I asked to receive this book, because I am a big fan of Stacey Lynn. And this book did not disappoint.

Although it is an old story and it could be boring: Girl meets boy at a wedding – was drunk, had a night together, contraception failure , pregnant.

But the main characters were both really lovable – and the unusual plot was – Braxton was immediately all in – never refused to take responsibility. He made sure, Cara stayed healthy, he supported her choices regarding her parents and stealt himself into her heart.

I liked the story very much, could not stop reading until I finished the book at 2 am. It is a really nice lovely read. Sure – it was predictable that they get their “happily ever after” - but let´s be honest – that is what I expect when I read a book collected from the category “romance”.

What happens when your one-night stand becomes so much more?

Wow, what an amazingly sweet and sexy book! Cara and Braxton's journey is full of twists and turns, showing you what happens when people jump to conclusions without knowing everything.

Their chemistry is on fire! Seeing big, bad Braxton being so sweet and caring will definitely make you swoon!

Emotional, heartfelt, sexy and a tad quirky, this book will take hold of your heart immediately! An absolute MUST READ!!! 5 STARS!

Braxton and Cara: Hooking-up after their best friends wedding resulting in a surprise pregnancy. Their journey to trust each other, and overcoming their mistaken impressions of each other, was real and so sweet. Two broken people who seemed like they couldn’t be more different, learning they have much in common. The startling realization that they had fallen in love with each other and could really be hurt by the other is a sobering fact as they prepare for the birth of their child. A beautiful HEA and I loved the epilogue!

This was a sweet, wonderful story of a one night stand turning into a chance at forever. After their best friends wedding, the best man & maid of honour agree to keep the party going. What happens next changes both of their lives. Now they have to get to know each other & figure out how to proceed with their relationship. Throw in a jealous friend & totally inappropriate parents who can’t seem to deal with anyone not on their elite level & you have just the right amount of angst to keep you wanting more. The characters of Cara & Braxton were both strong, with Braxton’s dark & sexy a perfect match to Cara’s light & sweet. I appreciated how the author Stacey Lynn created the character of Braxton with heart & soul & a sense of decency when approached by Cara with their impending life change. This book made me laugh, made me sigh, made me cry & definitely made me cheer for their happiness. Definitely recommend.

Love Braxton and Cara. They may not have had much of long history between them but the love is evident. Cara may have found herself knocked up but it doesn't stop her from being the independent woman that she is. Braxton is the hot tattooed one night stand. He is amazing. I love how he is all in with the pregnancy. They were meant to be even though there are some that might not think so. The love is real and is heart warming. Knocked Up warmed my heart and I absolutely loved every minute of this one.

RC received for review

Cara and Braxton hook up after their bffs (book one which of course I didn't read) get married and then along comes a baby. She has major trust issues, but Braxton is patient and works through them all.

Side note - Cover art people and I guess the author's fault too...Braxton is tatted up from the neck down not all that blank skin shown on the cover.

This felt like more of a fantasy than contemporary fiction. I found the speed of the relationship to be ridiculous, and the heroine's parents were almost cartoon villains in their dislike of their own daughter. I like a good secret baby plot, but this was more plot holes than anything else.

Wonderful! I really enjoyed reading Kara and Braxton and their story to happy. Stacey Lynn is a favored author in my library. I never read something she's done that I didn't like.
Knocked Up is a solid 4½ stars. As a woman who's found herself in Kara's position I know all to well the fear and frustration and even the judgements we place upon ourselves. I don't know anyone who meets someone has a fabulous time and bungles it quiet as well as Kara did.

And Braxton isn't blameless. He had a voice. He just choose to let his past dictate the moment.

Well thought out storyline. Characters, including secondary, that are likeable and I definitely found myself becoming invested them.
The initial lack of communication between Kara and Braxton is... Par for the book world and truly an honest response to their situation.

My only complaint, and it's not truly a..complaint because this I KNEW they could move past, was the final drama. I sort of saw it coming, which was OK because as I started to read and become invested in their lives and relationship I worried what would be thrown at them to move past. But once I saw the drama train headed their way I relaxed and just let it ride and out. Stacey gave and built a foundation for Braxton and Kara that was solid enough to not collapse when it faltered.

Stacey always delivers to her readers and this was no different. Knocked Up was real and pretty honest while still delivering a angsty read that left me waiting for the other shoe to drop for Braxton and Kara.

Fabulous. Since finishing I have re read Knocked Up twice and recommended it to no less than a dozen friends to be on the look our for.

Definitely a sexy book, though bits of the story are predictable. I'd have liked to see more expansion on MadInk's other locations, just because they're mentioned, but only in passing.

Also, the cover art is deceiving, given that Brazton is supposed to have black hair and be covered with tattoos.

Review edited to add: I didn't know that this is the second book in a "series", though it appears they are stand alone books, particularly given that the characters mentioned in the description of the first book didn't have any parts in this book.

Knocked up by Stacey Lynn was a well written enjoyable story! The main characters, Cara and Braxton are surprised with an unexpected pregnancy and developing their new relationship together. The story was easy to read and follow. The only negative I have is that the cover does not demonstrate an correct picture of this couple. I mean he has a lot of ink on him and the cover guy has none. Details need to be used on the cover.
I recommend this story. I received a copy of this story from NetGalley for my honest review.

**I read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**

This story just what you would expect from the title - a man and a woman get together for a one-night stand and the woman ends up pregnant.

Cara Thompson has always been the child in her family that was overlooked and never did right in the eyes of her parents. In order to escape that, she leaves the very comfortable life she led with them to move out on her own and prove she could make it doing what she loves, which is art, versus going to law school. When she finds herself pregnant after sleeping with the best man at her best friends wedding, she has a lot to reevaluate, including whether or not to tell the father.

Braxton Henley did not have the easiest life growing up, but because of the one adult who took him under his wing, he's living his best life. He's got the view he wants from his home and he's got MadInk, the tattoo parlor that he owns and operates. He is in a good place in his life and is not at all expecting the curve ball that comes at him when Cara stops by to talk with him.

Are these two people that seem so different really all that different at all? And, will they be able to get out of their own way and give in to what they are both feeling regardless of the life they created?

When I read the blurb for this book, I thought it sounded like something right up my alley and I was looking forward to reading it. While I liked the book, there were several things that were inconsistent within the story. The biggest miss in my opinion is the cover of the book. The man used on the cover is good looking, but he looks nothing like Braxton. To me, it's important to have someone similar on the cover if you're going with people on the cover. Also, the dog, Lucy, is a huge part of the story and in the beginning she's referred to as one breed and later in the book, she's a completely different one.

The story was good enough, but the inconsistencies really put a damper on my overall thoughts on the book.

I did enjoy this book, and I had read some of the previous reviews and found some of them pretty harsh towards the heroine and the story line. First off, hey one stand happen, and accidental pregnancies also happen. What I tended not to agree on with some others is the character of Cara, I understood why she went back and forth with her reasoning, this girls was abused by her horrid parents, neglected. Then her twin brother whom was always there for her and the only one who truly believed in her and always wanted her to have a better life. So yes this girl grew up rich, but with no love and she always wanted some acceptance. She meets Braxton and he is giving her the acceptance and compliments, she is not used to them so I understand why it took her a little to get used to having someone see all the good in her.. Enjoy!!

Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn is the story of Cara who gets pregnant during a one-night stand at her friend’s best wedding and Braxton, the father to be.

Cara is an artist and estranged from her family. Brandon is a tattoo artist, the complete opposite of her and when she tells him she is pregnant, it doesn’t go very well, as they have a misunderstanding.

Cara is dealing with severe morning sickness and ends up in the hospital. Braxton only wants to take care of her.

The chemistry between the two can be felt across each page and I absolutely loved this story.
Braxton is a kind, inked, big muscle man who only wants to take care of Cara. She struggles with her own insecurities, due to her upbringing, but is a no- nonsense, strong, intelligent woman.

This story can be read as a stand-a-lone and is a must if you’re a fan of Stacey Lynn.

I received an ARC from netgalley for an honest review.

I loved Braxton and Cara. Not only were they awesome characters, but they had big hearts when it comes to those they love. I’m a big sucker for accidental pregnancy and with the title I knew what I was going to get and enjoyed it from start to finish. The author kept the drama very low key which I appreciated. Great secondary characters, lots of passion and humor. I was sad when the story ended because I wanted more. This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. If you want a light read then this book is perfect. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Stacey Lynn's Knocked Up is a book you pick up and don't put down again until you've finished it. Cara and Braxton's story is HOT, but also sweet and loving. I am looking forward to reading more titles by this author.

A one night stand that all it was supposed to be. Be brave, live in the moment and then the one time Cara does something so not like herself. She is left with a white stick with a positive mark. She's Pregnant!

After copping with learning she is going to be a mom, she finally reaches out to the soon to be father Braxton.
Her best friends husband Best friend, also a tattoo artist/shop owner and tatted up. (Cover does not match Braxton) How will he handle the news of being a dad? and what about the woman he has not been able to get out of his head for the last few months.

This book was a great read and It's a new fav of mine.

Braxton and Cara met at their best friend’s wedding and hit it off. Really hit it off. They spent the weekend together in his hotel room. Cara had never had a one night fling and she was totally embarrassed when she quietly left the hotel room without even saying goodbye. Braxton can’t get Cara off his mind, but obviously she was not that into him.
A few months later and Cara finds out she’s pregnant. Her friend Jenna convinces her she needs to tell Braxton. Finally getting her courage, Cara shows up at his business and everything goes downhill from there. She ends up throwing up in his office, faints, and he ends up taking her to the hospital. What a way to make an impression. What Cara wasn’t expecting is for Braxton to be so happy and agreeable to her pregnancy. He just wants her moving in to his penthouse promising that she would have her own bedroom. Cara dropped out of the MBA program to follow her dream, art. Now she works in an art gallery and paints when she has time. However, this pregnancy is taking it’s toll on her. It seems she has morning sickness all day. She came from wealth, but her parents have turned away from her since they found out she’s pregnant.
Braxton should had probably ended up in jail if it hadn’t been for his mentor Irving. He took him under his wing at a very young age and it paid off. How can these two opposites attract and make it last.
Fabulous book!
