Knock UP
By: Stacey Lynn

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

What happens when a wedding hookup has forever consequences. What if what you think you know isn’t even close to the truth. Can two people really fall in love in reverse order and make it forever? Stacey Lynn will take you on the most incredible love story page after steamy page.
Well let me start by saying I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb:Braxton: I should probably be dead or in jail right now. Instead, thanks to some tough love, I worked my ass off and now I own a string of tattoo parlors throughout the Pacific Northwest. And yet the one thing I’ve always wanted—a family—still seems out of reach. When my best friend gets married, I’m just hoping to blow off some steam with the super-hot maid of honor. But after Cara Thompson tracks me down to tell me she’s pregnant, she’s more surprised than I am when I tell her I’m all in.

Cara: For the first time in my life, I’m living for myself—not for my parents and their ridiculous expectations. I gave up on my MBA, dropped out of the Ivy League, and moved to Portland to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. And what’s the first thing I do? Get knocked up. For a tatted-up sex god, Braxton Henley seems way too eager to “be there for me.” Is this guy serious? Maybe. He sure is patient. Because he won’t back down until I admit what I know in my heart: that our one night stand might’ve led me to the one.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

"A one-night stand at my best friend's wedding isn't only cliché, it's so far outside my zone of normal operating behavior I wasn't the least bit prepared.”

One night of wild abandon with the best man at her best friend Jenna’s wedding leaves Cara with a gift she never expected. “Two blue lines. Two pink lines. One pink plus sign.” Yep, she’s definitely pregnant. Knocked up at twenty-four, with denial and morning sickness quickly becoming her new constant and she has yet to tell the father.

Babby daddy, Braxton (Brax), only recently moved back to Portland and owns the tattoo parlor MadInk. Glorious muscled gladiator body covered with colorful ink and a rugged demeanor on the surface but with the kindest heart hidden underneath. Who couldn’t love a tattooed hottie who fosters animals? When Cara comes into MadInk to break the news, Brax is all in – he’s been dreaming of Cara ever since he woke up alone months ago at his best friend, Dan’s wedding, and wants nothing more than to make a family with Cara.

"I'm falling in love with her and it's the easiest thing I've ever done in my entire life."

Knocked Up is a fun, cute, easy, surprise baby contemporary romance. I would have liked some more story development in some areas, but overall Knocked Up is a low-angst, sweet-heat read with some fun characters and an adorable rescue pup named Lucy. And while the cover is perfect for a rom-com type book (it's what caught my attention) it doesn't at all match Cara and Brax - at least get some photoshopped tatts on him!

The accidental pregnancy trope is one of my favorites, so naturally I was drawn to Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn. This is a terrific story, with well-defined characters, plenty of steam, and a fast-paced plot. I could not get enough of this engaging romance.

After the wedding of their respective best friends, Cara and Braxton share an incredible night of passion. Six weeks later Cara finds out she is pregnant, and is quite nervous about telling Braxton about it. They are world's a part in upbringing, appearance, and hopes for the future, but their feelings for each other are completely in sync. Braxton is tattoos and a penthouse, while Cara is a recently independent woman trying to make a name for herself in the art world. This pregnancy is only one of the many good things that solidify their love for each other.

I truly enjoyed this slightly emotional and entertaining read. To begin with, Ms. Lynn opens the story with a very exciting chapter, which sets the tone to this mostly upbeat romance. Cara and Braxton are really good together, and the way they care about each other really pulled at my heartstrings. Their sexy times were hot, both in and out of the bedroom. The secondary characters, including Braxton's dog, were interesting all on their own, and their personalities complimented the present happenings. Cara's parents are wealthy snobs that bring a whole new meaning to family. This is the second book from the author's Crazy Love series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. However, the first book, Fake Wife, is excellent and I recommend it highly.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn is the second book in her Crazy Love series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. The death of Cara Thompson’s twin brother had made her realize that she needs to live life on her own terms and if that means being an artist rather than the lawyer her parents expect her be then that is what she should do. Braxton Henley a boy from the wrong side of the tracks is now a successful business owner of MadInks Tattoos and when these two meet as members of their best friends wedding party a whole lot of steam happens. Going from strangers to parents in the blink of an eye is not with out its struggles but they do have the intense physical attraction that brought them together in the first place going for them and what started out as a one night stand just might be forever. Super Steamy. Publishing Date June 12, 2018

This was sadly a blah story.. it was missing the spark.. the hero didn't meet the description and there were a lot of missing pieces!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Random House/Loveswept for the ARC.I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I enjoyed this book. The characters are likeable and quirky. You have to feel for Cara her parents are terrible!! Accidentally pregnant with good friends. I think most romance readers would enjoy this book. I rated it a 4.

This was a great book! I haven't read any by Stacey Lynn before so I am so happy to find her. The characters are very real and I see my friends saying some of the things said during the story. I am going to read the 1st book in the Crazy Love series but this story was not impacted by the fact that I haven't read the 1st book yet.

Cara and Braxton were so different but so good together. Braxton owns a tattoo shop and has everything but he longs for a family. Cara is tired of doing what her parents want and is finding out who she wants to be in life. The two have a one night stand and Cara ends up pregnant. I loved Braxton, where are the men like him? A funny, wonderful read. I will be looking into more books by this author.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn was a fun read with great characters and an easy story to get lost in. Braxton turned his life around and is now a successful businessman running tattoo parlors. But he is ready for more. But when he gave in and had some fun at his best-friend’s wedding with the maid-of-honor, he did not expect the consequences. But he is ready to be all in.

Cara is doing what she wants and ready to live her life her way. The last thing she ever expected was to end up pregnant after one night at a wedding. But Braxton keeps insisting he is all in and ready to step up. Is he for real?

Knocked Up was such a fun and light read. I loved the chemistry and banter between Braxton and Cara. They did not always agree but wanted to do the right thing.

Happy reading!

If you are looking for a light read to lose yourself in for a few hours then this is a great choice. I haven't read anything by this author before but I enjoyed her writing style the story flowed really well and I loved getting to know Braxton and Cara.

After spending the night together at a mutual friends wedding Braxton and Cara go their separate ways but a few weeks later Cara get more than she bargained for when she discovers she's pregnant. She has no idea how Braxton will react to her news but maybe going their separate ways in the first place wasn't something either of them really wanted.

Overall a great read for me and I'll definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

From beginning to end, I was completely sucked into Braxton and Cara's story!

After meeting at their best friends' wedding, one wild night leads to some pretty big consequences for these two. Oops-baby books can be hit or miss for me but I absolutely loved this book. Watching Braxton and Cara try to navigate becoming parents while also getting to know each other was both hilarious and sometimes overwhelming. They come from completely different backgrounds and these differences made their budding relationship a minefield at times but it was so entertaining watching them grow.

This book can be read completely separate from Fake Wife since there wasn't any overlap in the stories that I noticed but Fake Wife is just as fantastic as Knocked Up. I am really looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series!!

Fun and quick read. Braxton was a great hero with a heart of gold beneath a rough exterior. Loved it!

I really enjoyed Fake Wife earlier this year, so I was happy to try this one. I do like this author’s voice, although Knocked Up, in my opinion, is not as good as the first book. In this one we have Braxton and Cara, who didn’t know one another, and hooked up for a one night stand at a wedding. Six weeks later, Cara finds out she is pregnant. She immediately tracks down Braxton (thank goodness, I hate it when heroines keep the pregnancy a secret from the father) and tells him the news. Braxton is of course shocked.

Braxton is a big, muscled, heavily tattooed (umm….cover model is not representing Braxton well here) guy who owns a tattoo parlor. Growing up very poor with drug-addicted parents, he eventually met a man who became a father-figure to him, and who also left him millions in his will. In present day, Braxton lives in a luxurious pent-house, but doesn’t look the part. It angers him when people judge him as a “thug” based on his appearance.

Cara comes from wealth, but a family who finds her art passion to be too low-class. She moved out on her own, and lives in a run-down apartment, as that is all she can afford. But she is proud to be independent of a family that doesn’t want to be part of her life. When she tells Braxton she is pregnant, he immediately goes into over-protective mode. He wants her to move in with him – she stubbornly refuses, to keep some of her pride. This goes on and on until eventually she moves in. She suffers from extreme morning sickness and finds herself too weak to thrive on her own.

Although Braxton is super alpha – and he wants to basically run Cara’s life for her – I still liked him. His over-protective stuff did get a bit old, and at times I think he thought he knew better in all areas. Their relationship worked for me and I like that they communicated so well, besides that darn, final chapter, predictable fight that happens in 99% of the romance books I read. Their relationship progressed pretty well but the fight at the end was pretty silly.

Cara’s parents are over-done in the villain department. They felt like caricatures and not real people. We have the predictable loss or bad parents, wealthy hero, lots of tattoos, a hero swooping in to save the heroine etc.. Things could have been fleshed out more in the story, as this was a pretty quick read but I do like this author’s voice.

Grade: B-

If you are gonna have a baby just make sure you do it with the right partner. If it is an oops at least make sure the man or woman you choose is the one you can not stop thinking about and compare the rest to them. It's pretty good that Braxton can't stop thinking about Cara because when she comes with the news of a baby on the way, he doesn't think twice about wanting her with him and not missing a thing. Even when she is determined to be independent and do things on her own. She has been treated like she is an inconvenience and a burden and that is exactly what she expects of Braxton. After all, now she sees him taking care of her as an obligation. He will show her how much he feels for her, how much he cares about her and how good he can be to her. Even when he has to jump from restaurant to restaurant for cravings. In this story both characters come from different worlds and some have the misconception that they are not a good fit together but they are wrong. Looks don't determine how the character, personality and soul develops. He is sweet to her and attentive. Their interactions are HOT and strong at the same time because they build a trust and a bond that would be hard for others to find. All because they take a deeper look into each other.

Knocked Up is a perfect read!

Cara Thompson is pregnant after a one-night stand with best man after her best friend’s wedding. Cara knows that her very disapproving parents will be upset especially after she had dropped out of law school to make her own way and be an artist. She decides to let tattooist Braxton Henley know about he was going to be a father and that she was keeping the baby. Braxton decided to move Cara into his apartment because Cara had very bad morning sickness and that the smells outside her apartment were making it worse.

Cara and Braxton both had crappy upbringings with Cara having distant parents but she decides after the death of her brother to break free. Braxton’s upbringing was worse but when a guy took an interest in him and other kids and made them into someone that he would be proud of.

Knocked Up by Stacy Lynn is a book every romance reader should read because it’s that good! Cara and Braxton are a couple that slowly falls in love after she gets pregnant and not the traditional marriage first and baby later but Stacy Lynn makes the reader want Cara and Braxton be together and Knocked is one of the best stories I’ve read lately.

2.5-2.75 stars. This book was not really my cup of tea. This is Braxton and Cara's story. Braxton, a rich tattoo artist and business owner, meets Cara, a poor artist, when their best friends get married. At the wedding, they find they really like each other and have a connection, so they spend a hot night together. But Cara pulls a runner, because she is not very experienced, embarrassed and unsure how to act the morning after. Braxton is mad. He wanted more from Cara, but thinks she ended up being just a stuck up rich girl who went slumming. When she finds out a few weeks later that she is pregnant, she goes to Braxton and he treats her very poorly. He does eventually decide to step up to the plate, but continues to treat her poorly. They do eventually begin a relationship and fall for each other, but there is a lot of drama and angst along the way.

I have read and really enjoyed this author's Rough Riders series, but I keep trying other books by her and none are as good. I'm starting to believe those books were flukes. Braxton was an ass most of the time, with a bad temper and judgemental attitude. I liked Cara and felt really bad for the way he treated her. He never truly apologizes believably for his behavior. He is so cocky and sure that she will forgive him for anything. He is talked up as being such a great guy, but I never saw it and did not like his character at all. The whole book was entirely too over-dramatic and angsty. There is a lot of OW drama too. I was not at all confident in their HEA. Braxton kept constantly hurting Cara and her forgiving him, over and over, leading me to believe they would continue in that pattern throughout their relationship.

Overall, I didn't enjoy this book very much. I really like the surprise baby trope, but Braxton's character pretty much ruined the book for me. I'm not sure if I will read more from this author in the future.

This book about a one night stand ending in a pregnancy is a very familiar trope of contemporary romance. I knew that was the subject matter but have enjoyed some of Stacey Lynn’s other books so decided to give this a try. I did enjoy her protagonists and they were more than two dimensional characters to me, but overall, it was the same story, with no unusual twists or turns. Felt like I have read this storyline a bit too often.

Knocked Up

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved this book!!! Braxton and Cara’s story was so amazing. They both had things they were trying to over come. I loved how independent and strong Cara is and how she would love the support of Braxton but at the same time is ready to take on everything by herself. And Braxton’s total acceptance and joy over starting a family is sweet.

Cara can’t believe her one night stand resulted in her being pregnant. She never thought this would happen to her but now she needs to tell the father. She doesn’t expect anything from him but thinks he deserves to know. It doesn’t hurt that She hasn’t forgotten about him from that night, or that she could see something more happening.

Braxton’s world has just been altered with the announcement that Cara is pregnant. But there is one thing he knows, he wants the child and he might even want Cara. But convincing her to give them a chance is going to be difficult. She has her independence and wants to try and be on her own before she gives into Braxton.

As the work on their relationship the one thing they can’t ignore is the attraction that’s between them. But when they decide to act on it will they be able to give it their all and let go of their insecurities?

Absolutely loved this book. I loved the banter between the two. While there were moments I would have loved to whack both upside the head, I can see why they were acting the way they did throughout. There was witty banter and great passion. Overall, a fun and enjoyable read!

LOVED this book! I found it so refreshing to read a book where the hero isn't a commitmentphobe and is actually craving a permanent relationship and family. While the relationship between Braxton and Cara may not have had a traditional beginning I thought they worked wonderfully together and that they could make it if they gave it a chance. I also really liked how Braxton didn't really fit the first impression everyone has of him. He may look like a tatted up bad boy but his heart is big and he loves hard. I couldn't help but cheer for Braxton and Cara to find a way to make things work.

I highly recommend this book to everyone.
