"Fling Club" by Tara Brown is a fun and entertaining romantic comedy that delivers plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments. Brown's witty writing and relatable characters make for an enjoyable and light-hearted read. With its mix of humor, romance, and friendship, "Fling Club" is the perfect pick-me-up for anyone in need of a feel-good story.

This book was not for me. I felt the writing was rushed, the plot was lacking and the romance was ... too quick? I was entertained in some spots but not enough to warrant a recommendation.

a solid read — has an endgame in sight and doesn’t stray from bringing home the main point of revenge and the unexpected issues that arise from seeking revenge. but this was also super dramatic and predictable at times and I just didn’t feel like I was attached to the characters.

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

This was super cute and a lot of fun! It was a quick read and i enjoyed the book a lot! I highly recommend this!

Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I have lost interest in this particular title, and consequently, I have decided against finishing it. Forcing myself to finish a book I am disinterested in (solely for the sake of finishing it) can only negatively impact the entirety of my reading experience, which, in turn, could result in me writing an unfairly negative review. That is a circumstance I hope to avoid. With that said, I believe that the best course of action is for me to simply not read it and to refrain from publicly posting any feedback regarding this book.

This is an easy read, ideal for lazy pool side escapism. It was far fetched and totally unbelievable at times but I enjoyed it. It showed how the other half lives. It was full of emotion, hate, spike, lust- it won't win any awards but I enjoyed it for the most part. I give it 3 stars!!

The only thing I hate is too much drama and New Adult romances tend to have a lot of overcomplicated drama. I felt this one was just a little bit on that side too but overall I liked the book, the characters, the story arc and the revenge behind everything.

I enjoyed this well enough, but it felt immature and the heroine really jumped to a lot of conclusions in a very dramatic way.

After a very prolonged and unwanted break from reading, I am back in the saddle and reaching for a random book that has been cluttering my electronic TBR list for some time. I didn't waste much time on reading the description and went strictly for the fact that it was on a New Adult list that I frequented. I was anxious to dive into the world of damaged college students just trying to find their reason for existing and also maybe a soulmate along the way.

Cherry was the stereotypical society girl. She attends the most prestigious school, has the wealth of many generations of blue bloods, and spends her summers in the Hamptons as is customary. She knows no other life and has long since accepted her life at face value. All that changes when she walks in on her boyfriend giving it to the Queen Bee of her elitist group.

From that moment Cherry is out for revenge. She wants to bring down her sovereign leader and show her the suffering she has put any number of her minions through, including Cherry. With the help of her brother and sister, a plot of revenge and retribution is concocted. But she would need a leading man to help in her pursuit.

Enter Ashley, an MIT robotics nerd in need of some serious cash fast. With the offer of little-to-no work involved, a summer in the Hamptons and a huge payday at the end, who would turn it down? But neither Ashley nor Cherry were expecting the sparks between them to fly as thoroughly as they did. But what will become more important to them: money/revenge or love?

First let me start by saying that the book was not the worst I had ever read. The plot seemed a bit underdeveloped and I kind of felt like I was listening to someone tell me a second hand story that they had heard from someone else, who had passed it down from their cousin's mother's hairdresser's son. Something seemed just a bit scattered. Why not simply have Cherry and Ashley flaunt their romance? From the character development of Cait (the evil Queen Bee) this would have bothered her and pushed her to be reckless as much as their complicated ploy. The scheme just seemed a very round-about way of getting what they wanted. Add to that the fact that the scheme they they carefully came up with ended up not even to be utilized. I know... "wait, what?"

It also seems like there are ZERO really likable characters. Cherry was a depressive twit who I was so tired of seeing bash herself. Ashley was a snob who hated rich people with a passion for simply existing (they never outright wronged him). Cherry's brother and sister treated Cherry like an idiot and their equally blunt approach to Cherry was cringy. It was like people beating on a puppy. Hard to watch and gave me serious bully vibes from the PROTAGONISTS.

Normally I at least offer a tidbit of something that I found redeemable about the story but after sitting here for 10 minutes contemplating. I can't really find anything I can truly mention. Fling Club was just a hodge-bodge of 'huh?' with a healthy dose of 'what?' and a sprig of 'just... no.'

Tara Brown is a New-to-me author that I really enjoyed reading. Fling Club was a cute romance read that had my complete attention and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

This book is so flipping adorable.

I loved the description back when I read it. and this one didn't disappoint in the least.

It was cute and funny. And had so much fun scheming going down in it.

But then these adorable little undertones where the romance was blooming.

The characters were fun and flirty. And smart as whips. And just made for a great read that I didn't want to put down.

If you enjoy drama on the level of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars, minus all the death, then this story is a good one for you. Personally, I could not connect to, or even really like, most of the characters. Writing style was OK, but the plot was very predictable.

I really enjoyed this book. I love books that give a distorted glimpse into the lives of the rich and have a Gossip Girl vibe. I enjoyed seeing the dynamic between Cherry and Ashley as he technically works for her and how their relationship changed.

The story was entertaining and made me laugh. The 'Fling Club' did at times seem rather ridiculous. I was glad Cherry was rolling her eyes at the 'Fling Club's' meetings because I certainly was!

To begin with, I thought I would be reading a light-hearted revenge plot turned romance novel. However, as the plot developed the book began to touch on deeper issues. I liked that the book was more than a fluffy romance although the romance was certainly enjoyable!

I did feel that the book went on for quite a while. There were one too many problems that cropped up. I would have been happy for it to end after the revenge with Cherry and Ashley in London.

The Fling Club was an enjoyable read and I would recommend.

I love Tara Brown! I haven't read many of her rom-com books. This one was well written and had interesting characters and storyline. A fun beach read!

I couldn't get into this book enough to enjoy it, I just didn't connect to the main character, and the different worlds trope was not as well done as I had hoped it would be.

Fling Club is an interesting read about the lifestyles of the children of the rich. The story reminded me of the movie She’s All That with Freddy Prinze Jr. Rachael Leigh Cook. Of course, how the story and the movie develop are different, but the “let’s find someone poor and not hip and transform them into something they clearly aren’t all for the sake of popularity or revenge” is similar. So is what happens at the end of both media types. This is not a criticism, it’s an observation. I love She’s All That and I enjoyed Fling Club, even though both are pretty predicable.

Cherry Kennedy wants to get back at Cait, her rival and current ruler of the Hamptons, by setting her up to break the rules of Fling Club. Then Cherry will be able to call her out in front of everyone for all the nasty things she’s done. Enter one college guy named Ashely who’s good looking and in need of money to help pay tuition to ease the burden on his parents. Cherry isn’t supposed to really want Ashley or vice versa but that’s what happens, with the potential to sideline the plan and completely destroy everyone involved.

The story is well-paced; not too fast, not too slow, and the author’s writing style was easy and conversational. There’s not much character development as I found most of the rich kids didn’t really have a personality and they all pretty much acted the same immature way throughout the book. I trusted none of the secondary rich friends of Cherry. They were written in a way that the reader assumes they will do whatever needs to be done to get their way or to be friends with whomever is popular at the time. There is a bit of back story though, which explains the rivalry and the emotional upheaval provided near the end of the book. World-building was acceptable but not stellar. I could visualize some of the story but other times I only saw words as I read.

If you are reading this review, please take the lower starred reviews with a grain of salt and the five stars with a bit of ambition. The book isn’t perfect and has some pretty silly things happen, but I found Fling Club to be an enjoyable, fast read that kept me entertained. I value other people’s opinions about books, but I also like to make my own decisions. I’m glad I took a chance on Fling Club.

I really did not care for this premise once I started reading. It felt a bit too high school and juvenile and for that reason even harder to engage with the protagonists.
Also low key it seemed sort of messed up.
Still I appreciate the opportunity given to provide this review and to read this ARC and I would still be keen to read more of Tara Brown's works in the future.

I am a huge lover of this author and have really enjoyed her rom-coms so couldn't wait to check this one out. This one was a bit different than what I expected, a bit of a "Mean Girls" feel to it but still really enjoyed the read. It was a little bit more angsty than my normal read

Fling Club is the first in a new series by Tara Brown. Cherry is from a very rich family., she's used to getting what she wants, she's used to following her friend Cait, and she's used to doing what is expected of her. Until her boyfriend is caught cheating and now she's forced to participate in Fling Club this coming summer. What should be just moving on turns into a vengeance plan by not only Cherry but her brother too.

Not going to lie this story is a bit intriguing. Cherry is used to following, so when she finally starts to realize she isnt' living her life for her self, she goes through quite the highs and lows to figure herself out. There is her life, her career, her wants....and so much more. It's interesting to watch her change and grown and discover just how twisted Fling Club actually is.
