The hero in this story has a crush on his patient, who's married with kids. To get his mind off her, he goes for vacation. There he meets the heroine, who looks quite like his crush. And then they get along. The story concentrates more on looks first, like the hero notices the heroine because she's attractive. Then its eventually true love.

An unexpected romance. Jordan is a successful doctor and lusts after one of his patients, Tessa, who is happily married to Ian. He knows he can never have her but finds that his usual one-night stands don’t carry the release he is used to. His friends convince him to take a vacation and he ends up in Maui. As he is scouting the women on the beach, a vision emerges from the waves and steal’s his breath. Aubrey is trying to figure out what to do with her life as she works in Maui planning tours for guests at a hotel. When Jordan approaches her, well, she isn’t impressed with his cheesy lines but persistence is key. Jordan and Aubrey have a natural chemistry and for Jordan, he decides to take it slow with her after her quick wit keeps him on his toes making him realize he’s founds something special. I love the slow build of their romance and the unknown when he returns to California. There are several surprises along the way which pushes their relationship to the brink.

I was intrigued by the blurb for this book and decided to check it out even though I hadn't read any of the author's previous books.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy it as I hoped I would. I considered not finishing it a number of times but wanted to give the book a fair shot.

I found the plot a bit repetitive in a number of spots and the writing to be a bit stilted at times, especially in the dialogue. Additionally, I could not connect with any of the characters and disliked some of them a bit. There is also a bit of a mystery aspect to the story, but that also fell a bit flat for me.

Jordan is a doctor and a real player, a different girl every night of the week and no plans to settle down...... but is that because the woman of his dreams is already married and a patient! Taking a holiday to Hawaii to get away from his obsession he is astounded to find a woman on the beach that could be her twin.... what is going on!

A good lighthearted read perfect for the summer..... and Hawaii is definitely somewhere on my list

Unfortunately this book was a DNF for me. I just couldn't get past the fact that he went on vacation to get away from his feelings for a married woman, met someone that looked just like her ... and thought it was OK to hit on her but keep it to himself. There had to be a way for him to address it. Instead it seemed creepy to me and did nothing to make him appealing as a character.

Truly a wonderfully, sexy romance that provided a perfect escape. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

It was a good short book. A standalone with a hea ending. No cliffhanger. It was a little slow for my taste.

Sadly I couldn't get into the book. I read the first half and put it down, waiting a week to pick it up again, which I never ever do. I didn't particularly like Jordan or his single friends. Aubrey and Jordan's relationship just didn't pull me in. It seemed like the author gave the secondary couple Ian and Tessa more substance.
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley.

Dr Jordan Reese, aka Dr Dreamboat, is a serious playboy. Almost 40 and yet not willing to commit to a relationship, he flits from one woman to another. Yet there is always the one forbidden fruit - his patient. Tessa Gregson, happily married and a mother of two. To get away from all this he takes a trip to Hawaii where he meets Aubrey and falls head over heels for her. A confirmed bachelor turning into devoted boyfriend story. The twist in the plot is that Aubrey looks like Tessa twin. Questions are raised, Tessa and Aubrey are shocked to discover each other. Eventually, everything is settled once answers are found and misunderstandings are cleared.

This was a very feel-good book, and very quick read. Definitely looking forward to the next book of this series.

Jordan and Aubrey meet in Hawaii while he was on vacation. He needed to get away from a crush he was harboring on someone who was totally OFF LIMITS. I actually liked these two together. You could actually see them falling in love with each other. But, its never that easy right???? There are surprises, broken hearts, sweetness, redemption. I liked this story, Its different, covered all the bases. Would definitely recommend.

I received this book in exhange for my honest opinion.

Jordan Reeves has fully embraced the carefree, uncomplicated bachelor life, figuring that the poor example he’d been provided by his parents of so-called marital bliss was reason enough to remain single. He’s more than content to date one woman after another and never even consider settling down, especially since the only female who’s ever seriously caught his attention belongs to another man. When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book in one day.Janet is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of her books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

This book is a fun and spicy romance. Jordan and Aubrey were lovable main characters, and I enjoyed reading their story. I didn't really care for Jordan's two friends, Finn & Max, which is weird to me since they are the subjects of the next 2 books in this series. I would have thought they would have had more redeeming qualities if we are supposed to care enough about them to read upcoming books about them! Jordan was by far the best guy in their group! Part of this story is set in Hawaii and even though I've never been there, I could picture the pretty beach views perfectly. I like books with beach settings!

Dr. Jordan Reeves escapes to Hawaii after not being able to get Tessa, a patient of his off his mind. There he meets Aubrey a Tessa look alike. This book is very descriptive and reminded me of 50 Shades in a way. This was not my favorite, but if you liked 50 Shades, I highly recommend the novel..

I haven’t read any of this author’s other books, but it was clear from this novel that she still hasn’t left behind the characters from her series, Splendor, about a woman with a troubled past and the alpha hotel billionaire who falls for her. However, the present novel isn’t supposed to be about that couple, but about Dr. Jordan Reeves, a sexy, wealthy OB/GYN who is a total player. The novel starts with his delivering the second baby for the Splendor couple. He has a total crush on Tessa, but knows that all she can see is her husband. So he decides to take a two-week solo vacation in Maui. As one does.

There he sees a woman, Aubrey, who looks exactly like Tessa. So he picks her up and totally falls for her. They have sex, a lot of sex. And it’s great, because guess what - OB/GYNs make great lovers. They know the anatomy and can deliver. I hope this revelation won’t be going through my mind the next visit I take to the doctor.

Everything is hunky dory with Jordan and Aubrey until she meets Tessa and hears that Jordan used to have a crush on her. Then she and Tessa team up to figure out if they’re related. This is maybe two-thirds or so through the book. Then suddenly the book is no longer about all the sex Jordan and Aubrey are having or how deeply he’s fallen for her or all the things he wants to buy for her. It becomes a novel about Tessa and all that she suffered as a kid and what a domineering, but great guy Ian is. It’s as if the author just can’t let go of her previous series and finds those characters a lot more interesting than the hero and heroine of the present book. And they are more interesting. And that’s not a good sign for this book.
