This is a compilation of four stories that are related and they are good to read in a weekend. You don't really have to be engaged or follow along too closely. The things about books like this is that they read like novellas to me and I have to keep that in mind when I'm reading them for that exact reason. They're extremely easy to follow along with and you don't have to keep up a whole lot.

A lifetime of bad luck convinces our main character that she is jinxed. One more bad thing is causing her business to possibly fail. This is a story about trust and faith; trust in man she just met and faith that she won't, again, be on the losing side. This is a story about empathy and courage to go on in the face of failure. HEA is what we all strive to make happen. Good story, strong plot and likeable characters.

4 couples all end up with the one they're supposed to be with and all getting their HEA. Interesting how the authors have all comingled the stories to achieve the endings.

This book was gifted to me by the authors in return for an honest review.

4 Related Stories

This is a set of 4 books, all related. Each book is written by a different author. This was a fast paced, easy to read set. The books were all good, but they didn’t grab me in any way. They were entertaining, but the stories seemed to follow a typical romance plot. I usually find books by Lori Wilde and Janet Dailey to be much more engaging. The other 2 authors, Allyson Charles and Stacey Keith are new to me.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book. I am providing my honest review.

A WEDDING ON BLUEBIRD WAY is reminiscent of a gorgeous patchwork quilt done with style, grace and love. A WEDDING ON BLUEBIRD WAY joins four talented authors and charges them with the task of taking the story of a run-away bride and constructing four separate tales incorporating characters involved in the wedding that never happened. And so true to type, these four writers put pen to paper and came up with linked scenes that introduced unforgettable characters. Each story is a gem and from start to finish you quickly realize that you are in for a treat.
Weddings are so glamorous and sentimental but there are times when happily ever after and until death do us part is not the expected end of the ceremony.
It all starts with The Wedding That Wasn’t that kind of chronicles Felicity Patterson’s life that had been less than gracious you might say – or as Lori Wilde puts it – hell in a wicker handbasket. Humor is Lori Wilde’s best tool and in this novella it starts off A WEDDING ON BLUEBIRD WAY with a bang. Felicity is perhaps the most upbeat person you could ever meet. The Bluebird Inn business as a wedding venue was just starting to show great promise. The gardens at the inn were truly magnificent – only thing missing were bluebirds but they have been gone for several years. Aunt Molly let the cat out of the bag when she cautioned Felicity about that an old midwife curse. It couldn’t be that she had actually been jinxed her whole life. But it certainly would explain how things just seem to happen to her and those she loved. Well only if you believe in that stuff.
The wedding of Savannah Loving and Chance Worthington were going to be the first step stone to the success of Felicity’s wedding business. But the Loving-Worthington wedding never happened. Savannah’s uncle Tom – kind of the lost black sheep of the family – had jokingly offered his bike if she changed her mind. And well you guessed it. Now everyone is angry and Tom is receiving the brunt of that anger. But somehow this unexpected visit to Serendipity has Tom looking happier than ever. Could that be because of the lovely soft hearted gorgeous owner of the Bluebird Inn.
Tom and Felicity decide to join forces and see if they can entice bluebirds back to Serendipity. Felicity saw it as a way to hopefully end that stupid curse. Tom saw it as a way to delay his inevitable departure from Serenity and Felicity.
Suffice it to say the following three delightful novellas follow the antics of both Felicity and Tom and Savannah and Chance as well as other members of this engaging cast of characters. Love is definitely in the air. Hopefully the bluebirds will return to Serenity and along with them a final end to that nasty curse.

A Wedding on Bluebird Way is an anthology. I love short stories that tie together. This set of stories culminate in a wedding. This book is well-written by some wonderful authors. I recommend this book I was given an arc copy of The Weddoing on Bluebird Way in exchange for my honest opinion.

Second chance romance is one my favorite romance categories and this anthology definitely delivered on the trope! There were second chances in the form of characters returning to town and reconnecting with lost loves, characters finding a second chance at happiness after a devastating loss, and second chances as characters came into their own and learned to take risks. I was initially interested in the book because I'm a fan of Lori Wilde's writing. Her story, the first in the book, was so emotional. It was a fantastic introduction to the characters, as well as the theme of second chances. I loved the hopeful feeling that flowed nicely through the rest of the stories, and really enjoyed the overall arc of the "failed wedding" that led to so many Happily Ever Afters. This is a book I'll be picking up in print form to add to my keeper collection.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced readers copy.

Fair warning, I don't usually enjoy story anthologies like this one, but I love the authors in this one so I thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did, the stories were sweet and I loved how they all mingled together. I also loved that there was an epilogue, it really tied the sweet stories together in the end.

The stories all revolve around the charming Bluebird Inn in Serendipity, Texas, and an early wedding fiasco. How everyone in the stories are affected by this early wedding drama is revealed throughout the stories, and also how it changes everyone in the stories. I loved how the people recovered and how they were able to grow and change from the first story.

My only complaint, and one I often have in these types of stories, is that because they are short, the stories don't have enough time to fully develop. I think this one was a bit better than most, because the authors were able to bring in past characters, and the epilogue was able to wrap things up a bit.

Overall, short, sweet stories, and a good read. Lovers of anthologies will love this one!

I love anthologies because I can read a story quickly put it down and do what I need to do before coming back and read another. Ones where the stories all connect are even better. This way each character truly have their own voice.

We start out at a wedding with the bride leaving the groom at the alter, so each story moves on from that. You want the owner were the wedding is taking place Felicity Patterson & Tom Loving (The Wedding that Wasn't, Lori Wilde) This one has a cures and two really likable characters. It's a wonderful start to the book.

Next we have Hank Evens & Savannah Loving (There Goes the Bride, Allyson Charles) I also very much enjoyed this one. You understood why Savannah did what she did. You wanted her to find love because she's such a nice person who was in a bad spot. Hank is perfect for her he allows her to live.

After that was Joshua Loving & Hailey Deacon (Loving Hailey, Stacey Keith) I've never read her before so this one is a new author for me. I'm glad they finally found the HEA story. I liked these two.

And last was Chance Worthington & Harper McClain (Bachelor Honeymoon, Janet Dailey) This one ties all the stories up and ends the book. I'm glad Chance got his HEA too. It's not easy being left standing in front of everyone knowing the woman you are going to marry is on the run.

All the stories are good but I will admit my two favorites are Wilde's and Charles. I like them already as authors and that's one of the reason I picked this book.

I quite enjoyed this book in the way that each author dealt with a different character that was involved in the wedding on Bluebird Way. Each story was uniquely different and very enjoyable. All of the characters were strong in their own way as well as having other characters stand out in each of the stories. I often don't enjoy books that have short stories like this, however as this one was all tied into the main underlying story, I found this group of stories very enjoyable. Often times when you have different authors writing one or two stands out more than the others, but in this book all of the stories were great!!! Light happily ever after reading at it's best!

All together I absolutely love how the stories come together. It is kind of a beautiful thing how authors can work together like that. This is absolutely an amazingly beautiful story and I love how it all works together in one small town. Just like the gossip in a small town. Each story has their own ups and downs to go through. They are short yet quick and you kind of fall in love with each of their stories quickly. Honestly I really want this book in physical form.

The Wedding that Wasn't by Lori Wilde:
This quick short story is beautiful and I am absolutely in love. Honestly I want more. Felicity believes she is cursed and everything in life ends up being against her but it doesn't always have to end that way. It peaks my interest into looking into more of Lori Wilde's books. I want to know what happens in that cute little B&B, with their romance and lives. I am happy that the story went beyond just the romance even in the short time it also focused on the Lovings and the brothers relationship. For anyone who says that relationships like this don't happen this quickly have never been struck by that lightning. 5 stars.

There Goes the Bride by Allyson Charles:
I absolutely love the relationship that becomes between the runaway bride and the man that comes home after running away from his past. It is unexpected yet so meant to be. They knew each other from when they were younger all the elements were there. It was quick and beautiful. I wish I had been able to see how this builds and continues. 5 stars.

Loving Hailey by Stacey Keith:
When love falls apart because someone thinks it shouldn't be there in the first place and then it prevails because it always belongs is always the best love story of all time. This one may be my least favorite out of the four stories in this book. Not to say it is bad in anyway but the best part about it is the end. The ending is beautiful and heartfelt. But the rest of it is a little bit struggle. 4 stars.

Bachelor Honeymoon by Janet Dailey:
This story was honestly the quickest read I wanted to hate this doctor. I really really did. In honesty this comes together so beautifully and so well you can't hate any of it I think the thing I hate is how much she pushes him away but being in her place at one or three times in my life I 100% get it so my struggle to love hate both of them was real. I cannot pick a favorite story out of all of these. But I absolutely loved the way this one ended. 5 stars.

I really had trouble getting into the book initially and getting caught up in the emotions of the characters. The storyline was good, but it just didn’t stand out in my mind amongst other books in the genre. The blurb was great, but overall the book just fell flat for me.

A Wedding on Bluebird Way by Lori Wilde, Janet Dailey, Allyson Charles and Stacey Keith is a collection of heartwarming romances by four tried and true authors. All four stories are focused around one wedding that was to take place in Serendipity, Texas. While the wedding does not go off as planned, be assured that there are second chances and a happy ending for all.

Lori Wilde’s The Wedding That Wasn't starts the reader off with the planned wedding going all wrong. It is neither the original bride’s nor the groom’s full story. That comes later in the anthology. Instead it is the story of the bride’s uncle, Retired Army Major Tom Loving and Felicity Patterson, the owner of the Bluebird Inn. This is inn where the wedding was to be held. It is wonderfully written with a curse to lay to rest once and for all.

There Goes The Bride by Allyson Charles is the bride’s story. Deputy Hank Evans becomes involved in helping Savannah Loving after she runs away from the wedding. This is a newer author for me. I found the story well-done and charmingly entertaining.

Loving Hailey by Stacey Keith has Savannah’s brother, Joshua Loving returning home for the wedding. Once home he is reunited with his former teenage love. Social class and status is at the heart of this story.

The jilted groom’s story is last with Janet Dailey’s Bachelor Honeymoon. While Dr. Chance Worthington was not the right man for Savannah, you want him to find happiness too. His story with Harper and her young daughters was the most surprising of all. It is a delightful read.

This book was a collection of four intertwined stories by four authors, Lori Wilde and Janet Daily whom I have read before and two new to me authors, Allyson Charles and Stacey Charles whom I definitely be reading again!

It's well written and takes you a journey...following each couple so they can find true love, happiness and a wedding to tie it all together!

I thought this was a really unique idea for an anthology. The first story was about a wedding, or the wedding that was supposed to be. That first story by Lori Wilde was really good. I didn't know what to expect from the others, but it certainly wasn't what I got. It was a story that branched off from the first and the main characters in it were characters we had met in the first.
After the second one, I was very anxious to see who would star in the next stories. They surprised me a few times. When all is said and done, I thought this collection was delightful and the concept was wonderful!

This is the perfect summer read. 4 great stories from 4 great authors. All four stories are interconnected. It all starts with a wedding with a runaway bride. The book was steamy with just the right amount of hot. Each novella was another couples story and created a whole book.
The first story is about Felicity who owns Bluebird Way Inn and is hosting the wedding. She has sunk all her money into this inn and this wedding will make or break her. A runaway bride is not going to help her at all.
The next story deals with Savannah the runaway bride who rides off on her Uncles motorcycle and gets pulled over by Police officer.
The next story is about Hailey who is working the wedding and meets up with her old flame who left her to go off to college when his wealthy parents didn't approve of the poor girl.
The last story deals with Chance who is the jilted groom. He may discover, his runaway bride did him a huge favor when he spots the girl of his dream across the way.
Very sweet and cute read for the summer.

A Wedding on Bluebird Way by Lori Wilde, Janet Dailey, Allyson Charles, and Stacey Keith was a collection of four stories that revolved around a wedding at the Bluebird Inn. I love this type of book as all the authors blended their stories around an initial wedding that did not happen due to a runaway bride. I loved the easy flow from one story to the next. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers!

This is a collection of four wonderfully written short stories each highlighting one couple involved in a wedding that was suppose to be held at the Bluebird Inn. The authors did a fantastic job of blending all the stories as the effects of the cancelled wedding trickled down to each couple. Each of these stories are fantastic and all together they give you a very relaxing read. I highly recommend this book.

A Wedding on Bluebird Way
Four Novellas – Four Romances – One Theme

~ WOW ~ Four wonderful stories surrounding a wedding that never happened and four couples that found love in spite of the epic event’s failure…or was it a failure indeed…that I could not put down and had to finish to find out how each story ended.

The book begins with a prologue that is almost like that of a fairytale with an omen of dire events to come – but – can a jinx be nixed? Read the stories to find out!

THE WEDDING THAT WASN’T by Lori Wild:
Felicity has had a run of bad luck since her mother died. She has lost much but never lost her ability to bounce back from adversity. Her B&B is soon to be “THE” place for weddings and she is sure all will be well. And then…perhaps not. Tom Loving,
one of the guests at the B&B, takes a fancy to Felicity, settles in to help bring back the bluebirds and the two hit it off…until something happens… This story has a slightly older couple that so deserves the HEA that they finally get!

THERE GOES THE BRIDE by Allyson Charles:
Savannah Loving is the runaway bride who takes off on her uncle’s motorcycle only to be pulled over for speeding. Hank Evans remembers his younger brother’s classmate, provides her with a safe place to stay and then…fireworks occur between the two of them. This story had me smiling and oh so very happy as I read of Savannah leaving behind who her parents wanted her to be while returning to the feisty strong woman she was always meant to be.

LOVING HAILEY by Stacey Keith
Hailey Deacon and Joshua Loving are the story of young love with a second chance. The two were a couple at eighteen and opposites not only in economic status and social standing but also in other ways – and yet – at eighteen they knew they were meant to be together. Of course something happened or there would be a second chance for the two of them and what a powerful story this one was as the two find a way for a future together!

BACHELOR HONEYMOON by Janet Dailey
Even the groom is given the opportunity for a HEA ending in this collection of stories as Dr. Chance Worthington finds himself helping the wedding planner, Harper McClain, out with her charming twin daughters. He is not a fan of children but when one issue after another has to be dealt with he finds himself more and more entranced and charmed by Harper and her daughters. A great addition to the collection that had me smiling often.

The epilogue tied up all the loose ends in a great big happy bow leaving me eager to find out if there might be another collection to read by this group of authors. If not, I hope to find books by each of them to read in the future! Note: Sometimes I like one story more than the other in a collection like this but I have to say that I loved each and every one of these!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC – This is my honest review.
