Great storyline with good strong characters. Very well written. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Another woman looking at her life just befor fifty. Read about 50% to give the book a real try. No note needed to self that I kept waiting for something. Anything. Maybe since a man wrote the book he does know better. Having been 49 and 50, no one thinks so much about turning 50. If you are thinking that hard, you never had a life of your own. Can’t recommend.

I wish I could say I liked this book, but no. I couldn't feel anything for the characters. I have lots of books in TBR pile. Too many to spend time finishing this book. Thanks netgalley for the opportunity to give it a try, my review is my honest opinion.

When I read the summary for the book I was kind of excited about it. Although the book doesn't particularly hit my age demographic I thought in some ways I could connect. Before I meet my current boyfriend I was with a serial cheater. This book was a bit difficult to go through. It was a real slow start. I tried to get into the characters mindset especially as I had been in her shoes in some aspects. It was a little difficult honestly. She was very negative. Although her "self notes" were cute. She seemed very self destructive. Rather than she was trying to build herself up. She didn't seem to have many supportive people around her. Her relationship with her father was the only supportive relationship and she lost it. Her focuses were not seeming to be in the right place. She did marry a real a**hole. That is one thing I can say for sure. Personally for this book I had to go to another book so I did not get behind on my reviews. It is not because this book is unreadable. It is because this book is very slow moving. I don't know if it is the age demographic or just the pace of this book. Maybe it is because this character has a really poor support system around her a very little love for herself but I found it, it relate-able in the fact of the cheating lovers (which were in the past) and that was about the extent. Yes, I have family I have to take care of but. I couldn't finish this book maybe at another point in life I will give it another shot but right now... I just don't think it is going to happen. If you find that the summary jumps out at you please give it a shot. Maybe it is for you, unfortunately it is not for me at this time.

Note To Self by Andrew Milner is a story about almost 50 year old Emily who is left by her husband for a younger woman, whose father died and mother is slowly loosing it. Not helping matters are her two best friends who are dealing with their own issues. Then Emily meets a man of her dreams.
I found it slightly hard to follow the story and sometimes I found the characters too typical.
It had few very funny moments. It is a light and interesting read.

Just couldn't get into this one and have given up at around the 30% mark. Don't usually give up on books but it wasn't holding my attention. Emily seemed to get distracted far too easily and too often when talking about something and it was exhausting trying to keep up. Not for me I'm afraid. Shame as the description sounded good.

I never got into this book, despite being in a similar position. It felt like it was written by someone who didn’t understand what the protagonist was really going through.

I honestly couldn't finish this one. It was so negative and there were no redeeming qualities in the characters I'd met so far.

Wow! Not one character had any redeeming qualities. Each female was either bitchy, ditzy, or a gold-digger. Everyone was manipulative and the main character was unbelievably self-centered. I honestly cannot say why I finished reading it.

This wasn’t a bad book and some bits I did find amusing. As I’m a woman of a similar age I thought I would relate to the main character but throughout the whole book it really felt that it was a mans view of how a nearly a 50 year old felt. A bit male fantasy especially bit in restaurant. I did finish the book, it was a light read.
