Omg!! Loved loved reading this sexy sweet hilarious book! ❤ A bit sad for saying goodbye to the gang though .
Loved Hunter and Brit's story and how they turned from best friends to lovers and much more.

Brit and Hunter are best friends -- working together at the magazine Oxford, they became close and have been significant in each other's lives ever since. While everyone else always wondered when they'd get together, Hunter and Brit are comfortable in their friendship. That all changes when Brit finds herself dumped, again, and left wondering what exactly she's doing wrong to make herself so "unlovable". So she turns to Hunter for help -- as her guru of seduction. She wants him to teach her how to land a guy and keep him. But what turns out as advice between friends turns into each of them wanting more, yet afraid to ruin the best friendship either has ever had.

Thoughts: I've read a few of Lauren Layne's books and this one just didn't have the usual "zeal". Brit and Hunter are great together and their chemistry jumps off the page, but their adversion to looking at one another as anything other than a friend starts to get a bit insulting, to be honest. They clearly care a lot of each other and their friendship obviously means a lot to both of them, but it takes way too long in the plot for either of them to admit to any kind of deep-seated feelings that it almost makes it hard to believe that they really do feel anything other than friendship and lust. So much of the plot is spent on them avoiding talking about their feelings and committing to anything real between them that it was difficult to suspend disbelief when the conflict is resolved. Also, Hunter's family faces a major health crisis towards the end of the novel and it's totally brushed aside in favor of Brit's feelings when he waits a few days before telling her. I thought the story was very skewed in Brit's favor, in a way that was very unfair and unrealistic to Hunter, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. But the silver lining was the passion between these two characters -- their chemistry was great and their friendship was fun to read.

Lauren Layne soars in her latest, I THINK I LOVE YOU. The fifth and final Oxford book is a friends to lovers story with humor, passion, and a couple you want to root for. A best friend will do anything for you... and that’s why Brit Robbins asked her best friend a not-so-little favor: teach her how to seduce a man. There’s just one little problem: they might just fall in love first.

No one does Contemporary romance better than Lauren Layne. Layne outdoes herself with each release. The final Oxford book is everything we’ve come to expect from its predecessors: friendship, wit, humor, a touch of sass, and of course, happily-ever-after. I THINK I LOVE YOU is the perfect end to a great series.

4 stars — This was a solid Lauren Layne romance, and a great end to the series.

It’s been quite a while since I read a book by Ms. Layne actually, and I’ve even been on a bit of a contemporary romance hiatus as of late. I will admit that there was some super small judgey stuff near the beginning that threw me off and made me realize maybe I’m not in the right mode, but then as I got into Hunter and Brit’s relationship, I settled in and gobbled up the book in a day. It was just easy, with a LOT of chemistry.

I actually really enjoyed the premise, with Brit being the one being friend-zoned. So often it’s the guy, and I loved that twist. I also really enjoyed that prior to this, Brit and Hunter truly did have *just* a best friendship. They had just never allowed themselves to think of it any other way, but there were no unrequited feelings on one end hanging in the background. That was refreshing too.

They were actually pretty cute together — so comfortable, but when pushed out of their zones, HOLY WOW did the chemistry come out in spades! I LOVED their progression to more, and could definitely feel their connection from friendship to more.

They both had some bone-headed moments here and there while navigating this change, but I liked that in general they didn’t hide things from each other for long, and that the conflict wasn’t dragged out past my tolerance. It was actually easy in the end, just like them.

As always it was super fun to see all the Oxford and Stiletto peeps popping in and out. I really enjoy the friendships they all developed with one another, and it comes across in their bantering and teasing.

I honestly don’t know why I sat on this one so long…I think I just got distracted by other books. But it was nice to revisit these characters and finally see it all tied up.

I thought this one was a super interesting addition to Layne's Oxford series; Hunter and Brit are genuinely friends, and it shows. It's debatable whether this type of friendship actually works between two single good-looking people of the opposite sex in the real world, but it's fun to read about a fictional friendship like this one. Both characters avoid being caricatures which I also appreciate; no man-whores or desperately seeking single women here.

4.5 stars.

I forgot how much I miss and love this whole crew.

Hunter and Brit are best friends and, of course, neither one of them sees they could be more than friends. Even though everyone else around them thinks it’s more than obvious.

I loved Hunter and Brit’s friendship. I love that even though they did encounter certain roadblocks in their relationship, they never let these things get in the way too long. They always sought each other out, even when it was uncomfortable. They were already such amazing friends and you can feel that connection from the very beginning.

I of course loved all their meddling friends and I’m sad I’ve reached the end of this series.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved this book about two friends who “help” each other our and in the end find out that the one right in front of them is the one they are looking for. Brit and Hunter will capture your heart and have you rooting for them even when they are acting like idiots. Definitely a must read!

Love Lauren Layne’s writing style, she’s an automatic one click author for me. This story was great to read. The dialogue is my favorite part.

oh my goodness this Oxford series by Lauren Layne is superb! and while I Think I Love You is an okay book, but a poor ending to an outstanding series, which I loved.

There is the sizzle between Hunter and Brit, but it's not just quite right, the jokey banter that they had in previous books, just doesn't quite mesh in this book. But we do get to see the old Oxford/Stiletto crew and that is awesome.

Overall I Think I Love You is an ok book, but a disappointing ending to an outstanding series.

Have you ever been introduced to an author, and you love their work so much that you just need to devour every single one of her books? I devoured Lauren Layne’s Sex, Love & Stiletto’s series along with her Oxford series. Both series are very much intertwined. I recommend starting with her Sex, Love & Stiletto series first. So, so good!!! I had all nine books read in a week!! I was an obsessed woman on a mission! Ask my poor kiddos….

I Think I Love You is the last book in the Oxford series. So, of course, I had to read all nine books! I mean, why not?!?!

Lauren Layne’s Sex, Love & Stiletto series focuses on four women who work for a woman’s magazine set in New York City. The Oxford series is a spinoff of the Sex, Love & Stiletto series. It focused on the men of the Oxford magazine, the little brother of the Sex, Love & Stiletto series (although the men of Oxford would never say that….). All the characters intertwine between the two series. Eighteen young, powerful people in the city who end up falling in love with their perfect person. What is there not to love?!?!

I Think I Love You was hard for me. Not because of the storyline, but because I knew that this was the last book in the series. I miss ALL of these characters so much!!! They took up a week of my life! I wanted to read this book slow and savor every single character.

Lauren Layne has a special gift when writing. She brings in my favorite subject, FASHION, and mixes in love and money. It’s the perfect combo to get my heart racing. She writes very much like Christy Pastore. (Side note, if you haven’t read her, you are missing out!) Both have become an instant one-click author for me.

I kind of don’t feel like I can sum up this book for you, simply because I have so much love for the entire series, that my review ends up being about the series. All I will say, over and over again, is that you all NEED Lauren Layne in your life!! I am so glad that my blog partner introduced me to her. She is fantastic!! And her characters will life in your heart forever.

LOVED this one! Lauren Layne is such an exceptional writer with sexy, witty banter. Her characters have a way with their words to keep the story going at a nice, even pace. In fact, this title caused me to pick up older books in this series because I wanted more!

Brit was absolutely hilarious! Every encounter with Hunter is something you could identify with and feel how Hunter completed her in every way. She was done with endless dates and being considered not good enough. Who could help in the art of seduction? Hunter. He understood her like no one else. What started as an arrangement quickly became so much more.

Such a sweet, sassy, and sizzling story!🔥

Friends to lovers is my absolute favorite trope! I especially love when one of the characters is trying to teach the other how to be successful in the dating world... this is the fifth and final installment in the series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone.... although there are many cameo appearances from previous characters in both the Oxford and Stiletto series...

Brit has not been successful when it comes to romance in New York... she is successful at her job, but she’s tired of being just one of the guys... Hunter has no trouble in the romance department, but he knows his days in New York are numbered, so he doesn’t want to leave any loose ends behind... when Brit approaches Hunter for dating advice he is definitely intrigued... i’m sure you all know where this is going? But how will these to ever find their HEA when Hunter’s time in NYC is limited?

Love both these characters Brit and Hunter, they are both a lot of fun and authentic! I also love all the secondary characters in this book, old and new.... Lauren Lane knows how to turn on the heat, so if you’re not into steam this is not the book for you!

A wonderful romance that will make you smile and swoon! Absolutely recommend! But only if you like things to sizzle!🔥

I THINK I LOVE YOU - Lauren Layne

#5 in the Oxford romance series

FRIENDS TO LOVERS - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - Brit is everybody's friend, but she's starting to feel that she is just that--a friend to everyone--never having lover or happily-ever-after potential. So she asks her girlfriends for help. They suggest she ask her best guy friend Hunter to teach her about seduction. Do they have an ulterior motive in mind?

Writing - 4 stars - I'm a huge Lauren Layne fan, and this book meets all my favorite criteria. She has the ability to see into my mind and create exactly the kind of characters and scenario that will capture my attention. She builds the sexual tension until the breaking point, then she writes hot combustible romantic scenes that are very satisfying to the reader.

Characters - 4.5 stars - As always, Layne creates extremely attractive and personable characters. As part of the Stiletto and Oxford series, both Brit and Hunter have already been introduced, and their personalities fit right in. Hunter is well-adjusted, family-oriented, attractive (of course), all-around nice guy. Brit, who works for him, is also very appealing. We see her vulnerability as she wonders why she can't seem to find a long-term relationship. She's open and friendly and just wants what everyone else at Stiletto and Oxford seem to have.

Title - 5 stars - The title really works, based on the whole premise of the story. Brit and Hunter have been best friends for years, but now things have changed and they're not sure where they stand with each other.

Cover - 5 stars - Layne tends to choose covers that are not the typical romantic genre type. In this case, there's a sexy almost-kiss, and the hero is wearing glasses--very hot!

Overview - 4.5 stars - As is always the case with Layne books, I was mesmerized right from the start. It helps, of course, that this is a continuation of a great series, so I was already familiar with the main characters as well as all of the secondary ones. Hunter and Brit are friends, comfortable with each other, and very close. But something's changed recently in their relationship, mostly as a result of Brit asking Hunter to help her learn the art of seduction. As the "lessons" continue, they both find that they are considering each other in a different, more romantic way. Since they have always thought of themselves as friends, this is new and scary. But hot! The sexual tension built for more than half the book, then the sexy scenes were steamy and satisfying. I always love the camaraderie between the Oxford characters, and this book was no exception. I liked the ending which wrapped up the entire two series in a nice but not over-the-top way. And I definitely look forward to more excellent writing from Lauren Layne.

This was a super cute book! I'm a sucker for the friends turned to lovers trope and this one did not disappoint! It was also nice that the characters from the other books in the series made cameos here!
