It was so great to go back to Old Town Alexandria and visit with Sophie, Nina, Mars, Bernie, Natasha, and their friends and neighbors! One of the things I love so much about this series is that it includes fairly equal amounts of sleuthing and real life. Sophie's on vacation from her job in this book, but there are plenty of relationship dynamics, activities around town, get-togethers, and cooking mixed in with the mysteries of the story. There are multiple victims, suspects, and secrets in this book, which kept me guessing until the very end. I love the advice column letters at the beginning of each chapter that show how sensible Sophie is and how ridiculous Natasha can be.

I was so happy to hear that there was going to be a new book in this series, and even more thrilled that I got an advance reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion. I hope there will be many more books in this series to enjoy along with Krista Davis's other great series!

I volunteered to read and review of this book distributed by the publisher using NetGalley. Opinions are my own.

I've read all the books in this series & have loved them. I must say that I'm disappointed in this one. It is well-written & has richly detailed characters as always. But I don't feel that the Sophie & "the gang" were very nice in this book. They shunned Kelsey, they all decided that she was guilty of murder just for being Hollis's second wife. They jumped to conclusions and made her life miserable. They acted mean and spiteful to her. I didn't think that was in the characters that I've grown to love over the series & I don't think that this is behavior that should be showcased. I did not enjoy reading it. #TheDivaCooksUpAStorm #NetGalley

It's so exciting to have Sophie Winston and company back in the 11th installment of Krista Davis's Domestic Diva cozy mystery! Having read all of the Domestic Diva mysteries, this one did not disappoint. The story remains fresh, and has as much fun, friendship and intrigue as the very first book. The only problem with the series is there isn't a new book every week. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

This is a charming and delightful story chock full of good friends, good food and, oh yes, an intriguing mystery. Sophie Winston lives in beautiful Old Town Alexandria where she runs her own event planning business. One of her neighbors, Hollis Haberman, has recently divorced Cindy, his wife of many years who was a friend of all the neighborhood, in order to marry Kelsey, a much younger trophy wife. When Hollis is killed after inhaling some kind of poisonous fumes suspicion falls upon Kelsey. Sophie tries to befriend Kelsey but is unsure whether she truly is innocent and naive or is really a calculating killer. I loved the book, the stories about how the neighbors all get together for pot luck dinners during the storm. the friendships between Sophie, Nina and Francie, and all the other characters in the book. This is the first book in this series I have read and I am now going back to the beginning to read them all!

Pop-up dinner parties have become all the rage, so when Sophie Winston’s best buddy, Nina, gets her the goods on dinner party where the guests are all big time VIPs and the chef is a celebrity in their own right, Sophie is thrilled to be involved. But the party turns out to be a bomb when a guest shows poor taste by bringing along his very young, very attractive new wife. That doesn’t settle well with his ex wife and son, who are also at the party. Still, that’s small potatoes when compared to the main event, which leaves some of the guests dead. The domestic diva is out to solve another mystery! This is my favorite “domestic” cozy, one I’ve been reading for years, but is always fresh and fun

It was very pleasurable to dive back into the diva series. I enjoy this series and am delighted there is a new installment. First, I love the cover. The hydrangeas are divine. I liked the mystery premise. The plot keeps you guessing. All the descriptions are so homey and very cozy. I hope Davis keeps adding to this series.
