In Bed with the Beast is a great mix of humor and romance.. This was a laugh out loud story for sure. Great characters, I mean who doesn't love a story about Belle and the Beast, no matter how many times it's been re-written.. Scarred/flawed heroes always make for a great read particularly when they're all broody? *sigh*

This was an interesting take on the theme of Beauty and the Beast. Isabelle “Belle” Reading finds herself homeless when her dad kicks her out of the house because he’s not happy with her choice of friends and the business that she’s started with them-The Naughty Princess Club. Belle is devastated. She has no money to get a place of her own, she can’t ask her friends who have financial problems of their own, and all her hopes of saving her beloved library are going down the drain. She begins to sleep at the library while she tries to figure out what to do next.

Vincent “Beast” Adams comes through big time when he realizes Belle has been sleeping at the library. He offers her a place to stay while she figures things out. Vincent is the bouncer at a club in town and while Belle knows him, she confused by his offer. Since she has no other prospects, she accepts.

I’m not sure what it was about the blurb that made me want to read this story. I’ve stayed away from stories that use fairytales blatantly as a theme. In this one, our H/H are even named Belle and Beast. Perhaps I was intrigued by the fact that these young women who meet in book 1, find a fast friendship in their common struggles and decide to start a princess themed stripping business because why not??? Though the Disney franchise would probably have a cow!

I took a while to actually “get” this pairing. I’m not sure if it’s because I had not read the previous book and the relationship dynamic had already been established for Belle and Vincent. As the story moves forward, though, I came to enjoy them as a couple. Belle comes off as a bit naive and Vincent’s beasty-ness is really just based on his physical size. I guess it’s a good name for a bouncer at a club. I warmed to Vincent so much more once we get into his back story and I could understand where his head is at. It certainly confirms the “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” where Vincent is concerned-because he was so much more and he and Belle are well suited.

Cute story with humorous moments with a feel-good-girlfriends theme.

I really wanted to enjoy this one.... unfortunately it fell short. I found the first book to be a great spin and very funny. However, I found this book to drag on and not really grab my interest. So much so that I was prepared to DNF at 90%. I ended up skimmy to the end to grab tidbits and see how it ended. I liked Beast's character alright but Belle seemed to grate on my nerves. I'm a firm believer in letting the characters be who they are. Who they were written to be. It's just that I could not make myself like her no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't wait for this book's release but honestly, it's because I couldn't wait to get more Ariel. I love her and will jump at the chance to read that book. I'm just hoping I don't set myself up for more disappointment.

This was my first time reading anything by Tara Sivec and I’m kind of disappointed it took me so long to get my hands on one of her books. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started reading. I thought it was ludicrous that this 25 year old was sneaking through a window but I didn’t let that deter me. Belle was quite the surprise. She’s quirky and full of passion when it comes to what she loves. It was easy to connect with her when it came to her love of books. I admire her for wanting to step out of her cocoon and spread her wings. While it was easier said then done, she didn’t let anything or anyone keep her from trying to accomplish her goals. I had a hard time understanding her relationship with her dad. He was quite ridiculous if I do say so myself and I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about it. I loved Belle’s relationship with Ariel and Cindy. I found myself laughing to the point of tears every time those three got together in the story. I like how we got little pieces of Vincent as the story progressed. I would have loved to know his point of view especially when it came to dealing with Belle but I don’t feel as though the story was lacking because we didn’t have it. I thought it was sweet how their relationship evolved even if it wasn’t an ideal situation. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Amazing read. I have read other books by the author but, this one is gold. Could not put it down. Would recommend this, highly!

I read the first one and then bought the audio and then I read this and bought the audio and loved it!! I loved Belle and Beast (Vincent) and thought they were awesome together! Tara Sivec has a really great series going and needs to keep it up. I can't wait for Ariel and her book is going to be something of a hoot. It's funny how the books run parallel to the actual stories and I loved the beginning of each chapter which sets up what each chapter is going to be about. If you want to get the full effect - buy the audio! You will not be disappointed. That's what I did and I couldn't have been happier. I loved the audio version. Everyone should pick that up.

I recently read IN BED WITH THE BEAST by Tara Sivec and LOVED IT!! It's the second book in the Naughty Princess Club series. I was so excited for this book because--duh--Beauty and the Beast, pease note my book sleeve. I thought this book was clever and smart and I loved Belle and the 'beast.' I loved that she was shy and unsure of herself and really came into her own. Beast was patient and kind and so thoughtful. I loved the twists and nods to the original fairy tale in the first book and this book also was SO clever in it's delivery. Her bad dates and parallels to the inanimate objects from the story were just too, too good. The friendship between Belle, Cindy, and Ariel was incredible. They are so honest and real yet supportive of each other in the perfect balance. I CANNOT WAIT for Ariel's book because she is so crass and in your face, I cannot wait to see her vulnerable and fall in love *sigh*.

I just cannot get enough of the recent trend of dirty Disney Princesses! Tara Sivec has knocked yet another book out of the park with this twist on the modern Beauty and the Beast!

I love a good brooding bad boy hero, and Vincent "Beast" can pull off the brooding bad boy better than almost any other hero I've read! He keeps to himself, loves to grunt instead of use actual proper English, but in his own way, he was sweet, and almost kind... oh wait, we're not on that version. But he does have a soft side that he doesn't necessarily let you see, but if you pay close enough attention, you can see it.

Belle is the quiet librarian who seems to have no back bone. As the story line progresses, I loved to see the growth in her character! She is the best type of friend to have, and proves that time and again to her friends.

I loved seeing the interactions between Belle and Beast. She tries everything she can to keep her distance, but something keeps drawing her in. Beast is a hard puzzle to figure out, but every once in a while you get a glimpse into his true self. I love when an author gives me a puzzle to figure out! The chemistry between the two was electric, and the build up to when they finally come together in an electric way was epic!

Belle has always been my favorite of all the Disney characters, so much so, I even have the Enchanted by Disney Belle's Rose Engagement Ring! I am always scared that when an author tries to put their own stamp on a classic, they are going to go too far, and we have the next Twilight disaster, but Tara has truly captured the essence of the characters and spun this into a modern-day fairy tale!

I am loving this series. It is fun and sexy and I am swooning so hard over these characters. I love the fairytale references with twists and a modern, fun feel. This is definitely one of my favorite series from Tara Sivec. I absolutely cannot wait to read more and to see what we will get next from her!

I am really enjoying the Naughty Princesses Series by Tara Sivec! This is book two and is loosely based on Beauty and the Beast. We met Belle for the first time in At the Stoke of Midnight and now, she finally gets her HEA.

Belle is a quiet, book-ish nerd who desperately wants to save her little library where she works from closing it’s doors while at the same time, kicking off her career as a stripper with the Naughty Princesses. Her father disapproves and has recently kicked her out of her home. She’s living in her library when she meets our Beast; a broody and intimidating hero with a penchant for reading (swoon) and a really sweet side (swoon harder).

I loved these two together. I also really enjoy the subtle references in Sivec’s work to the classic fairy tale we all know and love. It’s creative, endearing and in true Sivec form, laugh out loud funny. These are our favorite princesses as we’ve NEVER seen them before- cursing, stripping and falling madly in love with their princes (ok maybe we’ve seen that part before but we haven’t seen it like THIS). What I loved most about this book is the evolution from quiet and nerdy librarian to confident, sexy, take-charge stripper. To some it may seem like a backwards career progression. But to these princesses, stripping is more than just a means to an end. It’s empowering and liberating. Unlike the classic fairy tales, there are no damsels in distress that need saving from the knight in shining armor. These women save themselves and they do it in 3-inch stripper heels.

I can’t wait for book 3- Ariel’s story!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!!! Thankfully work has been slow - and I haven't been interested in it - so I've been reading.

This book, this whole series is one you can't put down! Yes, if you've watched the movies, you know whom ends up with whom but there are crazy hysterical hijinks like only Tara Sivec can tell!

I wondered how Belle was going to come out of her living with her overprotective father's house and boy, she did it in a big way. I love her book nerdy and fact-reciting ways. I love little bits of weird trivia. I don't spout them like she does but they're nice to know.

And BEAST?! If ever there was a character to love!! I love his growls and his bossiness and how he just immediately cares for Belle and her somewhat naive self. Amazing story and just a great warmup to Ariel's!

In Bed with the Beast is a fantastic installment in The Naughty Princess Club series with a very sexy romance and an amazing friendship between the female leads.

Belle has spent her entire life living under her father's rules and the Naughty Princess Club is the first thing she's done for herself. After her father finds out about Belle's sneaking out and who her new friends are, he kicks her out of the house. Soon after Vincent “Beast” Adams comes to her rescue inviting her to stay in his spare bedroom while she figures things out. Determined to save the library where she works, Belle knows she needs to start stripping and soon. But first she needs to learn more about what men want and what better place to start than with the handsome man she's becoming more attached to with each day.

Belle is devoted to the library where she works and feels it's the one place in the world where she truly belongs. As most of her life has been spent in books, Belle knows a lot about various subjects and will spout off random facts whenever she's nervous. I really enjoyed her facts and how much it was a part of her personality. Belle is the least experienced of the Naughty Princesses, but she is determined not to let that stop her from moving forward with stripping.

The friendship between Belle, Cindy, and Ariel is by far my favorite thing about this series. The three genuinely care about each other and only want for each other to be happy. I did feel that Cindy and Ariel were a bit protective of Belle, but it came from a good place. The three women are all working incredibly hard to make their business a success which I admired.

Belle and Vincent's relationship started off a bit slower as Belle wants a fairy tale and Vincent was adamant that was something he wouldn't be able to give her. Over time though as the two got to know one another more, it was clear that all either of them really wanted was each other. I loved that Vincent was incredibly patient with Belle and never pushed her for more than she was ready for. Ultimately everything that happened in their relationship was because Belle wanted it to and not because she was pushed there. I also really loved how much Vincent was a fan of Belle's random fact giving as that's such a big part of who she is.

I enjoyed In Bed with the Beast immensely and can't wait for Ariel's book, Kiss the Girl, to release later this year. I highly recommend The Naughty Princess Club books to anyone looking for a new romance series to pick up.

In Bed with the Beast is book two in the Naughty Princess Club series by Tara Sivec.

So this is the second book in a series which is A retelling of beloved fairy tales set in modern times. It’s a fun and lighthearted story line where Cinderella becomes a stripper to make ends meet, Arielle gets conned by her ex and where Belle is basically living in her father’s basement because he’s unreasonably overprotective. In Bed with the Beast introduces us to Belle who is a librarian and Beast as the bouncer in a strip club and they basically light the pages with action and comedic situations. It’s a fun and lighthearted romance guaranteed to make you smile and laugh. As a reader you get invested in the characters and you really want them to get the 21st century’s version of a Happy Ever After. Now, on to Arielle’s book!

In Bed With the Beast by Tara Sivec is Naughty Princess Club book #2. A contemporary retelling of Beauty and the Beast with Isabelle (Belle) Reading in need of money to keep her library going. She and her friends, Cin and Ariel start a stripping business to raise money. When her father kicks her out, Vincent "Beast" Adams takes her into his house, and he is just as big and growly as his name suggests.

Told from Belle's perspective, she gains confidence and experience on her own out of her father's house and grows as a character. Vincent is definitely as possessive as you would imagine his character to be and as he and Belle spend more time together a romance between them grows.

Overall I enjoyed In Bed With the Beast by Tara Sivec as a clever modern version of this classic story that has always been one of my favorites. These characters really are a "tale as old as time" and continue to be romantic and fun.

In Bed with the Beast is book two in the Naughty Princess Club series. This time around, we have Belle and the Beast. After a fight with her dad, Belle decides to move into the library she has been trying to save. She does not want to burden her friends with her troubles so she hides her problems. Vincent stars showing up at the library and he soon discovers what she is up to. He demands that she come home with him until she can get on her feet. Belle has decided to make the most of her time and asks Vincent for help with men. She wants to learn how to be sexy and figure out what men want.

I loved how alpha Vincent was and how hard he fell for Belle. But, Belle does start to feel like she went from one overprotective household to the next. However, in the process, she does learn about how to stand up for herself and helps the Beast open his heart.

I liked this one but didn't love it as much as I was anticipating. It had fewer laugh out loud moments but did keep me engaged. I think some of the ways the plot went when it came to the father was a bit far fetched.
I'm really enjoying this series and can't wait for the next one.

I’ve enjoyed this author’s books in the past, especially her brand of humor, and was in the mood for something a bit lighter. I’ve always thought the twist on a well-known fairytale is an interesting trope, and was really looking forward to how Miss Sivec would spice up Beauty and the Beast while making me laugh. Although I did enjoy this and I laughed at a good number of parts, I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed.

In Bed with the Beast is the second book in the Naughty Princess Club but can easily work as a standalone, which is how I read it. When I started the book, I found myself giggling and smiling, thinking the opening scene was promising both in the plot and humor-wise. And for the most part, the plot was pretty good and an interesting riff on a well-known fairytale. I love the idea of The Naughty Princess Club, and I loved the idea of Belle being the hot but nerdy librarian, but it just failed to really catch fire for me and I really lost interest by the second half of the book. Miss Sivec is known for her crazy, sometimes outlandish humor and I’m generally willing to roll with the ridiculous when it’s just too funny. This time it felt a little forced compared to this author’s other romantic comedies. I also didn’t quite connect fully with Belle, maybe she was a bit too innocent and naïve for my tastes, and found Vincent (Beast) to lack in depth. So despite a strong and promising start, this ended up being a miss for me in a few different areas. I think if you’re a fan of this author or retelling of fairy tales and are looking for a breezy, light book, In Bed with the Beast may be just the ticket.

A tale as old as time: she needs a place to stay, he's a grump with a secret and an extra room...can love find a way?

Meet the Naughty Princess Club, a series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that brings readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that three women fall into once they decide to strut their stuff and bring on their own happily ever after.

Living in her overprotective dad’s basement, shy Belle lives her life through books. Being a part of the Naughty Princess Club is the first adventure she’s ever had, plus she desperately needs the money to save one of her favorite places - the local library.

But when her new friends and new business gets her kicked out of her dad’s house, Belle is rescued by the surly Vincent “Beast” Adams who invites her to be his house guest until she gets back on her feet. Despite his attitude problem and long list of rules, Belle finds herself warming to the muscled man with a penchant for growling and starts seeing a gentle side to him that wasn’t there before.

Yet there’s a room that Beast keeps locked and Belle keeps getting hints that Beast is hiding something…can a nerdy librarian tame the beast or will their romance be over before it has a chance to blossom?

Review:

This book was just plain fun to read. The story was fun, the characters were fun and even the dialogue was fun. I always say if a book can make me laugh out loud while reading it is a keeper, this one definitely did that. The blurb above gives a good gist to the whole story, so I won't repeat it all. I will give more of my feelings of the story. Besides having fun reading this, it gave me a light heart. I mean Belle and Beast do have their issues and obstacles that they have to overcome, but it is a feel good story.

I have not read this Author before, but because I enjoyed this so much I will definitely be seeking out the other book in the series and her other works. Since I have not read this Author or the first book in series I was not sure if I would be lost or confused, but this can totally be read as a stand alone.

A fun, unique and entertaining take on Beauty and the Beast.

5Stars

Belle is the librarian and younger for the three women who met in the first book in the series. She's been raised by her father after her mother passed. And now that the's in her 20's she's still treated like a teenager. She has to sneak in and out of her own home.

One such night, Belle is sneaking in through the window when her father catches her. After an argument, he tells her to leave if she continues to hang around Cindy and Ariel. So she moves into the library, which she runs.

Soon after, Beast, who works as a bouncer at the club owned by PJ, starts coming into the library about an hour before closing. Soon he's convinced Belle to move into his spare room at his home and has gotten out of her that she's changed and grown since Meeting Cindy and Ariel, that her father threw her out, and that she will make it as a stripper.

Belle finds out that Beast aka Vincent, once was an English teacher and engaged to a stripper who cheated on him. This has contributed to his behavior and attitude. But when Belle asks him to teach her how to be sexy and attract men, he agrees. But does Beast have ulterior motives, what are they and how will Belle react?

There were some LOL moment that had me crying as Tara Sivec often does. But I didn't love this one as much as the first book in the series or other books buy this author. A few things lagged here and there. But that just meant it wouldn't get a full 5 star.

I am very curious as to why Ariel wasn't the next one to strip since she's so outgoing and sometimes crass. I'm looking forward to her book.
