Laurie is a young college grad living in London with her best friend when she sees The One. After locking eyes with a cute stranger but never getting the chance to meet, she devotes a year to trying to spot him again before she finally gives up hope. During this time her best friend, Sarah, had started dating the most amazing man. When Sarah introduces them Laurie realizes that her best friend is in love with the man that she has been searching for. Told in alternating perspectives, which can be tricky, Josie Silver fully develops the characters and makes you feel for them.

This book had so many ups and downs as the years go by. I loved how the characters matured and made decisions that were not just the product of a chance (non) meeting. It was sweet without being too sugary. It reminded me of the feelings I have when watching the classic rom-coms like Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and Bridget Jones' Diary. I definitely recommend this if you are looking to feel something.

I'm not one to enjoy or even love romance stories, but this is one exception. Agh, I love these characters so much. A typical threesome of friends and wannabe lovers makes for a great setup in this story and I fell in love with them and the story. Certainly a book you don't want to miss.
