Rebecca Zanetti continues her sizzling hot Dark Protectors series with the story of vampire Ronan Kayrs and Dr. Faith Cooper.

Imagine Faith’s surprise at learning that vampires exist when she was asked to help a patient in a coma who wakes up the moment she enters the room. She’s a woman of knowledge and science but the irrefutable fact that the sexiest male she’s ever come across has fangs and she’s absolutely attracted to him. His existence has skewed her worldview and now she’s not just struggling with this overbearing male but she’s also running for her life.

When Ronan sacrificed himself to protect the world from evil hundreds of years ago he thought his life was forfeit, never thinking he could one day be able to touch the woman who was intended to be his mate. Centuries later when he wakes up, she’s right there next to him. She’s everything he dreamed of. Beautiful, smart, and caring. She’s also challenging and skeptic of him and the new world he’s introduced her to. Can he convince her to trust him before she puts her trust in the wrong species? Can he win over her heart a midst the threats surrounding them?

Vampire’s Faith is full of Rebecca Zanetti’s signature traits – stubborn independent heroine, strong familial bonds, page turning action, appealing characters, a determined alpha male and delicious sexy times.

Ronan and Faith square off more often than not due to Faith’s, well, lack of faith in Ronan. Yet he’s exceedingly patient and shrewd. He didn’t miss a beat and with Siri’s help he conquered modern civilization. Capturing Faith’s heart and keeping her safe was a completely different story but I loved every single time his alpha showed throwing caution to the wind whenever Faith’s safety was danger. Another swoon worthy book boyfriend thanks to RZ.

The new world building is fabulous. Built upon the existing Dark Protectors framework, the story crackles when unknown bad guys are put into play and new characters are introduced expertly joining favorite individuals from previous books making this an exciting and sexy read with a splash a humor that will hook you from start to finish and leave you wanting more.

Vampire’s Faith is book #8 of the Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti. It is an exciting standalone paranormal romance, told from various points of view with a happy ending.

I do love me some Dark Protectors.

Jumping right into the thick of things this story starts off with a bang. This isn't a book you can read as a standalone! You'd be totally lost if you did because whilst it's a separate couple every book.. they are heavily intertwined. You have more that two POV's aswell from different characters so it helps to have the back story.

Like I said you are literally jumping into the thick of things from the start and I loved it. It's fast paced with barely enough time to catch your breath but pay attention to the little details because there may be clues to what's coming.

Dr Faith Cooper and Ronan cracked me up!! They are complete opposite but absolutely perfect together. They clash constantly but it's bloody hilarious. Both dominant outspoken characters but with very different beliefs. It was hilarious watching Faith try to fight the attraction to Ronan and fail every damn time. It was also hilarious to read about Ronan trying to learn the 21st century world he's woken up in. I chuckled through the whole book at their antics. Their chemistry was palpable and while they were rocky for awhile.. the connection was instantaneous.

As per with this author the book is jam packed full of action, suspense and secrets. Whilst some questions get answered in their story ... your left with even more about other characters. The story line is quick paced and you get more than two POV's giving us little teasers into possibilities for the future. Everything fit and I was sucked into the madness from the first page!. I loved it hard which isn't a surprise because I have loved all the books in this series.

I can't wait for what's next!. I just wish we had a little more time with these characters to see what the others think!. However I have no doubt that will be in the next book. Bring on Adare's book! I have a feeling some questions will be answered in there. I'm also excited for both Garrett and Logan's books! Those boys crack me up with their antics! And I'm sure life is about to get hella interesting for them.

I’m really loving the world this author has created in her latest book of her Dark Protectors series. Between the vamps, demons, hybrids, Cyst and Kurjans, not to mention shifters and witches, I’m in paranormal heaven. In Vampire’s Faith, the history of these characters was entertaining and realistic, giving me insight into them and allowing me to feel like I was really getting to know them. Ronan absolutely made this story for me. He was my kind of hero - intelligent, heroic, protective, considerate, thoughtful, and such a sweetheart. I loved getting his perspective because I got to see not only his humor, but the awesomeness of his heart and his honest intentions towards his mate. As for Faith, I liked her for the most part. She had quite a few characteristics that made me admire her, such as her intellect, loyalty for her sister, compassion, and her determination to help and heal those who need her. However, there were one too many reasons why I couldn’t be her biggest fan and she alone is the reason why this book didn’t get all the stars.

Oh Faith... the many ways you got on my nerves...

⭐⭐⭐ I think there is a marked difference between spunky, fierce and independent heroines and ones that are sullen, immature and illogical. Faith was a respected doctor, which means she not only completed post-secondary education, but she also went through med school, completed her practicals, overcame her residency, and attained her certification/licensing as a medical doctor. That alone leads me to believe that she has not only intelligence, but also some sort of wisdom, if not common sense. So why is it that she could acknowledge how profound Ronan’s strength was, how inept and unprepared she was against his enemies, but consistently felt it necessary to think that she could take care of herself? What gave her this idea? And after it was proven that she indeed wasn’t capable THE FIRST TIME, why did she insist on persisting with this theme? There’s stubborn and then there’s stupid. Unfortunately, the brilliant doctor was the latter.

⭐⭐⭐ For a seemingly smart woman, Faith asked the most asinine questions and pondered the most idiotic thoughts. You know nothing of the immortal world. You didn’t even know it existed until Ronan entered your life. Yet when you ask him a question and he gives you the answer, you still believe you know more than him. He’s lived for more than 1000 years. Has had far more experience dealing with his enemies than you have. Has observed nature for far longer than you have. But you KNOW everything right? Because while he was gone, his enemies that you DID NOT know existed before now, must have evolved right? Let’s broker some peace with the race of people who killed your brothers and are attempting to kill you. Makes sense right? Because they could be good people. GAH!!

⭐⭐⭐ Faith doubted everything that Ronan told her. Despite the fact that his actions showed her, time and time again, how much she meant to him, the lengths he was willing to go to in order to keep her safe, and that his affections were true, he must be a liar. Why else would his enemies tell her so? It couldn’t POSSIBLY be because his enemies realized that she’s a fool and have their own agenda. Nope, let’s not use our brains.

⭐⭐⭐ This woman is constantly surprised at the greatness of Ronan and his brothers. Each time he does something otherworldly, she’s flabbergasted. It’s not like he didn’t spend the majority of the book doing the seemingly impossible. It’s not like she didn’t accept that he was IMMORTAL.

⭐⭐⭐ I get wanting to be treated as an equal by your partner. I’m all for it. However, if my partner is an immortal that can only be killed by complete decapitation, a male who can heal his injuries by sending healing cells to the spot, meaning gunshot wounds, hits by swords, and bomb blasts cannot destroy him as long as his head is still attached, I’m going to accept that my human self is no match. I will accept that there are areas where we can be equals and others that I’ll leave in his capable hands. I WILL NOT argue for equality when it comes to battle. It will take nothing to end my life. This chick kept saying that he couldn’t tell her what to do. I wanted him to take her word for it and leave her fate up to her. Let her stand in the way of a rocket blast or machine gun fire and see how her life fares.

⭐⭐⭐ She constantly gets mad and rebels against Ronan’s orders. He only commands her to keep her safe and she is constantly arguing and putting herself in danger in order to assert her independence when she has shown absolutely NO CAPABILITIES THUS FAR to prove that she can withstand the dangers they are all facing. She would put herself in danger, then rely on Ronan to rescue her, which he would do. She kept making him jeopardize his mission and at times jeopardized the lives of the ones who came before her, his family, who were the ones who were even willing to help her and protect her in the first place. Who does that? Faith does. She was selfish, childish, and irresponsible.

Wow, this review ended up being loooong!! Obviously I’m still a bit upset about Faith. My rant is over (for now). Luckily she wasn’t the end all to be all of this story. There was so much else to like and so many more characters to love. The men who make up The Seven have me entirely too excited to read more about them, but I’m not complaining because I have loved what I’ve read so far. If you love a story rich in friendships, family, love, and plenty of action, with an intricate and compelling plot, then you’ll want to add this series to your to-read list as much as I do.

Always a sucker for a good series, I was loving the story and the characters by chapter two. Ronan was an old-school alpha male, that I feel we never truly got his whole story so the character still feels a little mysterious. Faith is smart and I was pleasantly surprised that she was sensible as well and not the cookie cutter smart but extremely dumb. By the end of the story, I was fangirling to read the books about the remaining seven.

It's been a while since I read any books in this series, and after reading this one I need to re read the whole series again. These books are fantastic. This waz my first and only vampire series I have read and let me tell you it is so good! Just like the whole series, once you start a book you get so wrapped up in the story you can't put it down. This book was packed with romance and tons of action. I definitely recommend this series!!

I received a copy from Netgalley and Kensington Books.

QuickShot Review
I liked it. Ronan is definitely in the mold of an alpha hero, and sometimes he was a bit too alpha-hole for my liking. Faith, on the other hand, was likeable and the fact that she did push back and go toe to toe with him helped with my enjoyment of the story. I think they had good chemistry. The story has good action sequences and it’s clearly building towards a big confrontation.

However, I really wished I had more familiarity with this ‘verse. I didn't check to see if it was part of a series, so I didn't realize I was coming in 8 books in. I was a little lost with the rules of this world and it did distract at times. That said, it wasn’t a hard entry point, and the setup for the story allows the reader to learn about the ‘verse along with the characters.

I think if you’re a fan of the series, you will love it and if you’re new to it, you’ll be intrigued enough to want to know more. Unless you’re obsessive about reading in order like me, in which case, see if you can read the early books first.

As always Zanetti delivered an amazing read. If you love alpha male's, edge of your seat action, and an interesting ongoing story-line this is the book for you.

I have not read any of Rebecca Zanetti’s works before but WOW! I’m an instant fan and will be tracking down as many of her books as I can find. The Dark Protectors series sounds fantastic! Her writing is of very high quality- and fairly rare in this age of self-published works. I loved the characters (although I did find our heroine to be a little out there - dare I say stupid at times? ESP for a doctor). The characters were generally great, the plotting was great and the writing quality was - you guessed it - great! A 5 star read.
My thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for my honest review.

I was beyond ecstatic to get into this one. I have read her books before with right away this one when I opened caught me good. I knew as soon as the characters came on board this one was going to eat me up. I was supposed to be reading something else for before this one but I could not resist the call no more. Aptly put titled to with the closing line sealing this one in the bag. I felt I was coming back also to a show I had missed having begun this series with the first few a while ago but having forgot about it until now. Ronan is not your average "victim" the doc comes across and when they begin to converse you will be a goner. Faith is unique with something but it does not help her with her sister which that will keep you on edge along with other elements. Anxiety will be just a few of the emotions this one will cause you haha. The heat will be slow and teasing thanks to outside forces but it will leave its "mark". The other characters also will capture your attention with story being stellar in that it cause you to devour it in no time flat. The romance is raw and loud with it being the caliber at its finest. The fight will leave you waiting for more.

Holy hotness. Ronan will knock your socks off! I love the idea of the Seven and I can't wait for them to become more connected with the world and characters we already love as readers. Zanetti has proven herself once again to be a gifted storyteller. I love this series and the direction it's moving in with the Seven.

Vampire's Faith is a hard book to rate. I have not yet read all the previous books in the DArk Protectors series, so there is likely some information I am missing. On the other hand, this book starts a whole new and very different storyline in the world and doesn't really need a whole lot of introduction from the previous books.

Two things mark this book, in particular: it's insularity and Faith. Vampire's Faith sees almost no recurring characters from previous books. There's no Dage or Talen riding to the rescue or arguing they've seen the events. There are no Dunnes throwing fireballs. There's not even a familiar shifter. This sets the book apart from the original books in the series. It's a very closed and secretive world.

On the other hand, there's Faith. I've questioned the choices other heroines have made in some of the Dark Protectors books, but Faith has got to be the most egregious of them. She is simply TSTL and half the mess Ronan ends up in is because of her nonsense. Maybe she should spend more time thinking and less time rushing off to do stupid things. I got more frustrated with her the longer the book went on.

The saving graces of this book were the neat placement of four characters. Three are ones we've seen before and two I won't name, just say that seeing them and seeing the events surrounding them made up for all the nonsense with Faith. I am so excited to see what will happen with them and where their stories are going. The other recurring character is Hope. I loved her and I loved her dreamworld. The obvious full-circle aspects of her life really make me excited for her book as well.

There's more than enough action in Vampire's Faith and the plot didn't really let up but it did tend to drag every time Faith did something incredibly stupid, which seemed to be any time she actually did anything. Overall, it's a really good start to the next phase of this series, but I am looking forward to the next books way more than I enjoyed this one.

Vampire Ronan Kayrs wasn’t supposed to survive the savage sacrifice he willingly endured to rid the world of the ultimate evil. He wasn’t supposed to emerge in this time and place, and he sure as hell wasn’t supposed to finally touch the woman who’s haunted his dreams for centuries. Yet here he is, in an era where vampires are hidden, the enemy has grown stronger, and his mate has no idea of the power she holds.Dr. Faith Cooper is flummoxed by irrefutable proof that not only do vampires exist ,they’re hot blooded. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Rebecca Zanetti is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books.

Some fanged creatures go bump during the day as well as the night. Returning to the world of the Dark Protectors, Vampire's Faith brings a whole new slew of people to Rebecca Zanetti's well loved and lusted after character list.

King Ronan Kayrs has awoken in an entirely new time and place, something that despite his enormously long life hasn't happened to him before. If waking in a human hospital when one is most decidedly not human wasn't complicated enough there are assasins after him and the brethren he belongs to who are simply known as the Seven. Tasked with keeping a great evil from the world Ronan had sacrificed himself to solitude in order to protect humanity and immortals alike, he never had imagined he'd be walking in the world again nor in the presence of the woman who has haunted his dreams for centuries.

Faith is a doctor, the foremost successful neurologist specializing in coma patients. Science is her bread and butter, and the only belief she relies on, which is what makes things near unbelievable when her latest patient awakens suddenly and begins spouting nonsense. The giant man who was once dwindling in a coma believes he's a vampire, not only that but that people are after him and that somehow Faith is his long lost mate. What is probably the most elaborate joke on the planet quickly sours when she's kidnapped by her patient and taken away for "safety". It would be laughable if there weren't men with guns chasing them and if the man/vampire wasn't the most gorgeous man she's ever seen.

As always Ms. Zanetti drags us into her world with effortless ease that surely no one will protest and ensure are senses are wrapped up and entranced by the latest paranormal action. With the war from the previous books over and the biological warfare ceased, this book is more of a spin off series than a new dark protectors novel. We have a few cameos from people we've met along the way within the earlier parts of the series, but the books could definitely stand alone if necessary, at least through this first enstallment. That lack of appearance from the rest of the Kayrs family leaders, whom we've grown to love and wonder about, was a little disappointing for me. Its unclear if they're going to be making further appearances or not, apart from one or two characters. I felt there was ample opportunity to include them and their antics, but alas it was not to be. Perhaps, in the next book there will be more involvement from the others, but for this book all but four remain unmentioned.

The lack of Kayrs relatives does not take away from the plot, which was fast paced, intriguing, and not short on the action both in and out of the bedroom. Ronan is definitely a vampire to add to the list of Zanetti heart throbs we keep on our shelves and return to time and time again. Do I think this book is the best of the series? Well, I have my favorite, but that's a personal preference and I think everyone should read them all, including Vampire's Faith,, before deciding which. I eagerly await the next installment in the Dark Protectors saga and in the mean time just might reread the series as it stands, because it is certainly one of the most favorite housed upon my bookshelves.

This series lives on! After reading Realm enforcer series and the last book in this series, I thought this might all be over. Because after all the battles won and lost, the final war was won, right? So what happens after happily ever after? For Ronan Kayrs, there was no happily ever after. He was one of the chosen few who paid an ultimate sacrifice to contain a crazy killer. Coming back to life into the world centuries later was not what he expected.

I loved this book. I loved Ronan because he's a dedicated and loyal male who understand the pain of sacrifice. His character amused and entranced me from beginning to end. Ms. Zanetti writes some of the best alpha males that I like. He's a warrior and yet, more than that. His ability to pick up this new world so different than his last is impressive. He is a man of the ages because he can adapt and change. After everything he's been through, it is nice to see there may be some light and hope. In this new age, he meets his mate, Faith Cooper.

Faith is a doctor and her name is definitely irony. Because if there is one thing Faith does not have, is faith. Well, maybe I should say, she does not believe in blind faith. If she can't touch it, dissect, examine it and test it, she doesn't believe it exists. And yet, she can easily stay optimistic and have "faith" she can save her sister.

This book definitely kicks off a new arc with new groups that were not seen previously in this world. As the first in this arc, I'm immediately captivated and hanging off every word. The pace of this book is just right as ebbs and flows. There is the right mix of romance with action. I prefer the action since for me, Ms. Zanetti's writing style is stronger when it comes to urban fantasy, action scenes and complex plots. Her romance tends to leave me a bit ... dry and disengaged. This is not to say I don't like the mates she matched up or that I don't like the characters. More that her story line w/o erotica/sex would be equally as strong if not better. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Matters not. I usually skim through the sex scenes and get to the good part... what is the evil side planning? How are the heroes (or anti-heroes) going to battle to save the day? Are they going to save the day? Who will be lost, damaged or killed? Will it be the good or the bad? I like how Ms. Zanetti keeps the readers on a slight edge because it isn't always going well for the good guys. This gives a more gritty realism which appeals to me.

This is wonderful start to a new arc and I can't wait to see what comes next. I'm excited about this series all over again. This paranormal romance is highly recommended to urban fantasy readers who enjoy a bit or romance.

I loved this book. Rebecca Zanetti always does a great job of making characters you are interested in. I love her heroines, they are smart and stand up for themselves. She does a great job of making the relationship develop in a way that doesn't seem dumb or cliched.

An amazing book from this author. I loved it even though I have not read the previous books I didn't feel like I missed anything. I loved the story and all the characters. I loved how Faith never backed down and was not going to let anyone run over her. Ronan was great, he was sexy, strong and very determined. I can't wait for the next one.

Vampire faith is the first for me in the series. However I had no problem getting into the story. The beginning took me a bit to get into but after that if life wouldn't have interfered I could have read it in one sitting. Ronan has been away in another dimension for a thousand years. Now for some reason hes back on Earth and in the presence of his mate.

Faith is a woman of science and she's a neuro doctor. Ronan is an anomaly to her and she cant put what's she seeing and experiencing to facts. When her world blows up and facts reality and fiction clash they are going to be battling everything from their attraction to each other to those who want to kill them all in all it was a good book

Hot hot hot is the new Dark Protectors story of King Ronan Kayrs and Dr. Faith Cooper. The humorous meeting of the very old vampire, who survives 400 years in a world he thought he'd live in alone the rest of his life, and the strong science based modern day doctor of medicine makes for an interesting meeting of characters. It's a battle of personalities but the attraction is real and oh how those characters connect. She was the face he'd seen in his dreams while she never had a clue vampires were real. Now they have their own lives to survive as there are those after both of them. I never tire of Zanetti's characters. They are full of life, humor, love, and so much more. Topping that my favorite characters from previous books are back to add to the story. If you want romance, hot romance, suspense, and great characters, grab the book as soon as it hits the book shelves!

4.5*
This is the first book in Rebecca Zanetti’s next DP saga and I can not wait to read more. The world building and new characters mixed with past characters from the Dark Protectors series is very exciting.
Dr. Faith Cooper specializes in coma patients and has a gift at bring them out of their coma state. With everything she knows and her secret weird gift she can’t help the one patient that means the most, her sister Grace. When she’s checking a patient and he suddenly wakes and knows her name she’s surprised because she’s never met him before.
Ronan Kayrs “The Butcher” a member of The Seven and an ancestor to the Realm gave up his life for the protection of his people. He's been imprisoned in a dimensional bubble for centuries to guard the evil Kurjan shield, Ulric. Somehow his bubble was broken and he awakens in this new and very strange century. The first person his eyes meet when he comes out of his coma is the one he’s dreamed of, his mate, Faith.
The word is out that The Butcher is alive and the Kurjan and Cyst are after him. He must protect Faith, find his brothers of The Seven and learn this new world of carts moving with out horses, huge buildings and Siri.
Faith wants to save her sister so badly she doesn’t know who to believe, Ronan the male who makes her finally feel safe or the Kurjan’s who offer her a possible cure. Science and emotions do not mix in Faith’s world, can she trust Ronan and the unbelievable world she never knew existed or stick with what she sees and science as she knows it?
This book is nail biting suspenseful, funny, heartbreaking and sexy as h$ll. Ronan is a century’s old alpha male and Faith is a modern woman who does not like to be told what to do. It was fun to sit back and watch these two bump heads and find their way through this mating.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters. They were relatable, flawed in all the right ways, and truly lovely in their loyalty, especially Ronan! The storyline was unique and intriguing, and the underlying story that continues throughout the series has me anxiously awaiting book 2!!
