Pretty book! I love all the crafts in this book! I like the step by step photo instructions- it's a big plus! I love crafts, but written instructions by themselves, or sometimes with just a few drawings, doesn't always help. I love seeing the actual photos as something is being crafted; makes it easier. Also, thank you for the patterns at the end of the book! I've actually had craft books with NO patterns and it is soooo annoying! I loved the cuckoo clock! Very nice!

The versatility of paper is amazing. It can be your grocery list, a lovely card, an introduction to your business (business card), even and airplane. With Paper Craft Home you can learn how to transform paper into beautiful pieces which will delete your family and friends.

There are 25 projects included within the book. Each requires only a few basic techniques to be mastered.

Once mastered, the results yielded will be amazing. Projects range from Gift Boxes to Cake Toppers, there is a Lampshade, Clock, Garland and so much more.

One thing I was thoroughly happy about, is how easy it would be to get into paper crafting. While it would be possible to go more expensive, it is also very possible to get many of the items you want inexpensively, and even at the dollar store.

With so many crafts costing a lot to start out, it is nice to find one that is cost-effective. Even during your learning process, you won’t be so upset if you make the odd mistake when it only cost you a few pennies per sheet.

Throughout the book, there are various levels of difficulty for each of the projects, from Beginner to Intermediate and then on to Advanced. Cutting, Scoring, Folding, Bow Tying, and Curling are all used throughout the book.

The level of detail in the instruction is impressive. Each project includes step-by-step photographs and instructions which are beyond easy to follow. Even somebody coming new to paper crafting could be entirely successful.

A list of must-have beginner materials is followed by must have tools. Both of these lists will be invaluable to the new crafter.

Easy To Follow, An Excellent Resource

The various techniques which are described are well photographed. The layout is done in such a way that it makes it even easier to follow. With crafting like this it does take many steps to create the desired results. The steps as described, however, are not overwhelming.

Because of the excellent level of instruction, I believe this book will make an excellent resource for new and experienced paper crafters. Looking online, or in craft stores, for different templates, you will be able to apply these techniques to other designs as well.

A very well designed book of making a multiple of paper crafts. Many different flowers and pots, as well as bird houses and a cuckoo clock. Good step by step shown, and templates in the back. A cd of the templates would have been easier, but a minor issue. Not super elaborate, and would be easy for a beginner. Would recommend this book.

Really fun crafting book with beautifulyet not-too-complicated projects. There are tons of pictures and very detailed steps to make sure your projects turn out the way you want them to. The botanical monogram and flower fairy lights were my favorites. Looking forward to making more projects! Highly recommended for beginner to intermediate paper crafters.

Beautiful photos & creative projects, but this definitely isn't suitable for beginners. I would even reexamine the degree of difficulty labels.

Paper Craft Home is a step by step how-to book to make some lovely paper projects all by hand. Sarah Louise Matthews included twenty-five projects in this book with range from beginner to advance. I found that even the beginner projects were a bit taunting. One needs a steady hand and an aptitude for precision.

For those who have the above needed skills the book begins with overall directions, list of easy to find tools and explanations of specific cuts and folds. It includes the templates for all the projects at the end of the book. Illustrations and photographs are included so that it is easy to understand and follow all directions.

For anyone who does not have access to an electric cutting machine or who prefers to do paper crafting by hand, this would make a perfect addition to their personal library.

This was really interesting to look through, but a bit above my skill level. People who enjoy origami, or making square boxes will definitely enjoy this. The projects look amazing, but need some skill in following directions, and understanding where to fold. Templates are provided at the end of the book which help tremendously, with directions as to the number of coloured sheets required. Many of the completed projects pictured look very real or highly stylized, which gives me hope that I could reproduce the results myself given enough time.

This is a stunning book, absolutely fabulous, the projects, the instructions, the photography and the designs - I love all and everyone of the pages in this book. And I want to make every project - the paper cacti and pot, the floral initial, the swan bag, the flowers and the swiss clock to name a few. Anyone who like to make things with their hands using inexpensive material with absolutely love this book

I like papercrafts, but after having a hell of a time trying to get this book to open, I wasn't entirely over the moon, although I will admit that has more to do with my personal issues with the review copy.

This book is like most other papercraft books, it has a standard assortment of crafts that would be good for the average crafter, beginner to advanced, and they are cute. It's not groundbreaking, but it's good.

This book is beautifully laid out and has some great projects for beginners and intermediates. Many of the projects are better done with a die cut but this is nice for those who do not have access to those types of materials and techniques.

With the use of various paper mediums, card stock, crepe paper, regular 8 1/2" x 11" paper, tape and glue, Sarah Louise Matthews gives directions and templates for some interesting projects. Though some precision may be needed to acquire the same results, the detailed instructions and tips will help the reader transform paper into beautiful and unique creations. Some may be used as gifts or to adorn the wrapping. Others are sculptures to which the purpose can be purely decorative but may also be functional. I would recommend this book to those who want to try their hand at something different.

This book has me craving to dig out all my scrapbook paper, and immediately start crafting the wonderful creations that are in this book. These paper crafts can be used for everything from home decor, to birthday party decorations, to bridal shower decorations. The ideas are modern, and unique. This book would make a lovely gift for any creative, DIY loving friends of yours.

I have received a much appreciated digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a beautifully designed book; from the calming color-scheme, the clear instructions, to the great photos. While I have a die-cut machine at home for paper crafts, I had hoped to attempt some free-hand designs and Paper Craft Home was a great starting point for me. Unfortunately, it turns out my desire to paper craft is more than my talent. The skill level/techniques outlined in the book helped me focus on simpler projects that I could do -- but it takes practice for sure.

Unable to open-did not get to read this. I downloaded this PDF but it does not open and so I was not able to look at the book. Unknown whether this is a good book or not.

The book begins with the basics : types of paper, glue , scissors and other materials needed and then shows the symbols, the techniques and the detailed instructions for making the progressively more difficult projects. The projects include gift boxes, cake toppers, vases, lampshades and even a paper cuckoo clock. The book is inspiring!

There are step-by-step instructions for each of the projects, which are arranged by skill level - beginning with the easiest and moving up through the most difficult. I've seen many paper craft books, but it's the first one really worth buying. The 'Paper Craft Home' consists of many different projects supported by step by step instructions and templates. The projects vary from flower garlands. cake toppings. fairy lights flowers to pencil toppers. Everything in there goes well with scandinavian simplistic design. I was beside myself seeing how many of the projects I actually want to try. Definitely worth buying!
