Can be read as a standalone, I enjoyed the first one in the series, And with this as well. Characters were fantastic, I liked Belle, her friends as always are hilarious. Beast is a broody bearded male, Vincent is a security guard at Charming. and he is so fun to read about. I liked him a lot. Even though you can read this as a standalone, but I would still recommend you reading the one before it as well. Belle is so shy and awkward you cant not love her. Slow burn at its best, with the best humour you can read, I cant wait for Ariel's book.

Belle is a book nerd. She works in a library and that’s her dream job. She lives in her dad’s basement and though she’s an adult, he is extremely overprotective of her. When she met her two best friends, Cindy and Ariel, she never imagined she’d be starting a stripping business with them, but it happened. She’s a bit anxious to actually do that stripping but she’s working on her confidence. When she gets kicked out of her house by her dad she doesn’t want to bother her friends and ends up sleeping in the library. She’s saved from that by an unlikely source – a man named Beast who works at the local strip club as a bouncer.

Beast, whose real name is Vincent, is completely besotted with Belle. He takes her home and sets her up in his spare bedroom. Despite his form of communication aka grunting, Belle finds him charming. He shows her with deeds what a good guy he is. They manage to have some hot interactions but Belle’s not sure if he’s just trying to help her with her confidence or not. Belle is soon falling in love but when a secret that Beast is hiding comes out her belief in happily ever after is put to the test.

This was another great story in the Naughty Princess Club series. I really loved Belle and her awkwardness. She spouts statistics and little tidbits of knowledge when she gets nervous and I found it charming.

This book was in first person POV so of course we didn’t get any info from Beast, which was disappointing. Beast had a hidden past that comes out (a good one!) and I would have loved to have known his thoughts on a lot of things that happened in the book. Alas, it was not to be. Despite that I thought he was a great guy who had serious communication issues. He came through in the end, however so that was a plus.

This is definitely a romance between Beast and Belle, but it’s also sort of a coming-of-age story involving a 24-year-old. That seems a bit odd, I know, but Belle had never really come out of her shell. She’d been protected by her dad all her life and her friends were the ones she read about in books. She did go to college and get her master’s degree, but I got the impression that she lived at home that whole time. Meeting and befriending Cindy and Ariel were the first steps in getting her to be her own person. I loved reading about how she was taking things step by step to change her life and lead it the way she wanted to lead it and doing it in her own way.

Overall I really liked this story – just as much as I liked the first book in this series, At the Stroke of Midnight. If you’d like to read a couple of fun, contemporary romances then these are two I recommend picking up.

What a fun story, a reimagined story of Beauty and the Beast with Belle/Isabelle and Beast/Vincent. Isabelle’s best friends are Cindy and Ariel and they form a stripping business to make money. Which causes Isabelle’s overprotective Dad to kick her out. For reasons unknown to Isabelle, Vincent offers to let her stay with him and she reluctantly agrees. Innocent Isabelle convinces her friends and Vincent to help her be sexy and flirty so she can do more than just paperwork for their business. Along the way they fall in love. Vincent’s lies of omission come back to bite him in the butt when they are revealed. After Isabelle moves out she finds out she might need to save him from her overprotective Dad and her friends. When she arrives all is well (sneaky family and friends) and Vincent makes his grand gesture to prove his love.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review.

I have to say the title is what caught my eye, cover is cute and the blurb just looks so enchanting. I mean this is a fairy tale rendition....right. Naughty princesses.... oh my.

Second in a series and sadly I did not read the first. I'm guessing Cinderella....Beauty and the Beast...and lastly the little mermaid. Cindy, Belle, and Arielle make up the trio of dirty princesses. This is considered in my book... as simple humor. I'm not a big fan of this type of humor because it feels like reality tv and not something I can get lost in. Even still.. the author made it clever and witty. It reminds me of those humorous Janet Evanovich books. It's just a humor I don't get. Belle confronts the beast in this one and it's a similar to the fairy tale. Add in a strip club, a wayward father, a huge sexy beast, crazy bestie's , and a fairytale ending. You get the point. Just be ready for some crazy satirical humor, and some nerdy fun. She also has a googles worth of facts to present you with when she gets nervous....which is a bunch.

Thanks Netgalley for a crazy read. Four stars of entertainment!

Not a stand alone!

I had no idea what was happening even just 10 pages into - too many names too quickly, too many moving pieces. I could not connect with anyone and therefore could not connect with the work.

This was light and fluffy and I completely enjoyed it. If you’re looking for something that makes you smile and is slightly on the ridiculous side (though this isn’t a bad thing in my opinion!) then definitely check out this book.

This is the first novel by Tara Sivec that I have read, and I will definitely check out more of her stuff. I am a big fan of the Beauty and the Beast theme, and this was a cute twist that had strippers, crazy friends and a hot hero to boot.

4 stars for a fun little romp.

I really liked this book, it was a fun, enjoyable and humorous read. One of the things that I liked about the story was how the characterizations evolved throughout the book. At the beginning of the book Belle was a shy librarian who as her story progressed became more confident. On the other hand, the character of Beast learned to be more open as opposed to closed off. I liked the relationship dynamic between Beast and Belle! I am glad I was able to read an advance copy of this book, I enjoyed it!

I really didn't know what to expect with one. I also didn't know this was apart of a series when I requested it on NetGalley. It sounded like it was going to be a cute retelling of Beauty and the Beast (which is one of my favorite Disney movies). While it was cute, nobody prepared me for Disney princesses as strippers!

Did that shock you? Because it sure did shock the hell out of me! Once the shock wore off, it was good! Belle was adorable and was a walking encyclopedia and Vincent (Beast was his nickname) was so broody and I liked him. I was laughing most of the time I was reading this book, it was hilarious!

"Um, I know him. Kind of. What is he doing here? I whisper to Mrs. Potter as we both continue staring at Beast.
"I believe what he's doing is called reading. I've heard it's all the rage in this building we call a library," she whispers back.

I enjoyed the relationship between Belle and Vincent. They both caused each other to grow and to want more in life. Belle ended up stand up for herself and getting some confidence. Vincent learned to open up because he was very closed off. As much as he didn't want to be labeled a hero, he sure was dreamy like one.

"I'm nobody's hero, princess. And this isn't a fairytale."

While it's not going to be a favorite of mine, it was hilarious and was a good book to kick back with. If you can get past the stripper part, I would give this a read!

Book 2 in this series that I’m loving so much. I love the twists on my favourite Disney movies, and Belle and Beast are just perfect, I wasn’t expecting the author to be able to better book 1, but I’m happy to say she most certainly nailed it. A little more on the serious side, this story sees Belle leaving home and living in the library she’s worked at for 9 years, a library she’s desperate to save from closure. When Vincent ‘Beast’ Adams comes along and sweeps her off her feet and to his fairytale cottage, Belle starts getting ideas of ‘more’, Beast soon quelled those thoughts though, warning her away from him. This book can be read as a standalone, but with all the hilarious characters from book 1, along with a few additions, I just adored Mrs Potter, it makes sense to read these books in sequence. A cute, sexy read with some funny moments, lovely writing and lots of chemistry. I am so looking forward to getting stuck in to the next book. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

In Bed with the Beast by Tara Sivec is book Two in The Naughty Princess Club. This is the story of Belle and Vincent “Beast”. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book. I will say that I enjoyed this one so much that I really wished I had read the previous book just to get that extra background on the characters in this book.
Belle is money challenged because she is trying to save the library she runs. All her money goes it keep it going but the board is wanting to shut it down. Belle and her two friends each have personal issues that they need money for so they came up with The Naughty Princess Club to Princess strip parties to get money. But Bell is shy and bookish so she is struggling to get an 'education' on seduction. Vincent is the bouncer at a strip club that they are friends with the owner and now Vincent is making it a habit to come into the library at closing to see Belle. Vincent offers his place for her to stay when she has a fallen out with her dad and is living at the library.
This opens them both up to learning more about each other...but Vincent isn't as up front as he should be on why he is befriending Belle.
Really enjoyed their story!!

Have you ever thought that Belle from Beauty & The Beast was your soul mate? Pretty sure you and her could be besties in real life?
Then this is the book for you!
This real life adaptation with a twist of your classic fairytale is the second book in The Naughty Princess Club series. Belle is a quirky girl with her nose in a book. Always taking notes and trying to relate real life to everything she’s read.
Which does not fit the ideal mold for the Naughty Princess Club.
Beast is much like his animated counterpart. But only hotter.
There’s more to him than meets the eye.
Both people prove to be more than what first impressions imply.
You enjoy discovering what’s beneath the surfaces of these people as the story unfolds.
This book is full of funny situations and true raw hot passion.
Don’t skip this second book of a totally naughty series.

I usually doesn't read fairytale retellings because I am not attracted to fairytale stories much, but this one was cute and funny. "In bed with the beast" is the retelling of Beauty aka Isabelle and Beast aka Vincent.

Belle was a weirdo. She was a bookworm and liked to say random facts when it wasn't necessary, and this made me laugh sometimes but frown other times. I liked her enough because she was awkward and didn't take herself easily, but there was something missing... maybe she needed more personality, I don't know. Sometimes her actions and her thoughts were contradicting.

Beast was weird as well, but for other reasons. He was the closed off bouncer of a nightclub and didn't talk much. I would have preferred more talking and more actions, or maybe his POV, because sometimes it didn't seem like he was into Isabelle like she seemed to be into him.

Overall, the story was very funny and we see various characters from the original story making an appearence in comic-worthy situations. I liked Cindy and Ariel a lot because they added more humor to the story, but sometimes I found their strip club idea meh.

4 Stars...

Belle wants an adventure outside of the books she loves so much. In In Bed with the Beast she gets that and more. Belle finds love. But she will also go through some trials including sadness with a bit of heartache. She will even learn how to bring out her inner stripper, lol. Belle was such an adorable character. Some of the scenes in this book had me laughing out loud. And while Belle finds the courage to step outside of her norm, she will make some mistakes. Nope, Belle is not perfect.

Vincent (Beast), was not an open book. He was gruff, rude and bossy. Difficult for anyone to like. But that was just how he wanted it. Vincent didn't need or want friends other than the two he had at work. People stayed away from him due to the "stay away from me or else" vibes that he exuded. However, Belle was not afraid of Vincent. Intimidated maybe but not afraid. He was tall, gorgeous and built like a brick wall. He never smiled or gave any indication he wanted to do more than glare. But almost from the beginning Belle saw through his gruff exterior. Not only that, Vincent helped her to find the courage to stand up for herself and take charge of her life. Belle may have been sweet, kind, loyal and innocent in many ways but I would never call her a pushover. Naive yes, but not gullible.

In addition to watching Belle flourish, Vincent was able find happiness with her. This says a lot because he doesn't trust people.

This book was well written and I read through it in a few hours . Vincent has a secret which to my delight, I didn't guess about. That isn't usually the case. Being loosely based on the fairytale classic Beauty and the Beast, you can make your own predictions. I found this book enjoyable, witty, sexy, and ridiculously funny. Belle and her friends together are a unique dynamic.

I haven't yet read book one of this series yet, but I'd love to. In addition, they is a book three that will come as well. Looking forward to that.

This is my honest and unbiased review. That you for taking the time to read it. :)

**3.5 Stars**

So I have to say, this book was adorable. It was totally kitschy and pretty cheesy at moments, but it was actually a pretty fun read. I had no idea what to expect when the words stripper, princess, and librarian were put together, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Belle was pretty naive but still strong. There were moments where her innocence was a little annoying, but I liked that she branched out and grew as a person. Her determination to be a stripper was pretty hilarious given the the type of person she was.

Beast, or Vincent, was a sweet guy, despite his name. I feel like his character was a bit underdeveloped though. I wanted more back story from him and I also wanted more significant interactions between him and Belle. That is part of the reason why I bumped my rating down a half a star. We had a lot of fade to black and "this happens in the past" moments and I wish they would have been expanded upon.

Overall, sure I do recommend this book. It was cute and fun and a very interesting re-telling of an old fairy tale. I'm excited for Ariel's book because she was probably my favorite character out of the three women.

I loved Vincent! He’s super sweet and thoughtful with a side of grumpy sexiness I found positively alluring! And when I learned his actual name, I also ceased thinking of him as his moniker Beast. Instead I was flash-backing to all those tv episodes of Beauty and the Beast with Linda Hamilton and Ron Pearlman. I crushed on that show so hard! It was also one of my favorite beauty and the beast remakes.

Anyhoo...back on track...

Isabelle...Good gravy was that girl a nerdy hot mess or what?! She’s a shy and really nice girl trying to learn to be a stripper to earn funds to save her library. I did have to stop and think about the revenue option for a minute-and then proceeded to laugh my way through her antics. Her way of learning was heartfelt and cute, with sometimes embarrassing results, but she had the guts to go out and doing something about her situation. I had to respect the logic!

What really sucked me into the book was Belle’s colorful, loyal besties, especially Ariel. She’s loudmouthed, extremely opinionated, curses like a sailor, and does not know the concept of fear. I can’t wait to see what kind of fireworks happen with her book!

Overall, I thought the romance was sweet, the storyline highly amusing, and the characters absolutely entertaining!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s hard to give the modern fairytale retelling a pass in my case—sucker that I am for all of spins and takes we can possibly have on them—which is why ‘In Bed with the Beast’ was one that I was eager to get my hands on.

In this case, it’s about a librarian and a bouncer, aka, Belle and the Beast, the supposedly shy librarian and the surly bouncer. Throw in the home stripping business that 3 women have started into the mix and I was beyond intrigued at this risqué proposition and take on the fairytale.

But this didn’t start off well for me, with characters generally behaving like hormonal tweens to the extent where I had to relook their ages. A smothered Belle, who was 25 and her father, who spoke like a man who’d regressed into childhood. Her friends, who didn’t behave much better, with exaggerated actions and reactions to every single thing you know can only appear in rom-coms and nowhere else.

In short, what I suspect was supposed to have been the book’s selling point—the craziness of the 3 good friends—grated on and fell flat for me. The humour and the liberal use of capital letters in the storytelling just made it feel a lot more juvenile than it should have been for characters well into their twenties: Belle’s hyperbolic inner monologues, the shrill petulance of her reactions, the spouting random facts just didn’t make me laugh at all; neither did the unbelievable antics of her 2 other friends which involved a bit of slapstick stuff and the overly dramatic behaviour that was more eye-rolling than funny.

In the end, I couldn’t find myself interested in these characters at all and only the mysterious, gruff Vincent Adams and his secret locked door kept me trudging (or skimming) on. But seeing as I couldn’t wait to get this over with, it’s clearly not the read for me.

Whenever I need a pick me up I know that Tara Sivec will deliver. She’s known for her quirky and hilarious love stories. I’ve been a fan for years and she finally put two things together nobody else would do, strippers and Disney princesses. Belle is my favorite princess so this was just what the story I wanted.

You will LOL and ROFL, reading Tara Sivec is a unique experience. Her writing is comedic gold. I can’t wait for book 3. I also didn’t read book 1 and that didn’t hinder the experience of this story. I will go back and read it though!

This was an overall cute but zany story and I did really like the take on the Beauty and the Beast, however I wasn't as charmed as I was with the first book despite liking both characters individually and the romance aspect because the book felt a little too quirky in its plot and development.

I enjoyed this book, as I do all of TS's books, however I didn't love it as much as her other works. I was more interested in the 3rd set of characters. This fell slightly flat for me, still a great read and I will continue to read, gotta say so far her chocolate series has been an epic favorite that I continue to re-read all the time.

A very entertaining modern version of Beauty and the Beast. Isabelle is a nerdish librarian and Beast (real name Vincent) is a bouncer at strip club. Belle needs money to save her library and Vincent needs saving but it isn’t honest about what he needs causing Belle to be distrustful of him.
Tara Sivec can spin can make the most hilarious moment into true romance and I love it. Top off some hot sexy cuddling in the library with a friend hitting on the silver fox dad and then send him a stripper gram. It was hilarious, sexy, and romantic all at the same time.
I want more can't wait to read Ariel's Story.
