This may be book 3 in a series but trust me you can just jump right into it and have a fab time reading it. A hot and sexy but damaged alpha male goes up against a dangerous mission and a woman who certainly manages to get under his skin. Seriously great chemistry in this book, and very sexy at times you can feel the sexual tension rippling off the pages. Great action scenes enhance the relationship between the lead characters and also add extra tension to their burgeoning relationship. Go read this book if you like danger, alpha men and sexual tension/romance.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my opinion. Thank you!

Out of the 3 books in this series, this was the one that I liked the best. I thought that Cabe and Amy complemented each other so well. I liked how strong Amy was. She's my favorite out of all the women in the series. Amy's her own person and I loved how Cabe recognized that. I also especially liked how there wasn't too much high-angst pining on Cabe's part over his dead fiancée.

I thought this story was a satisfying conclusion to the overall mystery/suspense angle. And fans of the series will love getting to see Six & Lou and Mac & Delaney again. I know I enjoyed "visiting" with them once more.

Note: This is a stand-alone book but I would definitely say that it's still best to read the first two books in the series prior to diving into this story. There are elements to the plot of this one that are definitely related to events that happened in books 1 & 2.

FBI agent Amy was a great character who grew up with a father who was a pit boss in Vegas and knew the industry well. Cabe was another great character and an ex navy seal who worked for a private security group and had a past of losing a fiancé to an IED. The two have to work together on a joint task force where Amy went undercover as a card dealer. Lots of action and suspense with great chemistry and some steam. This was a great read. I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received from Netgallery.

I loved this book. I literally could not stop reading. I had to know what happened. There were so many amazing moments in this book. It was a fairly quick read but it was all plot. This author really knows how to keep you on your toes. I mean there was so much drama and romance it was so good!!! I really loved how Cabe met Amy. I liked they were both in dangerous lines of work. I felt like it was a nice relief from the Macho hero saving the helpless woman. It was nice to see Amy working right along side Cabe. I loved the tension between them. Amy and Cabe had an obvious connection but the job was important to both. They both had reasons in their past to want to see the job get done and not get involved with each other. I loved all of the background characters. Six and Mac were hilarious. I really enjoyed them. I can´t wait to read more by this author. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good romance!

Deep Cover is the third book in Love Over Duty series by Scarlett Cole. I didn't read first two books but the blurb of Deep Cover sounded very promising, so I decided to give it a chance. I liked this book and didn't feel lost or confused for not reading other two books in the series. Deep Cover is an entertaining, action-packed romantic suspense story with likable characters, interesting plot and very compelling love story. I don't always enjoy romantic suspense but I thoroughly enjoyed Deep Cover.

Deep cover is the third and last volume in the Love over duty series by Scarlett Cole. I couldn’t wait for this story especially because of Cabe Moss, the hero, also the last ex-Navy Seal who works in Eagle Securities. Indeed, Cabe was the most strict about the respect of the rules and he was absolutely against some relationship between the other heroes and their soul mate who also happened to be their client. So I’ve been dying to see him fall head over heals for someone. And we can say he falls hard and fast.

The story starts some time after the end of Final siege and one of the villains of the all series is always hard to find. In this book, our heroes have finally the opportunity to apprehend him by collaborating with other law-enforcements officers as FBI, CIA, local police… I loved this part of the book because in some romantic suspense novels, it seems that our heroes are alone against the world and I don’t find that very plausible during an investigation. The collobaration here means they have an accreditation to legally intervene. Cabe has to work undercover with an FBI agent. Amy Murray is the one he works with and he met her briefly at the beginning of the book.

The attraction is immediate and the hero doesn’t know how to fight against it. There are two obstacles to a possible relationship : the hero is still mourning his fiancee who died two years ago and he has a lot of difficulty in accepting his feelings for the heroine ; the second problem is that they work together and he doesn’t want to mix his private life and his professional life.
As for our heroine, she has some good reasons not to want to start something with Cabe but I won’t talk about it here.

The hesitations of our hero and heroine take a big part in the story then they have to find a solution for them to be together because of the investigation. So there are some hot scenes but late in the book but they are well described.

About the investigation, we have two plots : to find again the one who put the crew and the previous heroines in danger but also, with the FBI, to find informations about the sudden disappearance of young women. So there are less action in this movie because their main work is to observe and I found that was plausible.

I loved to see again the previous characters, I loved to see the support between all the characters and I absolutely loved to see Lou and Six again. These two are my favorites amongst Scarlett’s couples.

In conclusion, a volume up to my expectations and a series to read absolutely.

Book three in the Love Over Duty series is another wonderful fast paced suspense romance. Not only is this action packed and sexy, it also has a touch of humour. This story features alpha hero Cabe and his associate Amy. Great page turner and highly unputdownable

I received a copy from Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion

Well done Ms. Cole! Once again you weave the perfect amount of suspense with romance. I loved Amy and Cabe’s chemistry, and Cabe broke my heart a few times with all he had been through. He is an ex-Navy SEAL who lost his fiancé tragically and is having trouble moving on. Then Amy, an FBI agent comes along with past issues of her own but they are attracted to each other. But can they find a way to work through their issues so they can be together despite all the obstacles and the case they need to solve? This book was sexy, emotional and had an exciting storyline to go with it. I don’t want to give anything away in this review so you’ll just have to read it! I promise you won’t be disappointed! Romantic suspense at its best, I couldn’t put the book down!

This is the third book in the Love Over Duty series. While it can stand on its own, there is a over arcing plot that does stretch between the three books. Cabe Moss never expected to find love after losing his fiance during the war but when he meets Amy, he knows he might just be getting a second chance. But can Cabe handle seeing Amy put her life in danger as an FBI agent as he works on an undercover mission with her?
This was a very enjoyable novel of romantic suspense with characters that you just can't help rooting for as they work towards a HEA. Plenty of action with just enough romance to balance it out.

Another explosive installment in the Lover Over Duty series!

Cabe is the third founder member of Eagle Security and the one with the heaviest past. After his fiancee died on service he's kinda moved with the flow, not really being there.
Amy's past put her on the path of the FBI and this mission is everything for her, but after transfering she can't do anything that will put her possition at risk.

I loved how these two came together. Amy is such a great character! She's strong and fierce but we get to see a vulnerable side and a super girly part that I loved. She's determined to see this assignment through and willing to put her life on hold for it.
Cabe is the perfect guy! He respects Amy's wishes and does the job even when is killing him. Ireally enjoyed that even though he's an alpha male he trusts her and her skills and while he worries about her, he lets her do her job.

This book had me on the edge of my seat! Wondering what would happen, thinking about the connevtions and wondering if they would make it or not. I was rooting for the characters all along and while I wanted them together now, I understood their reasons for waiting and that little detail made it even better for me. The setting and their jobs made it for the perfect way to get to know and trust each other before anything else.

Deep Cover is a great addition to the series and the overall plot. We get to see the characters from the previous books and how they are living their lifes after getting their happy ever after. I can't wait to see what comes next!

Once again I have started a series at the end instead of the beginning. Fortunately it didn't matter at all.

Cade's fiancé died in an IED blast while patrolling. In this book we see his reactions during her birthday and on the anniversary of her death. The first frustrated me but I got it, the second brought me to tears. Ex-SEALs he and his two best friends have started a security company and are contracted on this case with the CIA because of the international implications.

Amy is an FBI agent who has recently transferred to San Diego, after having gone through the hell of sexual harassment and the aftermath of her accusation. She specializes in searches for missing women, for a very personal reason.

After an initial interaction that didn't end well, they certainly didn't expect run into each other again. Two separate cases with a common denominator. A casino, a venue that Amy is uniquely qualified to go in undercover. She will be looking for leads on the missing women with Cade as one of her backup as he looks for the money trail.

Fast paced and suspenseful as the pieces come start coming together. Plenty of heat between Cade and Amy as they try to remain professional without moving on their attraction. Once they give in it's explosive and just adds to the drama.

I now have to go back and read the other two books in this series. I really liked Mac and Six and their women. I need to read their stories.

In case anyone missed all of our “best of” lists that include Scarlett Cole, I’m a HUGE fan of her work. She’s one of the few authors I’ve found who can do rockstar romance that doesn’t irritate me, and other new adult romances that I don’t feel too old and grumpy to be reading. (The Strongest Steel is one of my all-time favorite reads in ANY category of romance, and I’ve read a crap-ton of romance, y’all. That’s saying something.)And while I don’t normally dig romantic suspense, that doesn’t include Ms. Cole, because I ADORE her Love Over Duty series. So, the fact that I loved Deep Cover should come as a surprise to exactly no one.

First of all, it’s important to note that you can read Deep Cover as a standalone, but I don’t recommend it. A few secondary characters in this book were primary characters in the first two books in the series, and you won’t enjoy seeing them if you haven’t read the first two books. They aren’t intrusive at all in this book, but as a fan of the series, seeing Six and Lou and Delaney and Mac was like visiting with old friends, and I wouldn’t want new readers to miss out on that feeling. So, long-story-short, read the whole series. Start with Under Fire. Sorry to be a hard ass about it, but, yeah...it is what it is. (*shrugs*)

My favorite part of the book, by far, was Amy. She’s a young agent in a man’s world, and she’s more than holding her own. She’s smart and tough and good at her job, and the case the team worked on wouldn’t have been successful without her. Fans of competence porn (the only kind of porn I enjoy), will love Amy.

Cabe is a perfectly balanced hero, as well. He’s protective and alpha, but still mindful and respectful of Amy’s competence and independence. He doesn’t boss her around or go all caveman on her, which I really appreciated about him. Given his past and how his previous relationship ended, he could’ve easily become a super over-protective jerkwad, but he didn’t. Kudos, Cabe. Kudos.

The barriers to these two finding their happily ever after are pretty straightforward, too. I loved that. They had some misunderstandings, sure, but they talked them out and communicated like adults at all times. I can’t even TELL you how much I appreciated THAT. If there’s one thing I can’t tolerate, it’s stupid misunderstandings in romance that could be easily cleared up with a single, adult conversation.

The action in the book was paced perfectly, too. That’s a must for romantic suspense, in my opinion. It’s one area where so many of the RS novels I’ve hated in the past fell down. This one has the perfect blend of suspense and romance, and the plot moves along swiftly.

So, no big surprise here, I’ll close out the review by reminding y’all how much I love this author. I know, I know...the gushing is getting embarrassing. Just go 1-click the book, OK? You won’t regret it.

Full disclosure: We received an ARC from NetGalley, free of charge.

Review copy was received from NetGalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
The Love Over Duty series concludes with the story of Cabe and Amy. It was great to see Six and Mac with their ladies again, too. Deep Cover is my favorite in the series. It has layers of story jam-packed with romance, action and suspense.

I really enjoyed these characters and wouldn't mind continuing on in this world. I'm sorry to think this is the end. Eagle Securities is working with the FBI and other government agencies to bring down the Russians involved in Lou's kidnap and development theft in Under Fire. There's also money-laundering and sex trafficking aspects.

Cabe is a former Navy SEAL running the security firm with his long-time friends and SEAL buddies. He sees the relationships his friends have; it is something he has always wanted. He is still lost in memories of Jess, his fiance, who was killed in action two years ago. But his eye is captured by Amy, although it makes him feel disloyal to Jess.

Amy is an FBI agent who wants to focus on missing women. Her mother disappeared years ago and has never been found. When the FBI joins the case to look for women abducted for the sex trafficking, Amy goes undercover. Luckily, she has unique skills which allow her to do it.

Cabe and Amy have serious business with the investigation and manage to be very professional despite their attraction. I always enjoy when characters are honest with themselves and others. They do a good job with being authentic. Both of them learn and grow a great deal, both personally and professionally, during this operation. They have incredible skills and self-control. It's exciting and it's so easy to cheer for them!

WOW! What a page turner! This book was one that kept me up way past my bedtime and I couldn’t put it down. It was awesome! The way that Miss Cole was able to have the characters interact with one another was amazing. There was excitement, suspense, fear, doubt, romance, and then there was overall comradery. Each character was so wonderfully scripted it was great to see that. Miss Cole is a wonderful writer and I can’t wait to read more from her!

Cade Moss is a partner with Six, a former SEAL teammate along with Mac, in Eagle Securities. The interaction that the three of them have together is something that is wonderful to see because it is like all three of them are part of the same brain. We see Cade in the midst of a heart-breaking moment, that is the birthday of his lost love but when Amy is knocked into him compliments of a drunk in a bar, could she bring him into the light of something that could bring him from the darkness that is mourning after his lost love?

Amy Murray is an FBI agent who is not to be taken lightly. When a case involves missing women, money laundering, and a casino, no one is better to go undercover than Amy. However, when the mystery guy from the other night is suddenly in the room as part of security will Amy be able to keep her cool and not act on the emotions that he brings out of her? Can the two of them work together long enough to complete the case or will the ever-present sexual tension take over and cause an issue within the case?

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

In the final installment of this series it is Cabe’s chance to try and find love again after the death of his fiancé Jess two years ago from an IED in Afghanistan. After retiring from the SEALs he, along with his two best friends, started Eagle Security and they have been asked to assist other law enforcement agencies in an undercover operation at a local casino.

Amy is an FBI agent who has recently transferred to the San Diego after the work conditions at the Atlanta office became unbearable through no fault of her own. She has been tasked with going undercover as a dealer at the casino due to the skills she learnt from her father who was a poker champion. This case has become personal due to a tragedy in her past.

They both have pasts they must overcome in order for them to be together in any meaningful way but there is no denying the chemistry between them. Their careers are very important to both of them, so they must work together as they try to maneuver the feelings they have for each. Full of emotion, chemistry and suspense this is a great addition to the series.

Wonderful story! I am never disappointed in a story by Scarlett Cole! Great read that once you start reading you don't want to stop.

Deep Cover is the third book in the Love Over Duty series. Amy and Cabe's chemistry oozes off the page. Their story captivated me from the start. I really enjoyed this book, and I definitely recommend it.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

When I started reading this book, I did not realize that this was book #3 in the series and that I had already read the previous books. Since I read so many books, I tend to forget events in the books so I was really glad that this book had quite a bit of sections that referenced the previous books which helped me remember what had happened and really made this book easy to read as a stand alone for a new reader to the series.

I loved that we saw lots of Cabe and his "brothers" in this book and met Amy. There wasn't a tragic breakup but Cabe did get into Amy's doghouse when he left her at the bar in the beginning! They both are very likeable characters and it was fun to watch them grow into a relationship.

Only thing that would have made the book even better is paragraph breaks with a definite break showing. I was reading along and then the next paragraph was about a new scene with different characters and it was not clear at first.

I realize it is unrealistic of me to want closure of what happened to Amy's mother as there are so many cases that are never solved but I wanted to know what happened to her! And what was with the need for eggnog when she already had eggnog in the fridge??

Lots of action and drama mixed with romance so I loved the book and glad that Cabe was able to move on from the death of his fiance and quit feeling guilty when he thought about Amy!

One last comment, Amy made the decision to stick to a desk job and not undercover but wouldn't undercover work be difficult if she was already exposed to the public as the daughter of a famous gambler??

Thank you to St. Martins Press and Net Galley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a nice and well wrapped up conclusion to Cabe Moss’s story. Two years prior, Cabe, ex. Navy Seal, lost the love of his life to an IED in Afghanistan. The day of his ex- finance’s birthday, he meets a very attractive woman in a bar and happens to flirt with her. Guilt ridden and ashamed, Cabe leaves the bar with no explanation. As co-owner of Eagle Securities, Cabe and his friends are pulled into a mission by none other than the woman that Cabe met at the bar. Confused and conflicted, Cabe agrees to work with her.

Amy has her own demons to conquer after being sexually harassed by a superior in the Atlanta field office. Now, transferred to San Diego, Amy wants to jumpstart her career and forget the issues back in Atlanta. She isn’t just another pretty face, and wants to prove that she is a top- notch FBI agent. Although she is attracted to Cabe, she wants to remain on professional terms only.

Amy is drawn into a unique case due to her upbringing. She was basically raised in casinos since her dad was a professional poker champion. Working on a missing woman’s case runs too close to home for Amy – her mother went missing when Amy was 10 and was never found.

While Amy’s intentions are to remain totally platonic with Cabe, emotions run high for both. Cabe can’t imagine a life without Jess, and is torn with his feelings towards Amy. Cabe knows deep in his heart that Jess would want him to find love and move on without her. He just isn’t sure if he can do it. Both Amy and Cabe are strong characters and are passionate about solving the case.

I am assuming that this is the end of the series since all of the installments have focused on each of the Eagle Security owners. This installment can be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed all of the books in the series and highly recommend this author.
