I enjoy T.A. Williams stories of travel, new beginnings and romance. In Dreaming of St. Tropez, we meet Jess Milton, an architect who is let go from her firm after a rude encounter with one of their high profile clients. Out of a job and not sure what to do next, she is offered an opportunity to get away. She is offered a job to look after a client's lab Brutus, in St. Tropez. She and her friend Hope, along with Brutus, head off a bit reluctantly and arrive at the villa. They were a bit unexpected, but have a lovely guesthouse to stay in. As they settle in, Jess becomes friendly with the owner of the villa and his son David. She begins to love the area and the people, but knows that she wants to continue her career as an architect and will need to return home.

This was a beautiful story. Jess was not sure what to do next, but as she begins to unwind, you see a caring, sweet woman who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She easily makes friends with those she meets and has a lot of integrity. I immediately disliked the man who had her fired from her job. Hope has her own storyline in the book that added to my enjoyment. I love seeing women stand up for themselves. Brutus was an amazing character as well. He was an overweight dog who brought Jess and David together. He loved swimming in the sea and going for walks. A real personality as we know all dogs are. David was the grandson of Jess' client and had undergone his own tragedy. She had hoped that Jess would help bring him out of his self-imposed isolation. This was a sweet and heartwarming story, with some serious issues of sexual harassment, overcoming injuries, standing up for oneself and beginning again. I always love the travel aspect to Trevor's books and this one did not disappoint. This is a compelling, heart warming must read, and in these times of limited travel was a perfect fit.

When I picked up this book, I didn't know anything about the author and I hadn't heard of the book. However, I knew I wanted a lighter read that whisked me away to somewhere beautiful. And that's exactly what I got from this book. Overall, I enjoyed the book a lot. It would have been a solid four star rating from me, but I wasn't fond of the paths a few of the minor story lines took in this book, and I didn't love a few of the minor characters either. However, I wanted to feel like I was in a foreign country living life in a beautiful location and from T.A. Williams' writing and descriptions, I definitely got those feelings! I'm definitely interesting in reading some more of his books to see what they have in store!

A brilliant Summer read that will take you to the warm climates of St.Tropez even if you're in the depths of winter whilst you're reading!

Although it’s seasonally mild, it’s still getting chilly, so what could be better than escaping to the South of France for drama and romance?

Dreaming of St-Tropez is one of a series of ‘Dreaming of…’ books by T. A. Williams in which the main characters leave their old lives behind in favourite of exotic locations. These books have been previously only available as e-books, but some have recently been published in paperback through The Works – it’s great to have these books more widely available.

To sum this book up, I’d say it was pure escapism – two beautiful young girls travel to the South of France and enjoy all that it has to offer, while making positive changes in the lives of their hosts. The stunning scenery and locations are described with lots of detail to make you really feel as though you’re experiencing that warm sunshine with them, and the central romance plot is initially sweet, with a very dramatic ending!

Although I am happy to have read quite a few of T. A. Williams’ books, I think so far this is my favourite – Jess and David make a very star-crossed couple, but getting to their eventual resolution is an engaging journey.

This is another great summer read from T A Williams. I have been looking forward to reading it as I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dreaming of Florence. (You can read my review here.) This one lived up to my expectations. It has a tremendous setting, a great cast of characters, a sparky and intelligent central character and that gorgeous black labrador. The descriptions of St Tropez really make the place come alive, it is so full of the sights, the colours and the sounds of the South of France.

Jess is a thoroughly likeable heroine, without pretension and you really believe that she would fit into the place so quickly. There are some real touches of humour, some of which are the result of that black labrador's exploits whose eyes are always bigger than his tummy in good labrador fashion.

In short: A taste of Summer served up between two delicious slices of French bread.

Thanks to the author for a copy of the book.

I am a huge fan of this author and love his stories. He always paints the picture of wherever he is writing about so well, I can almost imagine it in my mind as I read. I also love that, yet again, his story features a dog. In this one the dog in question plays a huge part in the story. I can’t wait to see where his adventures take us next.

What another fantastic read from this author. This was a wonderful read. Whats not to love. Invite to dog sit a black lab, in a guest house in St Tropez. Where do i sign up? This is exactly what Jess and her friend Hope do for the summer. You follow the ups and downs. meeting of new friends. And a touch of romance to add to the mix. Love the writers style of writing. He keeps you entertained. Will be a top summer read

5☆ Another Must Read!

Once again Trevor has written a Compelling, heart warming Must Read.
He is by far one of my favourite Authors. You always know that if you pick up one of his books it will be fabulous!

Dreaming of St Tropez is a fun, enthralling, warm, laugh out loud Romance, with a gorgeous location, drama, a dash of mystery and of course a loveable pup!

Poor Jess, she ends up losing her job when a Russian billionaire takes a fancy to her. Quiet rightly so Jess puts him in his place. However the outcome to standing up for herself means she loses her job.
So much for stamping out sexual harassment!

As luck has it Jess gets offered another job.
She is offered a job to look after a client's gorgeous lab Brutus. Yayy I love that Trevor always includes a pup. Being a dog lover what a fun job!

Jess asks her best friend Hope to join her as they set off to St Tropez to dog sit Brutus. I mean what could possibly go wrong.

I loved Jess, she's strong, kind, has a big heart, loves her job, I admire her strength when she stood up for herself.

But of course for me Brutus was the star of the book. With weight to lose, it was wonderful to see him lose weight and become an energetic, loveable pup.(Not that he wasn't loveable to start with)

It's a vivid rich tale that has absolutely stolen my heart. It's Enchanting in every sense. The setting descriptions are superbly written I was literally transported to St Tropez.
The Characters are relatable, witty and strong.
Trevor always has knack of storytelling with a lot of heart, fun, warmth and always makes you feel good.

Be prepared to fall in love with this gorgeous feel good book.
It really does have a lil of everything.
Sun, sea, romance, laughter, mischief, drama, a pup and a gorgeous location.

Thank you to Canelo for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This is a great summer read and a fun escape. The setting is sublime and the authors writing whisks you away to a gorgeous summer adventure.
Jess has parted ways with her boss and her career. after standing up to a rude demanding client. She soon finds herself signing on to a unique new paid position that may be a dream come true. She is to be a dog sitter for a very large well loved Labrador dog on San Topez. Her employer is a former client . She is enjoying her new position and the beach when she becomes involved in the family dynamics of the family and finds her own way along the beach to who she truly is.
I loved this book for the detail of the location, the bright heroine who is finding her way and the supporting charcters who all added depth to the story.
This book i highly recommend for all who enjoy a happy story set on a beautiful island location to take you away from the drudgery of life. A wonderful read ! I received a ARC for my honest opinion.

Once again, the author's keen eye for detail immediately transports us to the sunny Mediterranean. When Jess loses her job through no fault of her own, she can hardly imagine that before long she'll be living the high life in St, Tropez. Naturally, she has to take best friend Hope on the journey as it's really her dream. Brutus the dog is an inspired creation and provides some humour along the way. A lovely easy to read style and pure escapism - loved it!

It's an absolute pleasure and delight to have indulged in another gorgeous read from the pen (or perhaps computer?) of T. A. Williams.

Jess Milton's friend Hope has a poster of St-Tropez which she looks at longingly and dreams of the day she may finally manage to visit. When Jess stands up to a Russian oligarch not used to hearing the word 'no' he extracts his revenge by getting her fired from her architect's job. Just as she's enjoying her gardening leave, courtesy of a generous payoff, a former client asks her to get in touch, then makes her an offer which she really cannot refuse. In the course of carrying out this favour, she gets to make Hope's dream come true as well. Result!

As always, this author has a flair for setting his novel in an awe-inspiring location and then proceeding to make the reader feel like a local. The information on St-Tropez and the surrounding area would put any tourist information kiosk to shame, and I can't imagine I'm the only person feeling like having an extended stay there by the time I settled into this read.

With an idyllic location, the story is as well-written and flowing as always. A good plot with well rounded characters who feel so real that I would expect to meet them if I ever managed to visit the area. As in all Trevor Williams' books, there is the inclusion of a black labrador, showing all the traits of this wonderful breed and, for me, the icing on the cake of each of this author's novels. A good satisfying read, with all the storylines neatly tied off and a sense of goodwill as you reach the end. Why wouldn't you add this to your reading list? Perfect holiday read and worthy of a full five golden, sunny stars!

My thanks to publishers Canelo for auto-approving my copy via NetGalley. This is my honest, original and unbiased review.

When Jess suddenly finds herself out of a job she is asked to take an overweight Labrador Brutus to St Tropez and dog sit for a few weeks and so heads off for some time in the sun. Once established in the family she meets David and his father who are both feeling depressed after a bereavement and she gradually makes a bond with David - can she find love as well as sunshine on the French Riviera?

What's not to like - sun, romance and the trademark Labrador - another lovely book from this author - I always look forward to sitting down and reading his books and this is another great summer read

Dreaming of St Tropez is a wonderful read that will put you in the mood to take a sun-drenched holiday. Love comes in many shapes and sizes and it doesn’t always look the way one might expect. Sometimes honesty goes out the window when someone is trying to impress another, but honesty always needs to be part of your communication if you’re going to make things work at the end of the day. Finding love, friendship, and joy in life is a wonderful thing in a tropical place like St Tropez.

Overcoming past troubles both emotionally and physically can take a toll, but over time the joy of life wins when you’re surrounded with people that are caring and supportive. This story was filled with lots of interesting and likable characters mixed with some surprises along the way. From start to finish this was a thoroughly enjoyable novel that I highly recommend.

You know that feeling when you just want to crawl inside a book because you are enjoying it so much. Well that was how I was while reading Dreaming of St. Tropez. T.A. Williams has done it once again and created a beautiful story that well and truly whisked me away. His writing style has such a warm and inviting feel that instantly transports you with all the gorgeous descriptions.

This book has a lovely balance of fun and deeper moments that created a lovely feel good story that is absolutely perfect for summer. Jess and Hope had a lovely friendship and it was great to see them experience all the delights of St. Tropez. There is romance, friendships and a beautiful setting along with a very special mention going to the adorable Labrador Brutus as he really played a fabulous part in the story. He was playful, fun and just that little bit mischievous making the story all the more fun for him being a part of it. I have to admit that I want my very own Brutus, I loved him!

I was smiling throughout as Jess and Hope went on their adventure in this charming and uplifting story. I'm already looking forward to the next book by T.A. Williams!

Five stars from me!

With thanks to Ellie at Canelo for my copy.

I could quite easily summarise our review of the story that's behind the striking cover of Dreaming of St Tropez in one word. "DELIGHTFUL"
And you would only have to start reading to find out why. Opening the cover you step straight into the life of Jess.
Jess is a likeable character whose life takes an unexpected turn. Many will find her easy to relate to. When given a new opportunity, it's always difficult to make the ultimate decision whether or not to take it. And the story that unfolds will make for entertaining, summer reading.
Turning the pages, increases the desire to read more and more. You will smile, laugh, cry and gasp with "uh oh" moments.
Dreaming of St Tropez, is written in such a way that you are automatically transported to the location, your stomach rumbling at the food and you will feel the sun on your back at the beach bar.
I enjoyed every second of my vacation in St Tropez last weekend! And reading this made me feel as though I had, had a weekend away without leaving home. The medicine I very much needed after a sudden allergic reaction set, grinding me to a halt.
There was only one problem.... the book came to an end. Please keep writing, T A Williams.....
Another exceptional book, from a very talented author.
Thank you to T A Williams and Ellie at Canelo for our advanced review copy and invite to join the book tour.
