What a tragic book! The Waiting Room really tugged at my heart strings and took me on an emotional adventure. This is a must read. It really touches on love, sadness and forgiveness.

I could not put this book down! I read it in one setting! This story has lots of twists and turns, and the ending was outstanding! The author did a wonderful job of tying it all together. This will definitely be a book I will remember. Highly recommend!

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Very good novel on acceptance and forgiveness. I did not foresee the ending.

This was an incredible book! I finished it in one day, and had tears streaming down my face when it ended. It portrays the powerful force that motherhood is, and what we will do for the children we love.

Great book. A little slow in spots, but the twists in the last few chapters, wow, especially how the characters were connected, and the final big reveal.

Oooh, yes. This one is good. Very good. What a wild ride Bleeker takes the reader on with Veronica's dark and twisty story. This novel paints a clear picture of what can happen to a grieving mother after a tragic life event. Mental illness consumes Veronica and tears her family life apart.
I did predict a few things throughout the course of the novel, but was definitely shocked at the end. This psychological thriller kept me on the edge of my seat with fingernails severely bitten! Lots of twists and turns! Thank you, NetGalley for this advance readers' copy in exchange for my honest review.

I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them. This one was no different. A great twisty plot!

This book will keep, you up until you finish it. I read it in one afternoon! It's a knock your socks off kind of read. So many twists that keep you guessing and when you think all the secrets have been revealed,, another big shocker hits at the end. Loved it!!

.Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
This was a well-written book that tugged at my heart. Throughout most of the story I found myself angry one minute with Veronica, mostly when she couldn't bring herself to pick up her own little girl, and the next minute, understanding the depth of her depression and inability to move forward. As reality lines blur, Veronica's story takes several twists that keep you reading to see what is real and what is in her imagination.
A good read that digs deep into our emotional stability and the depths it can sink to when faced with tragedy.

Veronica, suffering from postpartum depression, loves her daughter, Sophie, but can’t really take care of her. After Sophie goes missing she goes on a desperate search for her. The confusion that Veronica is dealing with drew me in. I wanted to understand her situation. It amazes me how denial can so completely change a person’s outlook. Good book.

Wow. I could not put this book down. Lots of twists and turns. It kept me wanting to read more. You felt the emotions of the characters and knew them personally. I look forward to reading more of Emilys work. I would highly recommend it . You wont be disappointed.

4 stars great read for thriller lovers! Had to read because of another's recommendation and glad I did. Excellent thriller, writing amazing, and characters developed fully making you want to know what's next! Surprising ending, which is not common for me!

Wow, this book went places I never expected. A psychological thriller that you will keep you guessing until the last page. Every time I thought I had figured out where the story was going I was surprised.

WOW! What a fabulous book. If you enjoy psychological thrillers that have you guessing what is going on only to find out you were completely wrong, then this is the book for you! From all the twists and turns in the storyline, the complex characters in the book, and watching the main character's story unfold this is a must read to add to your collection.
It was interesting to read about the main characters mental illness and the extent the human mind will go to in order to protect itself from overwhelming loss and grief. Totally didn't expect the few twists at the end of the book! Left me speechless. Loved it!

I did not see that one coming. This was a good psychological thriller. While I had my suspicions about what possibly could be happening, I was surprised by the actual ending of The Waiting Room. Emily Bleeker created complex characters and a story full of emotion and intrigue. Some of the expositions did become tedious to get through, but each character was able to pull me through the story and wanting me to find out what the truth was with Veronica, Gillian, Nick, and especially Sophie. There were some heartfelt scenes that were expertly described (I don't want to give away any spoilers).
An overall solid storyline and a good addition to my library.

Amazing read! So well written I could feel the emotions from the people in this story.. Raw pain, post partem depression, grief, friendship, love and so much more. Just when I thought I had things figured out, there would be another twist thrown in and this happened all the way through the book. Emily Bleeker has really done a great job with this one.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book ! Emily is an incredible author. I knew the whole time reading it that there was a big twist coming, but I didn't know it would be that BIG ! I read this book in one day. Could not put it down. All the characters coming together in their shared grief. And the amazing lengths they have to go to mentally to deal with that loss. The ending will absolutely blow your mind. I laughed and cried while reading this book and I love when a book can do that ! You must read this book, you must ! Enjoy !

What an amazing psychological thriller!
This is a wonderfully woven novel of loss, fear, depression and ultimately love as a young woman finds her way back into the world of today after suffering from tremendous loss.
I was on the edge of my seat as the plot began to unfold and Veronica's 'story unravelled.
You will not believe the ending!

I loved "When I'm Gone" and "Working Fire" so I was excited to read "The Waiting Room." This book did not disappoint and was not what I expected at all. I'm not even sure where to to begin. It's a psychological thriller and has so many twists and turns. I started to believe one thing and then find out it wasn't true. At one point I wasn't sure which character was actually telling the truth. I never guessed the ending or even thought that was going to happen. I definitely loved this book!!!
Veronica is trying to put her life back together after the death of her husband and the birth of her daughter. She is suffering from postpartum depression and is unable to hold her daughter or even walk into the nursery. Veronica's mom lives with her to help take care of the baby. Veronica meets Gillian during their therapy visits and soon becomes friends with her. They were destined to meet because their sadness is intertwined with each other and they will help each other heal. When Sophie goes missing, Veronica will do anything to find her baby and enlists the help of Gillian and Mark (who seems to be stalking her).
I loved the story, characters and writing style. I definitely recommend it and can't wait to read more books by the author.
Thanks to NetGalley, Lake Union Publishing and the author, Emily Bleeker, for a free electronic ARC of this novel.

This was a very interesting psychological read. I enjoyed the way the author weaved a tale centered on mental illness and the truth that lies behind the crippling effects depression has on an individual. I could personally relate to a few of the feelings the protagonist, Veronica AKA Ronnie, displayed. It was interesting to see how she blocked out a traumatic experience which caused depression to overpower her & take a toil on her life. The cloudiness of Veronica's mind as I attempted to decipher reality from fiction through her eyes was confusing at times as I read the story. I must say that the way the author conveyed the process of growing and going through grief & tragedy was vividly realistic and emotionally displayed within the text. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the author was so detailed in her descriptions of places, people, and feelings. One thing that irritated me was the reference to calling 911 throughout the book and the how the time lapse of the baby being 6 months, 7 months, and 8 months of age didn't seem to add up at times. Maybe that was intentional by the author. The revelation of how the characters are connected at the end of the book will leave you reeling. All in all this was a good read that I would recommend to others who are interested with books told from a psychological viewpoint. I read this within 24 hours of receiving the copy of the book.
