this to tell them their patience is about to be rewarded when the book for which they're on the list hits the catalog. (Special nod to Hawken's deft touch with brutal action / fight sequences--so many I read are mishmashes of terminology, martial arts and otherwise, that are difficult to "picture," but when Camaro tussles, I'm right there with her, even if she's taking all the blows.) Bring on the next one, please.

Another superb book featuring Epinoza. Hawken has created a female character worthy of comparison to others like Jack Reacher.
