Another fabulous book by Ms. Robert!! I love how she writes real women and once again in this book I immediately connected with our heroine Allie for so many reasons. While she's a much deserved short vacation on a tropical island, she encounters the oh so sexy Roman... little does she know he's there for business...hers exactly, but their sizzling chemistry doesn't allow them to discover this until the next day after an intense night of passion!!

While I had an appreciation for what Roman was trying to do, help Allie by finding her an investor that believe in her mission, the way he goes about it can be rather questionable sometimes...I mean he followed Allie to her destination.

I loved seeing these two battle and grapple with their attraction while trying to maintain a business persona...it's not as easy as they'd like it to be... ultimately though their passion for each other physically crosses over into oh so much more and seeing this man who's a true shark fall was truly joyous!!

This was A Very sexy read but I didn't love it. Allie was borderline maximum annoying. Fun plot with comedic moments.

When an owner of a gym is presented with a business proposition will she take the sale? The gym and shelter mean the world to her but will she let her heart impact her future?

Maybe a week in the Caribbean is what Allie needs to let the stress go and enjoy a fling.

Hold onto your hearts readers this has heat and is hot. The perfect beach read with a hero who won't give up until he gets what he wants.

My apologies, I didn't connect with the characters or the writing in this book, which is odd, as I like the author. That said, I also thought I sent my feedback on this, literally, months ago.

Thanks for the opportunity and my apologies for the delay in response.

Roman can be quite ruthless when it comes to business and since Allie is determined to avoid him at her work place he thinks nothing of following her to a Caribbean island paradise where she’s taking a much-needed holiday. Allie has put her heart and soul into building a successful gym and using the profits to run a women’s shelter, she sees the two parts of her business working hand in hand and the last thing she wants is a large investor to come along who is more interested in profit than helping people. It’s been years since she last had a holiday so she’s determined to make the most of this break and it doesn’t take much for a hot stranger to talk her into a one-night stand. Unfortunately, the pair get more than they bargained for when they realise they’ve been sleeping with the enemy.

I love a good enemies to lovers story so Make Me Crave was right up my street, throw in a gorgeous paradise island as the location for much of the story and I was totally swept up in the holiday romance fantasy that Katee Robert was selling. Both of the main characters were very likeable, Allie was determined to help people and she wanted to do that by running her business the way she saw fit. Roman on the other hand new that the business was in trouble and wanted to get a big investor on board to help her.

I did think it was a bit silly of Allie to refuse to listen to Roman, she wouldn’t even let him explain his plan to her for such a long time because she was so worried that he would try to take over when in fact his investor liked what she was doing and just wanted to help her continue the good work. They could have resolved things much easier if Allie had just been adult enough to have a proper conversation with him about it. Having said that I did like her independent streak and I did think they made a good couple when she finally started admitting her feelings to herself. This has been an enjoyable series so far and I’m looking forward to the next book.

The Story in 4 Sentences or Less: Roman is determined to close a deal for Allie Landers’ company but when she runs off on a Caribbean vacation rather than face him he gets downright mad enough to follow her. Once there he has a one night stand with a beautiful woman who unfortunately for him turns out to be Allie herself! After agreeing to put business aside and engage in an island fling, what happens when the time comes to leave the island and get back to business?

Like It? Hate it? Love it? Why? Make Me Crave is definitely one of those stories that is heavy on the sexual situations and light on the character development. It’s not a bad thing but I am used to getting heat and character depth in Robert’s books. This is such a short book that I started calling it “The Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma’am” book. There isn’t much time to get to know Roman or Allie much less a chance to see them as a couple away from all the sand, sun, and sex. BUT the sand, sun, and sex is off the charts hot and both characters are likable in a very on the surface way that it’s hard to hate on this book.

Click It or Skip It? Overall, Make Me Crave is the summer fling of books. It’s hot and fun while it’s on but it doesn’t have what it takes to go the distance.

A fun, flirty and sexy story, but it also does touch on a serious subject that was done in a tasteful way. No superfluous dialogue or background descriptions that could drag a story down. I loved the chemistry between Roman and Allie.

This is the second book of Katee’s Make Me series and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Roman. You meet him in the first book and he seemed like an enigma. This book definitely doesn’t disappoint on the Roman factor!

This would definitely be a lighter read of Katee’s books. It is a romance, enemies to lovers book with enough sexy scenes you please everyone. Definitely enjoyed the chemistry between both characters, and completely loved Roman. I was more upset at Allie and her stubbornness but overall and good lighthearted romance book! Would definitely recommend if you need something fast paced and romance after a dark read!

This is the second of Katee Robert’s books for the new Harlequin Dare line, and Make Me Crave is exactly the short, sexy, escapist fun you’d expect from a high(er)-heat Harlequin line. I doubt this book will be particularly memorable for anyone, but the island setting and low angst are a good way to cap off your summer reading with some steam.

Roman Bassani has followed (some might say stalked) Allie Landers to her island getaway in order to close a deal for his investor looking to buy her gym/women’s shelter. She’s uninterested in his business propositions and just looking for some stress-free time with her friend in the Caribbean before she goes home and faces the reality that her dream business is on the financial rocks. Roman conveniently doesn’t know what Allie looks like, so when he sees a hot woman sunbathing topless he’s willing to make one exception to his plan to keep this trip business only - getting this woman in bed.

Of course, the topless woman turns out to be none other than Allie. The pair agree to put their business dispute aside for the time they’re on vacation and enjoy the island and each other. They can have a no strings affair while on vacation and then go back to butting heads in a boardroom when they return to the real world. That is, if neither of them leaves the Caribbean with deeper feelings…

Although you don’t need to read the first book in the series, Make Me Want, prior to this one, I will say both left me with very similar feelings. The plots are incredibly weak and stakes are low. Allie is supposedly in dire financial straits trying to make her dream of combining a fitness center and women’s shelter viable, yet she has the money to spend maybe a week in an all inclusive resort that seems to only have about three guests and ten rooms. I could only wish to have such terrible finances! Roman’s plan to follow her there, with no real clue who she is, rather than wait on her return is flimsy bordering on creepy. Any emotion deeper than sex that was allegedly developing between the two didn’t connect for me. I love Robert’s books and I know she’s got better writing chops than this, so it made Make Me Crave come off superficial.

That said, I do think it’s an improvement over the previous installment in the series which was silly. If you ignore any plot feebleness, Roman and Allie are a really sexy pair and I did like the beachy setting, since it isn’t my usual read. Since I can’t afford a week at a beach resort, this was my substitute for a few hours, and it will totally work for that purpose. So read it for a quick shot of chemistry, heat, and to live vicariously through Roman and Allie splashing in the surf, not so much if you’re looking to have your heartstrings tugged.

Make me crave is the second book in the series by Katee Robert. I have to admit that I liked the part when they were on the island because I got the feeling of something temporary and I felt like I was at the resort with them. I was really digging that part and overall I have many warm feelings about it. I would have been fine if our couple hadn't ended up together. I felt for the first time, that our couple had a one week stand and nothing more. Maybe the part after the resort is the problem. Our characters were talking about trust when they had only been together for a week and before that the hero was chasing the heroine in order to get her business, even if it was for a good cause. I wasn't expecting them to trust the other after a week and I found it very weird in the end. I wanted a leap of faith from the heroine's part since she is the one who had to make the major decision. I understand why she was very hesitant to make that decision and I cannot fault her for that. My final rating is 4 stars since I liked most of the book.

Interesting enemies to lovers storyline! I was quickly drawn into the plot as two strong characters each put their stand point out in front of us quickly. When they come face to face and the attraction is out of this world hot, it's fun to watch them decide to forget about business for a few days and simply enjoy! Fun read.

Businessman Roman Bassani goes above and beyond for his clients, so when he has an offer that has to be presented in a hurry, he has no choice but to track down the owner of the business he wants to acquire while she's on vacation!

Allie Landers might be in need of investors to save her business from downfall, but she's not willing to walk away from her passion project. She will stay at the helm and find someway to make it work ... regardless of how she feels about the sexy man in front of her promising the moon!

I’ve been a fan of Katee Robert for some time and she never disappoints. This is a fantastic book. The main characters, Allie and Roman, are three dimensional and interesting. Allie is struggling to keep her business afloat, and while Roman offers a chance to bring in an investor, she has too many trust issues to agree to even hear out his proposal. She IS willing to explore their sexual chemistry, however, and it leads them to unexpected emotions. Robert never fails to bring the sexy, and this book has tons of it. She manages to tell a great story as well, and I really liked getting to know all the characters. My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer. I’d have loved to explore more of Allie and Roman’s relationship, if only in a short epilogue. I highly recommend this book.

3.5/5

So, am I shallow if I admit I read this book because of the cover? For real, I wanna be with this guy in that blue water. Now I could be in the beautiful blue water here on my island, but only it's winter so boo! Besides the eye-catching cover, I also read Make Me Crave because I'm a Katee Robert fan as a lot of you know. With this short book, I was expecting fun tropical smut and it delivered exactly that.

Allie Landers was one badass heroine. She was a plus-sized (which umm freaking finally!) and a woman who was completely comfortable in her body. It's about time that we get to see smart, beautiful and confident plus-sized heroines finding love in romance novels. Besides the confidence, Allie was also a generous and kind soul. She ran a women's shelter/gym to help women build their confidence as well as momentarily escape their memories. At the beginning of Make Me Crave, she was struggling financially, but Allie was extremely protective of her shelter and wouldn't easily sell it to investors even though she had quite a few lucrative offers. The shelter and the women were a huge part of her and she wouldn't easily give them up just for some profits. But she still needed to decide how she was going to deal with the financial downfall, which was why when her best friend suggested a tropical getaway, she agreed.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, for her, Roman Bassani follows her to the island. You see Roman has been trying to get a hold of Allie for ages as he has an investor who very much wants to buy Allie's shelter from her. On their first night on the island, Roman and Allie wound up having a steamy one-night stand, without knowing who they are. You can imagine Allie's anger and frustration when she discovers who Roman is. The chemistry between these two was FILTHY. They were great together in and outside of the bedroom. Though Allie was a little stubborn about not wanting to do anything with him on her vacation, rightfully so, she eventually gave in. Roman was a typical alpha-male hero, in my opinion. He didn't particularly stand out to me, but I didn't hate him. I did like how he constantly made Allie feel beautiful. So yes, there's lots of steamy shenanigans and the setting only amped up the heat. Of course, over the course of this tropical getaway, the two of them became attached to each other and a romance grew between. Make Me Crave was definitely more focused on the physical/steamy aspects of the relationship, so don't go in expecting many emotional scenes.

If you're looking for a quick smutty read, give this one a try. It was a whole lot of sexy fun! ;)

I absolutely adore Katee Robert's books as they are the perfect combination of sexy, sassy and emotional. Make me Crave was no different as I loveeeed Roman and Allie. I thought this story had heat, humor and heart and could not get enough! Bravo! 4 stars!

Let's start this review with the facts this is a hot steamy read with two main characters who know what they want. But it's more than being hot and steamy because it involves a female main character that has taken a very rough childhood and used it to help other women in abusive situations to have a safe shelter while using her gym, Transcend, to help finance it in part.

Now it gets a little tricky. Allie is pigheaded and fighting change, so she escapes for a while to relax before her life changes forever and breaks her heart. For me the area around her going on the preplanned vacation is well thought out and presented in a believable way. It is something I would do knowing the problem will still be there when I get back and well it was already paid for.

Roman is that hot alpha with a hidden soft side most people never see. I found him to be true to his integrity and his shock when he finds out who his one-night stand is was priceless. So, the relationship that develops between Roman and Allie was plotted by the author in a manner that shows them both off as strong decisive people.

Allie did drive me crazy with her not willing to let Roman talk or even present his case for the business offer. But like many people pride and wanting to take of it themselves stood in her way.

The reader will be very pleased with the ending to this hot, hot story for this reason I give it 4 STARS.

As far as the Dare line of books go, this is one of the less successful ones. Was there still some sexy times? Sure. But the whole storyline was really not credible. And the characters were both kind of annoying. And you knew exactly what was going to happen from the opening chapter. I'll keep reading this publishing line, but this one was a disappointment.

Make Me Crave is the second book in Kate's Make Me series, which I would describe as short erotic romances. I did not read the first and still enjoyed this one.

This book read very quickly and what I would surmise as day beach read that will definitely leave you hot - so be by a pool. LOL

I won't go into details because of how short the book is - I would end up surmising the entire thing. What I will say is that this book will appeal to some and to others (like myself) will be just be ok. It's not that I did not enjoy the story, but I wanted more depth. So be prepared for a very fast paced book with what I would consider a "high level" plot line.

Katee is a magnificent writer and I love reading her other series and books. This is definitely a different side to her writing that many will enjoy for summer reading.

The second in a series (can read as a stand alone or out of order), and another winner! This is just a fun read- characters are developed to the point that you get to know them but not as deep as some other series. And that's ok. This is a quick read that has some steam in it, beach setting, hot guy, and a story to go along with it. Not a lot of fluff added, just a good story that you can start and finish in good time and simply enjoy. Love the author's writing style and she keeps things moving.

Kate Robert can do no wrong! She writes the hottest dang heroes and I loved this book! So sexy and so much fun! This Dare imprint is fast becoming a favorite!

A fairly short read filled to the brim with romantic escapades on a paradise island. Of course off-island life is complicated for both Allie and Roman. She has something he wants and he’s got something she desperately needs. But fierce independence and a wary nature prevent her from trusting that he will do the right thing. Whether it is her business or her heart.
