A fun and sassy Texas gal, Charlie, meets up with uptight and stoic New Yorker Beck. Great chemistry and story, especially in Texas. New York, not so much. Didn't quite get Beck's father though, and didn't quite get the idea of the pig. Funny though. Enjoyed this story and author. Would recommend.

All-American Cowboy is Dylann Crush’s debut novel, to be released in June 2018. It is a cute contemporary Texas romance which utilizes the fish-out-of-water trope when a New York executive (Beck) must work three months at a Texas honkytonk to secure an inheritance from his recently deceased grandfather. The female love interest is the tortured heroine, Charlie, who has run the honkytonk for the past eight years and has hidden her emotions while remaining in a small Texas town since her longtime boyfriend was killed by an IED. A cute change is that she goes to visit Beck in New York and is, in turn, a fish-out-of-water in the big city.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This book was just a SUPER fun and sweet read. Being a native Texan, I love when an author gets it right with the small-town Texas vibe. Holiday could be any one of a dozen towns where I have relatives.

Charlie and Beck are both likable characters who feel "real." Charlie's family is fun, and they make for great supporting characters. I hope this is the start to a series for some of her brothers.

Beck's desire to uncover his grandfather's character is thoughtful. I appreciated how he did not let his own father's negative views influence his own.

Let's talk about how much fun Baby Back is to this story -- she provides so much comedic relief and even is the catalyst for Charlie and Beck's meet-cute!

The writing was smooth and easy. I read this book in less than 3 days and would probably be willing to read it again (esp if we get another installment from the Walker family). A fun story with a perfect HEA!
