Great, heart-warming characters. Very interesting plot. Vivid descriptions. I felt every emotion. Just enough romance. Kept me intrigued from the first page to the last. Simply a GREAT read!

*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

***ARC received in exchange of an honest opinion***

I enjoyed this book, although it took me a while to get into it. The writing improved through the story, but I admit it was hard, at first, to get into it. I feel the writing was quite stiff in the beginning and I could feel the author letting loose as the story progressed.

As plotline goes, this isn't the first historical book I've read with that plotline, it wasn't awlfully original, but it wasn't bad either.

Overall it was an ok read, but ai'm rating it a 3 stars because I feel like the story got better.

A refreshingly engaging story. The heroine has had a hard upbring and will doing any thing to escape her future. The hero works and lives for the Crown and will do any thing for the Crown. Unexpected twists and surprise keep the story going. I truly enjoyed. By the end every thing wrapped up nicely except the sister. I wonder if well ever find out.

An American Heiress, an elite Spy and a american father who wants a big title for his daughter, which can easily be arranged by marrying an old man. But Daisy doesnt want to be married to "somebody". She is wild und unconventional and that's what the Duke of Trent likes about her.
Two days and I was through with this book - very well written, a good character development ... a must read!

Daisy Vanreid, an American heiress, is desperate to escape her abusive father. He intends to marry her to a lecherous older man. Upon meeting Sebastian, the Duke of Trent, she sets out to trap him in to marriage.
Sebastian, has many secrets, chief among them, he is a spy for the crown. his current mission is to follow Daisy. His superiors believe her to be in cahoots with her father. Encouraged by his superiors he agrees to the marriage.
Writing this review sometime after I read the book, I found myself struggling to remember the plot. It just didn’t grip me. While not poorly written, I have read better, more memorable books recently.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. For more reviews please visit my blog:

Daisy Vanreid is American, beautiful, and intriguing. Both she and her father are suspected Fenians (terrorist). Her father is trying to force her into an unwanted engagement with Lord Beckley, who is thirty years older than she is, and he is disgusting. So she is working hard to be ruined so she will not have to marry him. Sebastion Fairmont, Duke of Trent is a spy for the crown and has been for quite a while. He has been assigned to watch over her and see if they can prove her innocence or guilt, along with her father
There is intrigue, danger, and murder. The bad guys want to bring in dynamite, (a new invention) and use it on buildings to force the issue. One child has already died because of them. The characters are credible and it is interesting to watch Sebastion work. The plot presents so many possiblities and the author has handled this so well. It is a read you will not want to put down.

What happens when American heiress Daisy Vanreid is determined to get away from her father and not marry who he picks out for her? Sebastian, the Duke of Trent, an elite spy for the crown happens! What Daisy does not know is that he had her in his sights to find out what her father was involved in with a group called the Fenians, who are plotting setting off bombs in England's cities. Forced to wed Daisy as part of his cover, he has no intention of making it a real marriage or falling for her. But the best laid plans and all that does not work out and there is an explosive chemistry between the two. Of course Daisy does not know Sebastian is a spy or what his mission has to do with her. This story grabbed me from the first and was an adventure until the very end. Each not really trusting the other and how it all plays out was fantastic! Part of a series this book can be read as a standalone. But I intend to go back and read the first two books because this one was so fantastic!! This is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be the last. A steamy romantic read with suspense and a lot of emotions!

A very enjoyable read. I really liked both characters, they were interesting and I felt real. The background and overall story were great. If you like historical romance then it’s a winner.

I didn’t realise it was book 3 in a series but it didn’t matter at all. I thought it worked well as a stand alone.

I did feel the pacing wasn’t consistent and some of the dialogue and letters weren’t that historically rich.

Set against a backdrop of Fenian threats to 1880s Britain, this is a great Victorian romance with an American heiress and a British spy, forced to marry and then threatened. The plot ball doesn't seem forced, and the ending is genuinely earned and satisfying.

This is book three in the series. It's good to read as part of the series or as a stand alone. There were lots of ups and downs to keep us entertained. Written well and had likeable characters. A must read!

This story started at a good pace, although it did slow down about a third of the way. However, do keep reading as it picks up and then turned into a story that I couldn’t put down. Daisy, an American heiress, is desperate to escape her abusive father’s clutches. Sebastian, Duke of Trent, a spy for the Crown, is ordered to marry Daisy to discover the links to the Fenians. Daisy and Sebastian were both used as pawns, in a way. However, from an indifferent beginning, deeper feelings developed. There were other factors that come into play and it was good to see Daisy develop into her own woman. Sebastian is torn between his duty and his love. I disliked Carlisle, ( Sebastian’s superior ) intensely and I just wished someone would bring him down! I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

American heiress Daisy Vanreid is desperate to avoid her abusive father marrying her to the equally abusive aging aristocrat, Lord Breckly. She’ll do anything, even entrap the notorious Duke of Trent into marriage, to escape her fate. An elite spy, Sebastian, the Duke of Trent, is on a mission to unravel Fenian bomb plots in England’s cities. Forced to wed Daisy as part of his cover, he has no intention of falling in love with a woman suspected of treason.
I really enjoyed the book Daisy & Sebastian both have their reasons for marrying but neither can deny their attraction to each other. The story flowed well, on the whole the pace was good but it did slow at about a third of the way through but then picked up gain & I was totally engrossed & ended up reading well into the night.

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Daisy Vanreid will do anything to prevent her father from marrying her to a lecherous older man. Even throw herself at any eligible male with the hope that he will marry her. Fortunately for Daisy, Sebastian, the Duke of Trent, has been sent to spy on her and in doing so, finds himself gladly being forced to marry her. Sebastian finds himself falling in love with Daisy despite his colleagues believing her to be involved with her father, in threatening national safety.
‘Her Reformed Rake’ is the third book in the Wicked Husbands series by Scarlett Scott and I am definitely hooked into reading her other earlier books. There was plenty of action and romance in this to keep me reading in one sitting.
I received an advanced review copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Another keeper from Scarlett Scott. Daisy and Sebastian were so lovely together. The plot was enticing. The pace was good. A massive thumb up for the sex scenes. They were HOT..
I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review that is all my own.

I found it mediocre. I'm not usually a romance reader, and reading this bore that out. Possibly romance fans would enjoy this more than I did.

This review was based on an ARC ebook received in return for an honest and unbiased review.

Poorly written and boring. The H wasn’t a reformed rake at all. In fact there was no rakish behaviour from him through the entire book. Glorified sex scenes that took up pages of what could have been actual plot or bonding between characters. Skimmed the majority of the book because I got too annoyed with it.
