Such a sweet story! A must have for Father's Day reading. It's a short one, but just right for toddlers and preschoolers. Nice way to open a discussion on what makes one's daddy special. Illustrations are fabulous and I bet colorful, but having only a Kindle, I don;t have that options! I will be looking for this book as it will make a nice addition to a father's day collection! Love Guido Van Genechten's work!

The book has a great concept - of loving our family (fathers, in this case) and appreciating their skills. The book exudes positivity and instills the ability to look at the bright side of everyone.

The only thing I wished it had was a better narration. The story starts and ends abruptly. It would be great if the author could have engage the curious reader. Had the book been written as a poem, I believe it would have had a greater impact.

A beautifully illustrated book with such a sweet message! A little fish goes swimming in the sea and comes across different animals who tell him why their own daddy is so great. And he comes to the conclusion that his daddy is just as special and he loves him and is the best in his eyes. My daughter (3) really enjoyed being able to name the animals and opened up a good discussion on why her own daddy was the best!

If my four year old loves a book, then I love a book. What draws us in, are the wonderful pictures and the fun stories. This book had great art. My little one kept pausing and looking over each page to make sure he didn't miss a detail. The story was fun, but the one thing that seemed strange was the abrupt ending. Either way, we read the book several times.

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

In Little White Fish and His Daddy readers are taken on an underworld adventure where they meet several sea creatures. Very bright colorful illustrations are accompanied by engaging text that asks each animal what their dad is the best at. By the end little readers can't help but add what's special about their dads. Perfect book for Father's Day

This is a sweet book about Little White Fish and his friends and their love for their daddies. My three year old loved it and asked to read it again immediately after finishing it the first time. The colours are bright and the story is simple but sweet.

This is a darling little book about kids and their dads. The illustrations are colorful and enticing and the story is short enough for even fiddly toddlers. There aren't a lot of "dad" and me books and I think this could be a winner. I didn't realize that this is a series and will be looking into the other Little White Fish books.

My 2 year old granddaughter liked it and I read it to her several times. I would recommend it for ages 1 and 1/2 through 3, very cute and sweet!

Will post to Amazon upon pubilcation.

This is an adorable children's book! Little white fish goes around to his friends and hears about their awesome dads and ends the book telling us how great his dad is. It is wonderful to see a book about dads, because I think that in many children's books moms are the go to parent we see. This is a wonderful gift to give to a new dad. I can't wait to get this book in physical copy to have my twin boys read with their dad!

All the sea animals are bragging about their daddies.
Some fit perfectly, others are a stretch, but if you want to teach your little one to be proud of Daddy, this is the book to do it.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

There aren't enough Daddy books out there for dads to read at storytime. Enter Little White Fish. Solved!

Received a digital copy to review. My beginner reader enjoyed this and was able to get through it with little help. My smaller children enjoyed the pictures and I felt the vibrant illustrations brought the book to life.

This a BEAUTIFULLY illustrated book about the animals of the sea and what makes their daddies special. Each daddy was unique and appreciated for their individuality and what made them special. This was probably one of the most gorgeous books as far as pictures, that I've come across in a long time. Small children (thinking up to toddlers) will absolutely love it!!

I am so glad that I downloaded this one because it is gorgeous!

I couldn’t find any illustrator information for this book so my assumption (correct me if you know differently) is that the author, Guido van Genechten, illustrated this book, as well. The artwork is stunning. Every page. You see this little white fish swimming around to his friends, each one talking about how amazing their daddy is. And then you get to see Little White Fish’s daddy. It’s such a sweet little story.

I read this book in less than a minute. Of course, when Mister Chu and I went back through it the next day, it took a teensy bit longer. We talked about the different animals living in the sea, Little White Fish’s friends, the colors, the objects in the pictures.

The turtles were my favorite. He seemed partial to the giant purple octopus. No matter what animals your child likes, this book has something for everyone. And it’s simple. Perfect for little ones to understand as you read to them, or even beginning readers to read by themselves. I have already pre-ordered my copy (it comes out in May!) and can’t wait to watch Mister Chu and Lady Quinn ooh and ahhh over the colors in the paperback!

Amazon classifies these books as ages 3-6 but I am going to say they are great for any age! Have a child younger than three? They will love looking at the pictures and listening to you read. How about a child older than six? They’re going to be able to read this on their own, possibly even to younger siblings, friends or cousins! Even as a 30-something adult, I loved Little White Fish and His Daddy. Definite Top Ten of 2018 contender 🙂

This is a sweet little book. Little Fish listens as his friends explain how great their fathers are, and he shares why his father is great at the end, too. The exaggerations are a bit much for me as an adult ("my dad knows...everything"), but I wouldn't be surprised to hear little ones make statements like these. It's sweet that there isn't a competition - each father is special in some way and it's impressive to the children. Little Fish is impressed as he encounters each father & child, and all the children are impressed when Little Fish shares about his father. This would be a sweet book to include in Father's Day and parenting collections.

The illustrations are cheerful and bright. There is high contrast between the white and colorful characters, and the black background. The more I look at the illustrations, the more I'm enjoying them, and thinking that I need to add this book. :)

I love the graphics in this book. They are stunning. I wish the story had a moral to it and then it would be perfect. Despite this, it is still cute and I can see my little one really enjoying this title.

This book is super-sweet. It's really short. I have to assume it's going to be a board book, but I didn't look at the format. So, the thing I liked about this book was that this little fish is going around and hearing all of these other sea creatures brag about their daddies, and the little white fish is just completely accepting of their praise. He's simply impressed by all their daddies. There's no competition, no "my dad can beat up your dad" or even "my dad is better." I find this positive and refreshing. There's no ill will. It's also great that one of the things that makes little white fish's dad so great is that he reads him stories. Cute, engaging illustrations that will captivate young readers and listeners.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is for very young readers. It is cute with good graphics with animals most small children would recognize. What makes your dad special? 4 stars

Little White Fish has a lot of friends. And they all have amazing daddies. Little Sea Horse’s dad is really fast. Little Whale’s dad is the biggest in the ocean. But, of course Little White Fish’s daddy is very good at something, too! A heartwarming story for Father’s Day, and every day, for ages 2.5 and up.

Bright and colourful, this book is a story of what fathers mean to their children. Some are very good at their jobs, their sports, their hobbies...and some are just good at being dads. It explores the feelings of children and how they express themselves.

This will make a good addition to any library or bookshelf. Lots of colour and a simple story will make this a favourite for many children.

The illustrations in this book are incredible and very engaging! The story itself is cute and represents relationships with dads in a positive light, something that isn't shown regularly enough. It was a short but very nice book for the target age-range. The story combines engaging illustrations with a very relatable story that shows father and also examples diversity and opinions. It is definitely a book I would put in my class' library.

I received an e-Advanced copy from the publisher for my review through NetGalley.
