A great quick read about a wolf trained as a secret K9 operative. It was fast paced and engaging - what animal lover hasn't daydreamed about befriending and becoming besties with the local wild savage creatures. Ideal for younger audiences who have an interest in spy warfare.

This was so poorly written that I couldn't finish it. The plot was intriguing but it felt like it had never been proofread, not even by the author. There were a lot of grammar and spelling issues, and none of the characters were fleshed out or well explained. Also, the constant repetition of Lobos' commands was unnecessary and clunky, and felt like a way to pad the word count.

I found this book had a great storyline with terrific characters, one is drawn into the story on the very first page. Many times I found the book so interesting I could not put it down until it was finished.

I look forward to reading more of this author’s books.

This is something I’m sure has been done or at least tried before with everything from wolves to marine creatures makes for a better film than it does novel.

“Wolf Spy” revolves around a man and the wolf he’s trained since it was a puppy as they set off on a secret government mission to retrieve a microchip lost in the Siberian terrain.

This is such a short book and the idea of it again is good because it’s something we know has been utilized to some extent in the real world but there were just so many scenes of commands that it made it seem like a start/stop format of dialogue for me and I didn’t really care for that which makes me think it would be an interesting subject to base a visual media form around but for a book it’s too choppy in sections.

This really wasn’t my kind of thing which is a shame but what can you do?

A very interesting read this was.. A dog handler from the marines, who also happends to train a wolf, gets called up for a special mission.. We follow Lobos and his handler on this mission, avoiding russian soldiers, civilian hunters and so on. I enjoyed the book as a short story, I wouldn't have liked it if it was any longer..

Okay my second review is higher due to the fact that I was predisposed to think of this as an adult thriller/mystery, a cold war type adventure so I was disappointed, but now I realize I was confused. THIS IS A YA NOVEL.

With that brain fart unraveled I would recommend this to my grandchildren and I know they would be thrilled. My apologies to all.
