2nd chances are the core of this story, hidden amidst the detailed workings of hidden agendas and intrigue, secret agents and a madman. Seriously enjoyable and the characters are captivating, I found myself lost in the story, something that doesn’t happen often, and unable to put the book down.

The book’s description tells you enough about the book that I will not give more details in case I give away too much, through my need to share – Instead, I will highly recommend this book.

So good. Series killers and fbi agents. Secret babies and murder. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. It's intense and captivating. The characters are relatable and loveable. And the plot is engaging and exciting

It seems like she should tell her coworkers she has a baby, since her job is so dangerous. Then again, maybe not.

Poor Pepperidges

El Stupido.

She's not sure if she loved him?

The dockmaster would be too easy.

Thank God, Deming! Don't make me put a chip on you.

His father really messed him up.

This killer is even creepier than most, in how he chooses his victims.

Seriously, night shift cops? What people will do when there's free food around...

Son of a cracker! I did not see that coming!

I'd kill the perp just for making her miss moments in her baby's life.

I'm with her. The man says it first, Jack.

Must. Have. Next. Book.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Catch A Killer is the second in a series and can be read as a stand alone novel. The cat and mouse game aka the mystery is pretty obvious but the authors ability to write 3D characters bring her vision to life is what will keep readers reading. The story flows from page to page as reader connect with the cast of characters.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Kensington Books, Lyrical Liaison for the advance copy of Kris Rafferty Catch A Killer

"Catch a Killer" is Secret Agents #2 by Kris Rafferty. This works well as a stand alone even though it notes it as part of a series. First view of this author's work and I must say it was quite good. In depth character building of not only the main couple but also others included. Special Agent Hannah Cambridge is an FBI agent working in the Boston office. She is finally attempting to rebuild herself after the death of her partner and lover Jack Benton. Plot flowed and I kept turning the pages to find out who was the person they Named the MERCY KILLER! Crime mystery with heart. No Cliffhangers and a HEA is achieved. "A copy of this book was provided by Kensington Books via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Hannah Cambridge has lost a lot in a short time. She may have been on the fast track in her career but her partner, and secret boyfriend, was killed in the line of duty. She lost her lover and the father of her little girl. But she is determined to keep her daughter safe, she isn't sure if anyone will still be looking for them.

A new job in Boston is jut what she needs but how can she integrated into the team when she is keeping such a big secret from them. But when the task force receives a new agent she is poleaxed to find that it is said dead partner!

Jack Benton didn't know that Hannah had been told that he had died, he thought she had been clued in on his undercover job. But he is going to try and put things right with her. But how will he react when he realises that he a father?

I have to admit I didn't fall in love with Hannah straight off. She was so manipulative of her situation. I do get why she wanted to hide her daughter but realistically how long could she carry that off? Jack and Hannah did have a previously fragile relationship mainly due to the fact that they were both too pig-headed to admit they loved each other!

However I did come around and I enjoyed the story, I especially loved the baddie! I did not see that twist coming!

Catch a Killer, is a good "who did it" novel. I guessed it early on but kept doubting it.
Hannah deserved a happy ending, she is my favorite character. Jack is just the lucky guy to give it to her.

Poor Hannah, she has had one bad thing happen after another but she’s still hanging in there when her whole world gets turned upside down. This was a good read, plenty of suspense to go with hot romance.
