Thank you Netgalley for providing this book!

A good collection all-in-all but as always for collections, not everything were your cup of tea.

Thank you publisher for this copy. The book consists of many stories of vices and virtues written by different authors. Some stories are eerie and dark but nonetheless all-in-all it is a good story.

Vices and Virtues is an anthology of short stories, each one tied to a certain deadly sin. It is a collection of dark horror stories from various authors. The concept is overall very good, and some of the stories are quite interesting and well written. However, some of them were too graphic (the first one, for example), verging on the brink of gore, and other were not very interesting overall. All in all, it was a good concept, but it felt like the story picking was not very successful.

Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review, "Vices and Virtues". This is a dark book. Darker than things I usually read but I was pretty intrigued the whole time I read it. I like the whole idea behind this anthology. Overall, a good read.

I tried reading the first story and couldn't go past the first page, it was so awkward. I tried the second one, and didn't finish cause i didn't care for the plot or the characters. The third one, i just skimmed through. I decided to DNF, the stories i read didn't really attract me and i was either bored or annoyed while reading.

I could not even finish this one. I tried then stopped. Then tried another story which turned into a dark twist and was just not my cup of tea. I guess, to each their own.
I received this ARC from the publisher at my request via Net Galley.

Well, this was probably the most interesting book I've ever read. Some of the stories had perfect ideas, awesome characters with dark sides and gripping atmosphere. I totally loved Sins of the Flesh, although it was kind of disgusting and really bloody. Fascinating story!
A Million Clay Wolves was a sad, tragic story, but the plot was amazing. Probably the best story in book. Good stories were also One Forgives as One Loves and Evelyn.
Sadly, a lot of stories were just boring, too long or without good plot. It was disappointing. I think the worst story was Seven Days, because I did not like the theme and because of that, I was bored.

Received as an ARC from #NetGalley and publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thanks!

Very interesting, and well done.
Some stories I really enjoyed, while others were mehh. That happens with collections.
But overall, this is SUCH a cool idea, with all the stories being the vices and (twisted) virtues.
My favorite stories were:
One Forgives as One Loves by Trinity Hanrahan,
A Sorcerer's Road to Temperance by Maggie Jane Schuler,
and Hell's Match by Aria Peyton.

Thanks to the publishers & Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

An interesting series of short stories on Vices and Virtues, what I didn't overly like was how most of the virtues were turned to the dark side, and a lot of the stories were overly sexual.

Not at all what I was expecting, the first story for example was not what I was expecting. A lot of these stories start off sweet then have a dark twist to them in the end, it's a pretty cool book if you can handle reading about Gore, and such the like. I don't want to get in to too many details but it definitely has a tw attached to it before you read it.

Sins will weave you into their webs. They become the Vice you’re unable to shake. There are the values, taught from birth, which ride a razor’s edge. They turn into Dark Virtues, a twisted mockery of their true meaning.Pride, envy, lust, gluttony, anger, greed and sloth all have their place in the tapestry of life. They are the Vices who lost sight of the Virtues: charity, temperance, forgiveness, humility, kindness, chastity and diligence. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. All authors are magnifysent writers.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books.
