A Wedding on Bluebird Way is a series of four stories that are entwined in several ways, each written by a different author. It all begins with a wedding day that the four were participating in one way or another. The Wedding That Wasn't is the story about the woman who owns the inn the wedding was to take place at & the bride's uncle, Tom. Felicity keeps receiving notices of cancellations & Tom tries to encourage her. There Goes the Bride is about Savannah Loving, the runaway bride. She's always done the expected, correct thing. Until the morning of her wedding when she realizes she's marrying her best friend because it's expected, not because she loves him. While running away, she meets an old friend. Loving Hailey is a story of second chances. The runaway bride's brother Joshua was serious about a girl from the other side of the tracks in high school. He let his parents convince him to go on to college without Hailey & he's regretted it ever since. Will Hailey ever forgive him? The final story, Bachelor Honeymoon, is the jilted groom's story. Chance can't believe Savannah actually left him at the alter. He's proud of her. Chance came to the rescue of the wedding planner & felt the spark that had been missing in his engagement. Can he convince Harper to give him a chance? Each story is a short sweet read with wonderful characters.

A sweet set of interconnected novellas beginning with a runaway bride at The Bluebird Inn. First we follow the B and B owner while she gets swept away in love. Then, the initial bride finds her true love. Her brother gets his second chance with his first love and lastly, our jilted groom finds love at first sight. Fun and a little sexy these stories remind me of a soap opera or a Lifetime movie. They must be read in order, don't skip around or read just one. I'm a big of Janet Dailey and now have three other authors to try. My copy came from Netgalley and my review was written voluntarily.

I enjoyed this book and how one book encompassed 4 separate stories that all centred around one wedding and the venue where the wedding was to take place. Each story was had it's own unique story.
You start with the Innkeeper, who wonders if she can keep her business going, then jump to the runaway bride, who gets pulled over by the local law enforcement. Next we have the jilted groom who keeps the two adorable little girls out of trouble with their mother who is the wedding planner. Then we have the caterer who meets up with an old flame and wonders if she will get burned again.. This all takes place in the little Texas town of Serendipity and where when you come to the Bluebird Inn you might just find your Bluebird of Happiness....

A little more than a year ago I read the book Happy Is the Bride that was a compilation that included two of the four of these authors. I really enjoyed how the book was all one bigger story told in 4 short stories. Each story deals with a different angle with different characters as the main focus. I couldn’t pass this one up when I saw this book was using that same format. Plus, I’ve recently discovered Stacey Keith and I love what I’ve read from her so far. The following review is broken down by story.

The Wedding That Wasn’t
by Lori Wilde

This story made me cry. And I don’t mean I sat peacefully with tears running down my face. I am talking ugly crying with hitching sobs and snot running. It is such a beautiful story of love and finding your true self. The things Felicity has been through in her life are incomprehensible, yet she always bounces back. We could all learn a lesson from her, that’s for sure. The only other story I’ve read by this author was in the aforementioned compilation and I hadn’t been crazy about that particular part of the book overall. I’m glad I got to revisit Ms. Wilde’s work with this one because it has definitely made me want to give her another try. ~ 4.5 stars

There Goes the Bride
by Allyson Charles

My goodness, this story was sweet. I thought this was a new-to-me author, but I realized I read one of her books last fall and wasn’t overly impressed with the chemistry of the characters in that story. Well, she did a great job of impressing me here. Not only was this sweet, but it was also sexy, passionate, fun, and profound. I love that when Savannah and Hank connect it’s just instantly comfortable. Even with the heat that sparks between them, their souls are at home. Wonderful! So far this book is 2 for 2 of taking authors I wasn’t too impressed with and turning them into authors I want to read more from. ~ 4.5 stars

Loving Hailey
by Stacey Keith

This is a super sweet story about true love. Or, more like re-finding true love. Hailey and Joshua fell in love when they were 18, but lost their way. This delightful story is about how they find their way back to each other and learn to fight for what they really want. It’s very touching. ~ 4 stars

Bachelor Honeymoon
by Janet Dailey

First, I have to address the issue that for some reason I never realized that Janet Dailey had passed away…5 years ago. That was before I even discovered this author. Or should I say, this author’s ghost writers? The weird thing is, I can’t find any information on who write for her now or if it’s more than one author writing for the Estate of Janet Dailey. I don’t know why, but things like this fascinate me. As for this particular story, I found it very touching. I liked that, although Chance was instantly attracted to Harper and knew he wasn’t “in love” with Savannah, he still questioned himself and his own motivations. Whereas Harper did all she could to resist the chemistry between the two of them, her daughters did not help since they also fell instantly in love with Chance. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of second chances and finding true happiness. ~ 4 stars

Overall, I really love this book. It’s the perfect vacation read since it’s divided into the four stories, none too terribly long. Plus, it gave me renewed interest in two authors that I hadn’t previously had a great experience with. It’s definitely worth picking this one up.

I always know that when I pick up a book by Ms Wilde, I am in for a treat. This one proved my theory. To make it even better, her story is the start of a series of stories by other talented authors, all intertwined with the wedding that wasn’t.
Ms Wilde’s story, takes place in the Inn belonging to Felicity Patterson, a widow who is counting on the success of this wedding to take her Inn out of possible bancrupcy and Retired Army Major Tom Loving, uncle of the bride. I really loved that the author gave us characters in their 40s. The story was heartbreaking but also heartwarming.
Allyson Charles gives us the runaway bride’s story. Loved Savannah and Deputy Hank Evans story. They were perfect for each other. Hank wanted her to be herself and not someone else just to please her parents . Great chemistry between them. Continuing with the same thread of the wedding that wasn’t, Ms Stacey Keith gives us Hailey Deacon and Joshua Loving. He is from a very prominent family and she is from the wrong side of the tracks. But they have a history. They have a history . Will they find their HEA or will they go their separate ways? Lastly, the groom that was left behind gets his story. His will be with a stressed out Harper, the wedding planner.
Kudos to all the authors for creating stories that were interwoven and entertaining.
I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I loved this book. The four stories are all well written with good plots. I enjoyed the way the stories were all connected. I am familiar with two of the authors but the other two were new to me and I will be looking at their books. I recommend this collection of fans of romance books.

What a treat for romance fans! This is four linked stories written by four wonderful authors to make a whole novel which gives you insight into four different couples involved with a wedding. Whew. That sounds complicated but it's not, it's delightful. It all starts when Savannah decides to run away from her wedding to Chance. You'll meet all sort of people in Serendipity Texas- Felicity who owns the inn where the wedding was to take place, Harper the wedding planner, Hank who is an old flame, and so on. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Nicely done!

Fantastic book, a collection of stories by several authors ! This book would make a great movie series for Hallmark. ! . I can see Bluebird Inn so clearly ! My reservation is booked and my bags are packed too.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I must say I love bluebirds and loved the creativeness and interesting facts revealed about them. I loved how the Epilogue brought each story together for each couple ... brilliant way to be revealed .... Each couple has a special story.

Enjoyed meeting the two special children in the book .. they made me smile and chuckle. No spoilers from me .... and enjoyed how each author blended the characters from each story ... melded so perfectly ! .... such great collaborative work by the authors. Kudos. Families, and individuals had their challenges ..... and two special people said two different statements at a very special concluding event thought brought tears to my eyes & squished my heart !

Someday ... I can imagine in my mind and heart a Christmas gathering in the future bringing all the folks together for one more time. ... and who would we meet all grown up... maybe two special children we met. (but what could their stories be.) OK... I love to dream happiness. ! ... but not without a journey to get there ... just like A Wedding on Bluebird Way... at Serendipity, Texas.

Lori Wilde’s writing style is always so easy to read. Her characters extremely likeable. The storyline was hard to read, mostly because she makes us like the Tom and Felicity so much. But the payoff is worth it. Highly recommend.
Savannah’s story had me smiling. I loved Hank. Yum. Allyson Charles was new to me. As was Stacey Keith. I really enjoyed their stories.

I liked all of the connecting stories in this book. All the authors write great romances so everything transitioned nicely. Finished one and couldn't wait to get to the next. Four in one how can that be bad!

What a lovely read just in time for summer. 4 stories all relating to an almost wedding in Serendipity, TX, with happy endings for all, including the bluebirds.
Coming from 4 different authors, each had their own unique story told during the same timeframe and I feel they did a great job.
The epilogue gives you the big final sigh of happiness.

It is wonderful that four authors could collaborate to come up with four stories that all coincided at the same time. Plus they ran seamlessly into the next.

It all started with Felicity finding out from her aunt that she is jinxed. She doesn't believe it but then she comes to believe it after the bride decides to runaway. The brides uncle decides it is time to bring back the bluebirds and bring back love and prosperity. When at her lowest point, she sees a bluebird. Is the jinx broken? Tom Loving wants to find out. Now Savannah Loving is glad she ran away. Only now she is being pulled over by Sheriff Hank Evans and her girl parts start singing. She has know him for over half her life and now realizes he is the one. With the wedding that is now cancelled, Joshua is back and looking to find Hailey Deacon. She is his first and only love. They were manipulated by his parents but now he knows what he wants. Can he win her back? Dr. Chance Worthington, the groom, knows he dodged the bullet. He didn't love her but Harper McLain is heating him up. The problem is, he doesn't want children. To bad. Harper has the cutest twin girls. It is a package deal. Will he decide she is worth it? The Bluebird Inn is a perfect place for a wedding. Just who gets married will be fun to find out.
