A timely release in light of both the 70th anniversary of Israel and other events such as a the recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel. Darrell Bock and Mitch Glasser have brought together thirteen contributors to help better understand Israel's place in the world in light of Scripture.

The first section of this book provides a biblical understanding of Israel in regards to its origins and nature as the descendants of Abraham and the role of God's covenant. The second section provides a basis for understanding the relationship between church and Israel carefully guarding against the error of replacement theology which seems to be growing in popularity. The third section addresses the church in Jewish and Arab communities in Israel pointing toward the reconciliation that comes along with the gospel. The forth section addresses the current socio-political challenges to peace in Israel.

With some much controversy surrounding Israel this book will be an invaluable resource for those seeking a biblical understanding of the issues at hand. It serves as a helpful corrective to many extreme theological and political views that are growing increasingly popular.
