I was given a copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. And, this will be an honest review...
I tried, I tried very hard to like this book. I got to Chapter 11 and I just kept asking myself if this story was ever going to go anywhere. I thought that Chapter 12 might be different, but it was just more of the same - Gabe being a total ASS to everyone and Monica overthinking everything. I found myself having to reread paragraphs several times to try and follow along but I ended up just trying to get to the end. By the time I got to the epilogue, I was just glad that it was over.

To the author, I am so sorry! I never intend to trash the blood, sweat and tears that you’ve poured into your work, but this is my honest opinion.

I have read multiple books from this author in particular, and I can’t figure out why I disliked it so much compared to her other works. Except that I found it very wordy and could’ve been half the length that it was.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

What a wonderful conclusion to a great series. Gabe finally got his HEA and with the wonderful Monica. We were finally given his tragic backstory and wow what a painful one it was. It was wonderful to see him working through and overcoming such tragedy. Monica for her part never gave up on him once she realize she loved him.

This book was written in my favorite dual POV. It really helps me to understand the characters' actions so much better. I loved how Ms. Helm also tied up the series in the epilogue. Oh how I wished for more with possible vets coming and getting their HEAs but she gave us really so much more. I will have to re-read this series from start to finish now; back-to-back reading. The characters are delightful and feel like friends. I hate to say good-bye to them but look forward to more stories from Ms. Helm.

I highly recommend this book (really the entire series) if you love military romances.

I finished this book, but just barely. Gabe was one of my favorite characters in the first book in this series (above), but he was kind of an ass in this one. Throughout the entire book, I got the sense that Gabe and Monica were attracted to each other, but didn’t actually like each other. It was a weird dynamic. And for a book that takes place during the Christmas period, it’s not very festive or happy. I wish I had read these books in order, because my experience with this book (#3 of the series) has eliminated my desire to read book #2.

I thought this was a lovely, heart-warming, (and heart-rending) Christmas story. I enjoyed it very much. Monica and Gabe were great together and all the other characters just added so much to the whole story.
I recommend having a box of tissues handy.
Although the 3rd book in this series, it was the first I have read....and the first by this author.....but it won't be the last.

I received an advance copy of this book via the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca, via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias.

Cowboy SEAL Christmas, written by Nicole Helm, is the third book in the Navy SEAL Cowboys series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, however, I strongly recommend reading the previous novels in the series.. The series is about three former Navy SEALs, all trying to get their lives back on track after leaving the SEALs. Alex, Jack and Gabe now live in Montana, and have opened the Revival Ranch to help other soldiers in need of healing.

Gabe Cortez is not a fan of Christmas. He has long given up on love and having a family, and Christmas is a reminder of something he will never have. Unlike Jack and Alex, Gabe is not suffering from PTSD, but has emotional damage from before joining the military. Gabe hides his pain well, and the last thing he needs is for the ranch therapist, Monica, to try and heal him.

Monica Finley is a single mom and the therapist for the Revival Ranch. She specializes in helping to heal the men and women that serve this country, but Gabe is the one service member that she has yet to help. His wounds are not apparent, but she knows he is suffering from something emotionally. The problem is getting him to trust her, so Monica enlists his help in preparing for the holidays, hoping that Gabe will open up to her.

I have been patiently waiting for Gabe's story, and I must admit that it was definitely worth the wait! The relationship between Monica and Gabe was hinted at in the first book, so to finally have their story, the series has now come full circle. Nicole Helm writes complex characters that the reader is instantly and emotionally drawn to. Gabe and Monica are both lost souls in some respect, and I thoroughly enjoyed following their journey. They have their bumps and bruises along the way, but that just lends to the overall validity of their relationship.

I honestly cannot stress how much I loved this book, as well as the previous books in this series. Navy SEAL Cowboys is a series that has tackled sensitive issues with respect, and has shed a light on something so many of our service members face on a daily basis. I commend the author for addressing these issues in a caring and compassionate manner.

I would like to thank Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this amazing story. My views are my own, and are in no way influenced by anyone else.

I really enjoyed Cowboy SEAL Christmas by Nicole Helm.
I enjoyed the storyline, it was well written, well paced and I loved watching Gabe and Monica come together.
These two made me laugh, they made me swoon and they frustrated me a few times, but overall they made me fall in love with them.

Cowboy SEAL Christmas is a lovely addition to the Navy SEALS Cowboys series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

Ohhh, I loved this book! Okay, I loved the other books in this series as well but reading about Gabe, the odd one out, the one who refuses to accept help (oh, well, I know, that's what the others said as well, right?) and who really has a hard time to accept that he is drawn to someone who by her profession represents everything that he hates...I loved it. Monica and Gabe are both amazing characters who are trying to belong, trying to find their place.
This wonderful family-by-choice that opens up to those around them and takes care of their own, is heart-warming and sweet.
Alex and Becca's marriage is approaching and emotions are flying high, especially when Gabe and Monica are trying to fight their growing attraction. Some things are not meant to be suppressed though, and even Gabe might not be able to stifle his feelings much longer... If you've read the other books you know that he is rather good at ignoring his feelings but with their attraction growing and his feelings becoming more intense, well, even a Grinch can learn to love Christmas so Gabe should be able to learn to love and accept it in return, right?

This is another wonderful book in this series that drew me in right from the first page. I really enjoyed reading it!

Monica and Gabe have been doing quite a dance around each other in the two earlier books in this series as secondary characters and completely come into their own in Cowboy SEAL Christmas. Both have deep inner strengths and convictions, different but strong nonetheless. Each knows loss and the pain that never quite goes away completely as life moves on once again. And now the magic of Christmas will meet one determined Grinch during a blizzard that will finally allow two people who obviously are attracted to each other bring their full selves into play and see where the cards fall.

I hurt for Monica and Gabe in different ways as their slow burn romance goes through some serious bumps and curves. Funny at times, heartbreaking at others their story will touch your heart and remain with you long after the final page. And that epilogue was stunning and a perfect ending to this series. We’ll meet up with earlier couples, see familiar faces around Revival Ranch as it comes together as a place that will do a lot of good for some amazingly brave people. I do wish we’d gotten to see Revival Ranch in action, but… there is always the possibility of spin-off stories that might take us back, and I’m certainly hoping for that. I laughed, I cried, I certainly got annoyed and I had a wonderful time with the former Grinch Gabe and Monica. Look for some heartwarming moments, the magic that the Christmas spirit can bring to anyone and a really good story. This is the third and final story in the Navy SEAL Cowboys series yet it’s not completely necessary to have read them all. I would recommend the entire series though because they are all such unique, enjoyable stories.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

I loved this book. Gabe lived on a ranch with two other former Seals and their ladies. Both of his friends suffered from PTSD. There was a therapist that moved there that was helping them deal with their issues. The purpose of the ranch was to help former soldiers deal with their issues. Gabe did not have PTSD but was certainly suffering from other issues due to a tough childhood. He was rude to to Monica (the therapist) because he did not want to talk about his issues. Monica had lost her husband and had a 10 year old boy. Gabe liked the kid and was attracted to Monica but fought it all the way. It was painful to read what he was going through but his friends weren't cutting him any slack about it, I loved that about the book The 3 seals stuck together and helped each other through thick and thin. This was a good strong book.

This is Gabe and Monica's story. I was a little confused as I didn't read the previous books. This is 3rd in a series. I will be reading the other 2 shortly. This book was awesome, Gabe is so moody and downright rude sometimes that I loved watching story develop and see feelings develop between these two. Highly recommended.

Cowboy SEAL Christmas was a very charming, sweet romance that reminds you what Christmas is all about.

Monica is a caring mother, who is working at a ranch to help other people cope with their fears. Gabe is the one man, who reminded her that in the process of working her job and providing for his son, she forgot how to love again.

At the beginning of the book, I found two mistakes and I hoped this wouldn’t be a book full of it. Thankfully, it wasn’t and since this is also an ARC, these mistakes will probably be deleted and corrected.

What did bother me was how in the first couple chapters everytime Gabe and Monica talked, he said something like ”Is this a shrink talk?”. It sounded to me like Gabe couldn’t have a normal conversation with her without thinking of her as a shrink even if she asked little things. It repeated several times until they got a little closer and Gabe opened up more.

My first book by this author but I think it won’t be the last. I loved how she took the time to describe the relationship between Monica and Gabe and even Gabe and Colin. It’s a perfect Christmas standalone novel which I recommend reading in front of the fireplace while drinking hot chocolate (or other hot beverage and a radiator if there’s no other option) ;).

4 stars from me.

It was warm and cozy to reconnect with Revival and the other couples, especially catching up with Jake and Rose from the previous book. Monica and Gabe's romance was heartwarming and definitely a slow burn with a gradual build up. Their story is a bumpy one and deals with a lot of delicate situations but it's also emotionally gripping and honest.

Monica and Gabe have been circling each other since book one. These two are like oil and water and it was funny to see everyone around them could see what they both adamantly refused to acknowledge - crazy hot attraction. When they both get snowed in and the proximity tempts them into finally giving in to their mutual desire, the tension they've been denying reaches the breaking point.

Memorable Moments:
This love story couldn't be complete without a cute gesture and Macaroni the baby llama was definitely a memorable. Not only for the cute factor but also the sweet significance of what she represented.

Honorary mention to the Grinch references. Gabe's heart definitely grew a few sizes :0)

Would I recommend? Yes, although it is part of a series, this could be read as a stand alone.

This was a beautiful romance and really tugged at the heartstrings. The hero is a grinch that needs to rediscover the meaning of Christmas.

Cowboy SEAL Christmas is book three of the Navy SEAL Cowboys series by Nicole Helm. I enjoyed the Christmas theme even though the book is hitting stands the first time before Halloween. On these hot humid Southern September days, the snow is a welcome idea. It is part of the seeing which affects he characters too.

All things Christmas is enjoyed by some hated by others. The contrast is not lost in the novel. Nor is the theme that opinions can change base on experience. Gabe has so many hang-ups about many things but especially therapists and celebrating Christmas. I couldn’t help but want this old Grinch to find his way past his issues. Monica is the opposite, staying positive when her world is not always rosy. You just have to like this woman. Together their story is interesting, sexy and heartwarming too.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

What a great finish to this series! I have read book 2 but did not get to read book 1 yet, and feel that each book can be read as a stand alone.

What a hard road for Gabe to get past the painful past he went through as a teen. It was great that while Monica wanted to get Gabe to talk about his past and help him, Gabe also challenged Monica about things he saw in her life.

Parts were so emotional that it was hard as you felt their pain. What great brothers, Alex and Jack, were to give Gabe an intervention and wake him up and help him see his view of love was flawed.

The epilogue was great as it went five years in to the future and we see how their lives were full of love with their families - even though they still had issues, they worked through them and didn't give up.

I’m a big fan of Christmas romance novels and was excited to have the opportunity to read an advanced reader copy of Cowboy Seal Christmas. I’ve never read anything by author Nicole Helm but now I’m happy to say I’m going back for more. It’s always great when I fine a new to me author for romance novels. Characters and plot were very engaging and well put together. I love a happy ending. Thanks to the author and her publisher for letting me read this wonderful holiday romance!

Cowboy SEAL Christmas was a fun holiday romance with more than enough steam to make your e-reader work overtime! Gabe is a super hot former SEAL who covers a lifetime of emotional abuse with surface charm and his oh so sexy smile. But being on Revival Ranch puts him in the path of therapist Monica Finley, a sexy single mom he finds irresistible…even though he has a deep and abiding loathing of everyone in her profession.
It took a little while before these two admitted their feelings—even to themselves—and that was pretty damn frustrating. BUT Nicole Helm offers plenty of secondary characters to keep things interesting while we’re waiting for Gabe and Monica to get their acts together. Monica’s little boy, Colin, was adorable and his relationship with Gabe only made him even more irresistible. The fellow ex-SEALs and their women were all there, making me laugh and roll my eyes at their antics.
By the time Monica and Gabe get to spend some time together, the snow has fallen and things get hot. Really, really hot.
I liked Gabe and Monica’s journey because it wasn’t simple but it wasn’t filled with unnecessary drama. Both of them had real problems that were very relatable and more importantly, they weren’t the kind of problems that made you grunt at your e-reader in anger.
The resolution in Cowboy SEAL Christmas did come a little fast for me and I didn’t think the Epilogue was necessary but none of that took away from my enjoyment of Nicole Helm’s third installment of the Revival Ranch series.

Okay so this isn't your typical light and fluffy Christmas read but I wouldn't have it any other way.

So. I didn't expect Gabe to be thisbroody but I also wasn't surprised. As the books progressed, I noticed Gabe getting surlier and surlier in the background, almost as if he retreated more and more into himself as his best friends got better mentally and found love. It was painful to read because Gabe started off this series as quite the fun guy, but at the start of his book he was someone else.

It was both fun and frustrating seeing Monica and Gabe interact with each other. Gabe obviously had issues with therapists, and he blatantly refused to get treatment because he said he didn't need any. He annoyed Monica a lot, shutting down her attempts of communication with sarcastic and sometimes rude remarks.

In the previous books we didn't get to see a lot of Monica beyond her therapist duties, but in this we got to be in her head and read her thoughts and fears, and that made her more real to me. Her fear regarding her son Colin was understandable and valid, but it also frustrated me so that she was too paranoid to let him go free. Gabe made her faced the fact that she couldn't keep her son in a bubble.

I shed many tears reading this book, mainly for Gabe because what he went through in his youth damaged him so badly to the point that he didn't trust love, and he already accepted that he would be alone in life. It took a lot of work for Monica and the other men to hammer into him that he was loved and that he was deserving of it. The groveling scene was a bit short, I feel but sweet nonetheless (and there was a llama involved so points for that). The epilogue just made me cry happy tears.

I wonder if Nicole wrote books on the Lanes because the way the Lane family was mentioned sounds like they had their own stories, so I have to check.

Anyway, I loved this book a lot. It was a great finale to the series.
