I volunteered to read this book for an honest review and really enjoyed it. At times I felt it was a bit long and really drug on and on. Overall a good read.

Oh! My! Goodness! These two were great together! From the first page, I was into their story and couldn’t hardly put it down.

Braxton and Cara had the perfect night together and thought that would be it...surprise! Now they had to deal with figuring out how to parent together as virtual strangers.

I loved how even though Braxton was hurt and even on the verge of angry, he still took care of Cara and handled her with care. I liked how Cara was independent, but also recognized how good it was that Braxton wanted to help. The story was told from both points of view which gave me the opportunity to better understand what was happening from their perspectives.

It wasn’t all about the present with this story either. Delving into their pasts really made the characters that much more real and that much more interesting. I laughed, cried and rejoiced with them as I read. I couldn’t ask for a better story and group of characters!!

I really enjoy this author’s books and this one was no exception.

One thing the cover needs to be changed because the man does not fit Braxton's description. The other things are that I couldn't stand Stella, she had a happy marriage and kids, yet she begrudged Braxton for being with Cara. Yeah, they grew up together, but he is not required to provide for all her emotional needs. And then there's Cara herself, so freaking immature. Whiny and annoying I could have enjoyed the book without all of the extra. I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Loved it. Craved it. Couldn't put it down. Its fun and heartfelt. It has elements of sadness which led up to each characters triumphs in life. It's well written is a smooth read. Once I started it I didn't want to put it down. The steamy scenes are enjoyable and not over the top. I can't wait to read more.

This book should have been right up my alley, but there were too many plot elements thrown in and it just felt too contrived. Especially the last quarter where the relationship hit the wall and all hell broke loose. That said, I liked the characters and I was invested enough to finish. 2.5 stars, rounding up to 3 from me.

I really enjoyed Knocked Up. It was super fun and I loved the characters. Braxton could be a little obnoxious at times, but otherwise I loved it!

Requested and received an ARC from Netgalley

I’m reviewing this on 4/14 and it’s not due out until June so let’s keep our fingers crossed that they fix some of the plot holes prior to actual release.

First...the cover model. The guy is hot and it’s a cute picture but that gut is NOT Braxton. Braxton is described as having black hair, olive skin and is covered neck to knuckles in tattoos...so art department epic failure on that one.

Second....let’s talk about Lucy. I know it’s just a fictional dog, but I love dogs and I know breeds so when you describe her first as a bullmastiff THEN much much later as a pit bull mix I'm going to notice. I love both breeds but make up your mind. Oh and what was her fate? I can guess but it would have been nice to have it confirmed.

Third....I know that Cara and Braxton are hot for each other...I do, I promise! I do NOT need it reiterated over and over agin bu the both of them.

So overall I think the story was cute. I wouldn’t say it covered any new ground in a new way, but I think it would make a pretty good beach read....or if you live in the north where winter has decided to never end...it took up an afternoon of relaxation after shoveling out a driveway. Braxton is your typical alpha bad boy and Cara is a passable heroine. A little too poor little rich girl for me but I would have probably liked her more if there were less plot holes.

So the plot holes I’m going to pick on in no particular order:
1. If Braxton could afford the penthouse why did Stella need to invest in MadInk?
2. There was talk of Braxton owning multiple shops and all the traveling he had to do BEFORE he and Cara hooked up but no mention of either afterwards?
3. What was the point of Anna as conflict in Cara’s work environment the one time when it was hinted that she would cause future trouble but we never heard about her again?
4.Cara had a particular dream but after everything with Braxton we never hear about it again which by far bothered me the most. I don’t think it was right that her goals all fell to the wayside because of Braxton and pregnancy and there was no mention of her dreams again or even if Braxton ever fulfilled his idea to let Luca in on her dream. I’d have liked to see her grow in confidence in her art and ability and go with it....even if it had just been mentioned in the epilogue. I just think a great opportunity was missed when you could show a woman growing into her possibility instead of leaving her hanging onto the arm of a strong man...I want a heroine that can also be the rock when necessary.

I really liked this story. Even though there was the familiar story where the heroine finds herself pregnant, the path to happiness is rocky. I really liked the characters and their reasons for being distrustful make sense.

I have seriously sworn off more children, but Braxton makes me willing to go through it just one more time!

I loved this book - and did I say anything about Braxton? Cara finds out that she is "knocked up" by her one night of recklessness at her friend's wedding with the best man. Now the best man was tatted and gorgeous so she threw all caution to the wind but come on who wouldn't? Little did Cara know that one night would come back to haunt her in the form of a digital readout saying PREGNANT.

Cara goes to his tattoo shop to tell him and Braxton is definitely not expecting this. While his response to the declaration leaves a lot to be desired, Braxton steps up to the plate and fully takes on the responsibility. Now when he first sweeps her off her feet it's to take her to the hospital, but that is just the beginning.

Throughout the story, Braxton and Cara have their highs and lows. We find out that they are both suffering from various kinds of loss and these two people are definitely meant to be. The journey together is romantic and definitely...steamy, sexy and downright hot! Now Braxton does make his mistakes but don't worry, he more than makes up for it in the end.

This was my first book by this author but definitely won't be my last!

This was a very enjoyable version of the accidental baby plot. You can tell that by the title. Prior to the start of the book Cara and Braxton hooked up at their friends’ wedding. Now, she’s pregnant and has to tell Braxton about it. She’s also suffering really bad morning/all-day sickness, much like Kate Middleton. She’s going to be feeling nauseated for much of the novel.

Braxton is the dream book, accidental baby-daddy. He is already deeply attracted to Cara and determined to take good care of her throughout the pregnancy and build a family together with her and the baby. He had a terrible childhood until he was saved by a kind-hearted neighbor who then left him the money with which Braxton started his tattoo parlor business and bought a penthouse condominium. However, he has his own insecurities about his background in contrast to the wealthy family Cara comes from..

Cara has her own personal problems and insecurities. Her parents are cold-hearted wretches and it’s taken a lot for her to strike out on her own. She has to come to grips with her own insecurities before she and Braxton can find a well-deserved HEA.

I’ve always enjoyed the accidental-baby romances. There is something about a couple struggling to find romance while coming to realize what it means to be parents. This is a fine example of the genre.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

4.5 stars

I loved, loved Braxton and Cara; they were both so strong especially since they both had difficult childhoods and heartbreaking loss. As you can see from the blurb, a pregnancy resulted after a one night after their friends’ wedding. This is an interesting situation that they find themselves in especially since they don’t really know each other. Braxton is all ready to take of Cara and the baby, but Cara is trying to prove to herself that she capable of handling things on her own. It’s definitely not smooth sailing at the start and they have majorly annoying obstacles to overcome from friends and family.

I enjoyed the book immensely even though at times I wanted to shake them and slap Stella who was acting like a big old brat. Cara always had to do things the hard way but in the end Braxton knew how to handle her.

You don’t have to read the Fake Wife to enjoy this book since the characters are not mentioned in the previous book. However, I do recommend reading it since it was also a great book.

This is a book that in other hands could have been a hot mess. So many overdone romance plot devices- from mean parents to the meddling, jealous female character could have made for constant eye-rolling. Lynn manages to take them all and create a solid story that never reinvents the wheel but still manages to keep the reader interested and engaged. There are no major surprises in this book but there are characters who have a demonstrable connection and the kind of hero I read romances for.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Maid of Honor Cara and Best Man Braxton share a hot and steamy hook up at their friend’s wedding. Forward six weeks later and Cara is staring at a positive pregnancy test. What follows is their journey getting to know one another amid the trials of pregnancy and becoming first time parents.

this is my first book by Stacey Lynn even though i liked the story i will probably won't be reading anything else by (her writing style just isn't for me)

Like i said i liked the story you had angst you had an alpha male and you had a female mc who actually sort of had a backbone at times.

Even though the whole one-night-stand/ended up pregnant thing been done before it was still somewhat a unique story

This, I believe, is the first book I’ve read by Stacey Lynn and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed Cara and Braxton’s story. While it seemed to hit on several cliche issues, it didn’t feel that way. I would certainly recommend this book to a friend.

Let's start with the obvious. The hero, Braxton Henley, is described as having full sleeve tattoos and most of his chest and back are also covered in tattoos. So, for the amount of skin being shown by the cover model there should at least be some photo-shopped ink. Why would you not want that?

Anyway, cover aside, this was a pretty standard accidental pregnancy romance, complete with a typical can't take a compliment heroine who has extreme parent issues (poor little rich girl) and a "bad-boy" because he grew up on the wrong side of town and has tattoos but somehow managed to pull himself up to the top.

I've read this story so many times and it has been done better than here. I did finish reading it, and it had cute moments, but the sexy-times were a bit tainted for me by the sheer amount of vomit discussed. Although, bully for the author for discussing the reality of pregnancy, so there is that.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. Cara is a law school drop out. She has turned her back on her uber-successful, but demanding family in order to forge her own path as an artist. Braxton grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. He has made his own way in the world with the help of close friends and a supportive mentor. With their support, he has created a chain of very successful tatoo parlors. Cara and Braxton's worlds collide when they are both in a friend's wedding. Even though Cara is not one to have a one night stand, she had one with Braxton. A few weeks later (and certainly not a spoiler if you read the title) she is pregnant. What do you do when the baby comes first? That is what the rest of the story is about. I really liked the characters even though things went unrealistically fast in their relationship. I like Stacey Lynn's writing style and I think this will be a perfect beach read this summer.

This book is phenomenal! I pulled an all-nighter because I couldn’t put it down.

Cara is a girl from a well-off family trying to do it on her own without her parents judgement.

Braxton is a tattoo shop owner who has made a name for himself after growing up on the wrong side of the tracks.

As the name alludes to they end up making a baby and they have to figure out how to make it all work when they don’t know each other.

I will be definitely be checking out the rest of the books by Stacey Lynn!

Braxton comes off as an asshole in the beginning. His character could only get better from there. Cara is too much of a push over. She does work in it throughout the book though.
Braxton's a tattoo artist and has several himself. However the man on the cover of this book has none. I hate when that happens.
