I am not sure why I picked this book up when I saw it available on NetGalley. It looked intriguing and I am really glad I did! I am even gladder I got a chance to read this ARC.

Long long ago when I imagined I would write someday (this blog notwithstanding), and tried to pick on the random thoughts that flit through my mind on the insanely long train journey twice a year from one coast to another (this is in India and it was a total of eighteen hours but felt longer because I spent it all in almost complete silence). This book is what it would look like if I had the skill to transplant that idea into actual work. The author has put forward a collection of stories and poems, each with their own hidden kick. This is not a book for a traditionalist though, it spans multiple genres and styles and is disconnected from each other as only thoughts of a person can be. Each is a thread of inspiration by the author (hence the name) and is masterfully written. The punch those small pieces of fiction have is really praiseworthy. Some of them are pretty dark and that is painted on with a delicate hand and can be appreciated as the artist's talent.
