For me, this is a case where watching the movie was far more interesting for me than reading this book. I was not expecting the format the book was in and it definitely made it hard for me to enjoy. I appreciated the chance to read the book although I determined that it was not for me.

My Cousin Vinnie is one of my favorite movies and the book didn’t disappoint! The book was a quick and hilarious read. The characters are well done and the book itself is just a great and fun read! I laughed out loud reading this!

We love this movie and I was soo excited to learn there is a book. I didn't know what to expect when I read this book. We watch this movie over and over again so the book had tons to live up to then. It did and then some. This book is written from the screenplay and is done very well. I didn't know if I would like it as much -- but I did. I enjoyed it and I wasn't disappointed -- I almost liked it more. The book is another way of enjoying the movie I already enjoy -- perfect! Whether you have seen the movie or not reading this book is a great option. I hear there is a sequel being released soon too. Can't wait!

I found this book to be delightful and hilarious. Yes, it runs basically the same as the movie, but it was a lot of fun to read! It made me laugh out loud al the time, making it hard to put down. The characters were the same as in the movie and easy to picture the actors who portrayed them. The storyline also the same, but I enjoyed it immensely. I recommend this if you are looking for a light read or just something plain humorours. It was great.

It plays out like the movie does and is a decent, quick, read. It's funny and defiantly something I would recommend to film fans.

My Cousin Vinny by Dale Launer was received direct from the publisher. Yes, this book is based upon the screenplay of the classic movie that made several people famous, for good reason. Why do so many years later I do not know but I guess it is good to introduce a new generation to Vinny and the other Yankees involved in this story of southern justice and, of course, family. if you liked the movie, the book is, of course, better. if the youngsters never saw the movie, buy them this book if they love good books.

This book clashes with the movie to its detriment. I love the movie, but I didn’t recognize the characters in this book, they seemed out of character, odd, and for some reason, felt like they were living in two eras at once. I really wanted to like this one, but I just couldn’t.

There are only a handful of movies that I have watched multiple times, and My Cousin Vinny is one of them. To me, it is like comfort food that evokes some type of happy memory and never fails to improve my state of mind on an otherwise challenging day. Since I prefer books over movies, I was excited to discover that Lawrence Kelter had written a book based on the screenplay.
I loved the actors cast in the movie and never fail to laugh and this book had the same effect. Two people in the wrong place at the wrong time, on trial for a crime they did not commit and there only hope, is their woefully inept lawyer Vinny. As I was reading, I kept laughing, at times so hard I thought I might never stop( and wondered if you really can die laughing). I don't personally know anyone who hasn't seen the movie and I've recommended this book to those friends who like to read. I know there must be people that are not familiar with My Cousin Vinny and I would suggest that they read the book then watch the movie. I am always interested to see how a book I love translates to the screen and I think if you read this first, you will be pleasantly surprised when you watch the movie.

This book is hysterical. I loved it. Being from Alabama, I could relate to these characters. I was up early and started reading it. I was laughing so hard that my husband got up to see what was wrong. Yes, I was laughing until I cried. The movie was good but I think the book is better. Thank you for writing this book.
