This was a gem of a book, my children loved it, my own two at home as well as the 26 in my classroom. It contained so many pearls of wisdom as well as many funny twists and gross facts that my two sons love so much. We learned lots and can't wait to visit the Grand Canyon for ourselves. I'd highly recommend this read, for pleasure and also for the primary classroom!!

What a fun and informative book about Arizona! I wish the ebook included the images, and in some places the formatting is thrown off due to the lack of images, but this is a great book I would absolutely recommend in hard copy and may look to purchase it in that version for myself.

There is a series of books, out of the UK, called Horrible Histories. It is informative, funny, and fun to read. And isn't that the point of books, well, perhaps not the point of all books, but the point of books that you should read, is that it helps if they are funny. And it also helps to remember the facts that you read, if the writing is light and amusing.

So it is cool that this book, is very light, and funny, and informative, all at the same time. I thought, when I first saw it, oh, Arizona, right, like there could be anything this book could teach me about that.

And it did.

And it did it well.

I am currently reading a long-ass book about the Indigenous peoples of what is now the province of Saskatchewan. And in all these writings of the Cree and the other First Nations, I came across the fact that Sitting Bull took refuge in Canada, and that the Indiginous peoples were watching what happened down in the states, such as the Battle of Little Big Horn, which is covered, amazingly, in this book, and done well, and with respect.

There are a lot of cool facts about Arizona, in the book, about the native plants, about the native people, and about land itself.

Most enjoyable read, and I got to learn a lot of cool facts I did not know before.
