I liked the beginning. I really enjoyed it. But halfway through the book I just lost interest. I finished it tho. It was a nice story, it had a good premise, but in my honest opinion, it missed something. Maybe character development. Bethany was meh. And Sarah was the most annoying b*ch ever! I mean, that girl has literally no empathy. I liked the romance part, but the bikers-turned-wedding-planners was kinda unbelievable. The end was... just... It'd have been better if it was just Bethany, in my opinion. Otherwise, I think it's just... weird and little forced.

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

A cute feel good book that's a good read for the weekend with a bit of spice.

Never in all his years did he expect to meet his mother, but after meeting her he'll do anything to make her proud. Even coming up with a whopper of a lie and pulling it off.

Bethany is sick to death of her job and her special project. She is fed up with nepotism and will not tolerate it one more second. What she doesn't expect is to become unemployed.

When Trey meets Bethany he is totally taken an so is she. But is it allowed? Read their story!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I adored this story and the biker characters so much.

Bethany's best friend is getting married and she just quit her job and while she is looking for a new one her friend enlists her help with the planning of her wedding so she can concentrate on finals. Meanwhile, her "mother" (her BFF's mother and the woman who took her in after the death of her dad) just found her missing son.

Trey Harding is a biker who was abandoned in the bathroom of a gas station and raised by the foster system. He skirts the law with his gang but not in the way one would think but by trying to have drugs and other "bad" things out of the streets.

I liked how different from other MC books this story was and I found the premiss of the bikers-turned-wedding-planners to be entertaining and for the most part I enjoyed it but I think the author needed to either make this a RomCom or a touching contemporary story.

I found myself laughing at the antics of the MC guys one moment and the next Trey or Bethany revealed something about their past that was touching and I didn't know if I should be annoyed or sad. I will be looking for the next book in the series because I am interested to see the HEA of some of the other characters.

I had a very hard time getting into this book. I didn't find the main characters all that interesting and did not finish it.

This was really delightful? Like I was just so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. It was way more emotional/serious than I was expecting, and I was very much okay with that.

Trey is the leader of a MC but is pretending to be a wedding planner to please his mother. He meets Bethany and the sparks fly. Will the couple be able to plan a successful wedding for Trey's sister? A different MC read than others.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

This is a must-read for all biker fans. I just loved this it was a well-written fun read that had me hooked right until the very end. I am a huge MC fan so this was right up my street I just loved that the guys were all tough badasses but also had a softer side to them. I would recommend this book to all it is a great start to the series.

This book was different than I expected, not that it's a bad thing. It pulled me in all different directions and I enjoyed it.

I was drawn to the premise of a bikers who find themselves in the situation to run a wedding planning business. It started OK with some funny bits of humour and despite the over-the-top lost son plot, it was enjoyable. I was not very keen on the heroine from the start but she got progressively more naive and helpless towards. And the plot twists were getting ridiculous. There were nice touches but way too much stereotyping and cardboard secondary characters. I found the tone and pacing really uneven - fun and deep at times, then straight into the most predictable biker speak/actions. It was a disappointing read and I don't plan to continue with the series.

If you want a lighthearted romance this is perfect. Most people would never think of big burly tattooed bikers as wedding planners (me included) but let me tell you it works. It gave a real warm feeling to this story. The bikers became more realistic when showing their feminine side. They came up with project boards, tested new foods (which may or may not work in real life) but they worked here, flowers, decorations…You get the picture. It was a very interesting and fun part of the story.

The bikers were a tight knit group very loyal to each other and especially Trey. Trey has lived all his life wondering about his birth mother and why she left him in the bathroom of a gas station when he was young. Most people would grow up with hatred…but Trey want’s answers. He is about to not only meet his mom but also a sister.

His mom is a great person never once losing hope that she would one day be reunited with her son.
Bethany who happens to be Trey’s sisters best friend finds herself stepping in help out with the wedding. When she comes face to face with Trey she is a little skeptical. When asked what he does…wedding planner pops into his mind. And so that is how Trey and his biker buddies take on the wedding planner jobs. It is very laughable but also very believable.

Trey and Brittany have a strange beginning to their relationship but it makes for things to be a bit interesting. As the story develops it is easy to sit back and laugh at how things progress.

This quirky little story was fun with characters that were very endearing…I actually enjoyed the bikers the most. I found this to be a fast paced, light read that is perfect for a vacation or just something to take you away from the stress of life.

Ms. Cole gave us a sweet romance that will make you laugh.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars

Not a traditional motorcycle club book in that the MC life is not written about as in typical MC books. There is no clubhouse, discussion of "cuts" or titles of President, Vice-President, etc.

What we have is a group of men, the Iron Shadows, who do vigilante work as well as private security. What we know about Trey Harding is that he is the leader of the Iron Shadows and the other men follow his lead. Having been tossed around in foster care for most of his life, he's stunned to find out that his birth mother has been looking for him.

Bethany Jernigan is his new sister Sarah's closest friend and she lived with his family after her father died. Beth is determined to make sure that Trey doesn't take advantage of his new family and is going to do her best to protect them. Until she begins to fall for Trey.

The story is a good, the wedding planning a little unbelievable at times, but overall a good book. I want to read book two see what else is going on with the Iron Shadows.

This is not your typical motorcycle club (MC) story, with Trey being the leader and the rest of the guys – they take down drug dealers and try to keep their town clean. Trey has always thought he was left by his mother and he was raised in the foster care system. So, he didn't have much growing up. When he met the guys in his group, they became his family. When a man shows up telling him that his real mother wants to see him, Trey can't believe it. He doesn't know what to do or how to act. All of a sudden, he has a mother and a sister but learns his father died a few years ago.

Bethany is like a sister to Sarah and has just lost her job. She goes to the only family she can trust. And the funny thing is, they aren't even her real family. The Yelverton's had taken Bethany in after she became BFFs with Sarah. So when things go wrong in her life, Bethany goes to see Mama Yelverton, who seems to make things better.

Bethany thinks that Trey is using Mama Yelverton to get money, he can't be her son. Just look at him, he is all muscle and tattoos. And when Bethany really looks at him, she likes what she sees. As Bethany and Trey get closer, their feelings grow stronger. But Trey can't let her find out what he really does or that he is in an MC. But the feelings are coming too fast and both are falling fast for the other.

Can Trey slow things down before it's too late? Will Mama Yelverton run him off when she learns the truth? What will Bethany do after she learns what he really does? Can Sarah forgive his lies?

I really liked this story but at times it seemed kind of out there at times. Although Bethany was strong, she was a pushover with her own family, I would have loved for her to stand up and fight for her dad's things. I was torn between three and four stars but went with four stars because of the way it ended, you have to love an ending that can make you laugh. I can't wait to read more from this series and see who it will be about next.

Stevie‘s review of To Have and to Harley (Bikers & Brides, Book 1) by Regina Cole
Contemporary Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 07 Aug 18

It’s been a while since I found an MC Romance series that I could really get along with, but the blurb for this, the first book of hopefully many, made me smile, and I was more than a little intrigued by the idea of a bunch of bikers organising a wedding – with or without Bridezillas to fend off. The title’s cute too, even if the hero does ride a Ducati rather than a Harley.

Trey Harding has always assumed the worst of his mother for abandoning him in a gas station bathroom as a baby. He’s forced to change his opinion, however, when a private investigator tracks him down with the news that he was kidnapped from his well-off parents and thought by most people to have died along with the perpetrator. His mother never gave up looking for him, and now she wants them to meet. But knowing his true origins makes Trey ashamed of his current profession as leader of a biker gang, even if they enforce justice on criminals rather than committing crimes themselves. On the spur of the moment, he tells his mother that he’s a wedding planner – inspired by the bridal magazines scattered around his house – and she immediately hires him to organise his sister’s wedding, much to the disgust of the maid of honour and the bride’s best friend, Bethany Jernigan.

Bethany was more or less brought up by Trey’s long-lost family as a teenager, after her father died and the rest of her family showed how unsuitable they were to care for anyone. When she meets Trey and hears his story, she’s instantly suspicious and decides to find out who he really is, at the same time ensuring that her best friend’s wedding takes place without the disasters she foresees if Trey is left in charge. Trey, meanwhile, breaks the news to his fellow bikers that they’re organising a wedding and is surprised at their enthusiasm for the idea.

I really enjoyed this story. Bethany’s family is awful, and it’s easy to see why she prefers to spend time with that of her best friend – and now Trey – but she’s also loyal to a fault and can’t just walk away from them no matter how bad their behaviour gets. Trey and his comrades try hard at juggling their regular work – including having to deal with some new bad guys who have moved into their territory – with organising not one, but two, weddings. They need to have a practice run, after all.

I liked the romance between Trey and Bethany, although some of the conflict felt a little forced. They both have past issues that bleed into their present situations: Bethany’s family keeps popping up to plague her, including breaking into her house to steal stuff, while Trey can’t turn his back on the enforcement work he’s been carrying out for the people he’s always stood by in the past.

The punchline to both plots is a great setup for the rest of the series, and I really want to spend more time hanging out with these characters. At last I seem to have the biker series I’ve been longing for.

This was a fun read. A fish out of water, Trey Harding pretends to be a wedding planner and volunteers himself and his motorcycle club to plan the wedding of a sister he just recently meant. The silver lining is that his co-planner is Bethany Jernigan, his sister's best friend, who he's immediately smitten by. Sparks fly as Trey tries to convince the doubtful Bethany he's the real deal.

This was my first book by this author and I loved it. I laughed out loud many times while reading this story over the long weekend. Trey was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing how he tried to get through planning a wedding with Bethany. I can not wait for the rest of the series.

I thought I'd love this tale of a bad boy biker pretending he and his buddies were wedding planners, but alas the premise was way better than the actual story. I was hoping for a light-hearted rom-com, but instead found this to be emotionally all over the place.

TO HAVE AND TO HARLEY is the first book in Regina Cole's Bikers and Brides series. This is the first book I've ever read by Regina Cole, but I look forward to trying others. This story is an interesting and unlikely mix of fun romantic-comedy and SONS OF ANARCHY. The major difference between this book and other stories about bikers, are the bikers themselves. The men in the Iron Shadows are all basically good guys. Although in a biker gang, the Shadows are more about taking down criminals rather than participating in the usual criminal activities associated with biker gangs. Iron Shadows leader Trey Harding is hit with an emotional grenade when he discovers his long-lost mother and sister. His overwhelming feelings lead him to make a rash decision and pretend to be a wedding planner. When Trey is stuck planning his sister's wedding and has her BFF Bethany checking up on him, lots of romantic shenanigans ensue.

For Bethany Jernigan, the Yelvertons are her family. With only a nasty, psycho of a grandmother, the Yelvertons are her refuge. For Trey, his biker brothers have been his family all these years. I'm happy that Regina Cole doesn't have Bethany trying to prove Trey's a fraud throughout the entire book. It doesn't take long for her to realize that the hottie she's attracted to has a big heart. The conflict and drama in TO HAVE AND TO HARLEY come from Trey's having to hide what he and his biker brothers really do. More than any sense of feeling ashamed, Trey feels that keeping his big secret protects Bethany from danger. Trey is under a lot of pressure as he and the Shadows try to take on the local drug dealers in town and kick them out. Regina Cole makes a good effort of trying to balance the fun and sexy times from the action and suspense-filled moments.

TO HAVE AND TO HARLEY is a character-driven story full of rom-com fun with a splash of suspense. I typically read romances that are light rather than suspense-filled, but these characters are great and make this book worth checking out. Wolf, Ace, and Jameson had the strongest presence in TO HAVE AND TO HARLEY and I can't wait for their stories. I look forward to Regina Cole's next Bikers and Brides book.
