This is a good murder mystery with a touch of psychological thriller, first published in 2014. Jordan leaves New York City for Maine when she inherits a house from an unknown uncle. When she arrives, the murders in the small town start and she must figure out her family's past to prevent her own death. This is the first Kim Carter book I've read and she does a good job of holding your interest with a well thought out plot and clues. Part of the G Street Chronicles series, it is a perfect stand alone story. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

I really liked and enjoyed this storyline. Lots of twists and turns, a great thriller. I did have a few issues with how many points of view there were in the book. It seems like almost every chapter was written by the perspective of a different town resident, but in the long run this seemed to work, it got out some important bits that we needed to know to further the story. Jordan seemed to have inherited everyone’s fantasy, a mansion on a cliff with unlimited funds, but why is a serial killer suddenly in this small town, will Jordan live to enjoy her new home. All in all, a very enjoyable summer read.

Jordan Maxwell, a twenty-seven-year-old freelance journalist, ventures to New York City to make a name for herself. With both of her parents dead, she struggles to get by living in one of the worst neighborhoods in the city. In a twist of fate, Jordan finds herself the sole heir to her great-uncle’s estate in Solomon Cove, Maine.
Then murders start to happen and the police are looking into a serial killer. I had an idea who the killer was but I didn't know why. I could not put this down and read it in one day.

Jordan Maxwell had originally moved to New York to make a name for herself as freelance journalist. However, her great-uncle, recently deceased, has left her his massive estate in Maine. As Jordan is packing for the move there, her neighbor is brutally stabbed. After seeing about her neighbor in the hospital, Jordan moves. Her life is about to change in more ways than one

The small town, Solomon Cove in Maine, is a post-card town, as idyllic as they come, yet a woman's body is found on the beach. Other bodies are found in quick succession. Jordan begins to wonder if the murders are somehow connected to her and to her extended family. What's more, Jordan believes that she may be the next target.

When Dawn Never Comes is a reissue and for that I'm thankful because I wouldn’t have has the chance to read it otherwise. The story draws the reader in and has an amazing twist. Why is Jordan connected? The discovery is stunning, making this book impossible to put down!

Many thanks to NetGalley and to Raven South Publishing for this book to review.

I truly enjoyed When Dawn Never Comes by Kim Carter. When we meet Jordan she is getting ready to move into her Uncle's Mansion hours away from her home in New York. She has many questions as to why she has inherited this large Estate. As Jordon prepares to move murders begin to happen in the small town she is moving to. Are these events connected? This mystery was difficult to put down so i completed it in two days. This is a book about family and the people who touch our lives. The characters all seemed so real and very likable. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story. It is great to read something that does not contain explicit sex or graphic violence.
