As usual for Kerry Lonsdale, Everything We Give is a masterpiece. Aimee and Ian return, along with their adorable daughter and several new characters. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Ian and his history.

While I am so sad that this is the final book in the Everything series, I look forward to reading Kerry’s future books.

A fitting and much anticipated conclusion to the Everything We .. series, this is Ian's story from his perspective, As a photo journalism assignment takes him abroad, he is worried about his wife, but also beginning to come to terms with his relationship with his mother. An encounter with an ex adds another layer of drama, as the author pulls on all our heartstrings, With flashbacks to Ian's youth, we learn why he is so protective, as well as get an understanding of why his relationship with his parents is fraught., but will his attempts to repair this end up costing him that which he holds most dear, his wife and daughter?
Cleverly weaving between past and present day, and with numerous twists and turns to keep the reader hooked, this was a most enjoyable read, with very believable characters that it is impossible to root for.
I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are entirely my own.

Heartbreaking., emotional, touching, this is a story you will not want to miss. The life Ian led growing up was very hard on him, an ill mother, a mostly absent father, a journey to the other side of the world and back takes us full circle with Ian and his beloved wife and little girl. The author is one of the best there is..

This is a bittersweet review for me. I have been following James and Aimee, and eventually Ian, from the beginning, from book one. Everything We Give, the third and final book in Lonsdale’s trilogy is…satisfying. Yes, that is the right word. It is perfectly satisfying.

First I want to say that if you intend to read this book, you must first read Everything We Keep and Everything We Left Behind. It is a true trilogy in that you need to read the previous books in order to understand the deep issues and history of the characters. Also, Give may reveal a few things from the previous books, aka spoilers. All three books are completely riveting, grabbing you from page one and easily launching you into a book binge. I say get all three together and read the weekend away.

Lonsdale starts right where she left off and you are immediately back with the characters. Everything We Give focuses on Ian’s story and what a remarkable story it is. His background has shaped him into who he is today as a father and a husband. About to embark on a journey that will truly launch his photography into the stratosphere, Ian has the chance to confront his past. And going back to his past might have everything to do with how his future will unfold. A truly riveting and suspenseful novel, Everything We Give brings their stories to a beautiful end, with closure for all involved. While I would love to continue to know what happened with this character or that one, Kerry Lonsdale wrapped up her characters’ stories wonderfully with everyone exactly where they were destined to be.

EVERYTHING WE GIVE by Kerry Lonsdale is a great conclusion to the “Everything” series. We have journeyed with James, Aimee, and Ian for two books already and you should definitely read those before embarking on this novel. This novel gives Ian’s backstory and it’s a doozy. I really appreciated the way the chapters rotated with only Ian as a teenager and as an adult acting as narrator, with the exception of a few Aimee chapters. I think the parallel between Ian’s journey and the Spanish horses was another interesting one and appreciated hearing about why photography was so important to him. I also love that it was partially set in Idaho and hope this means Lonsdale is coming our way because we have much better restaurants then the Applebees by the airport. I don’t want to give any plot points away so I’ll just conclude by saying it’s a solid conclusion to a good series and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next. I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I didn't read the second book in this series because I deeply disliked the first one- but this was pretty good. I was able to quickly dive back into the characters because Lonsdale gives you enough (but not too much) of the backstory-who's who to let this one make sense without the earlier books. Ian's thinking all is well- he had a tough life but now he's got Aimee, his daughter, and a good career. Aimee thinks all is well also and then her ex-fiance James shows up! This has a fair amount of drama and some twists. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is an easy read with a fair amount of drama- a good beach book.

I have enjoyed both other pieces to this puzzle (Books 1 and 2). If you have yet to read those, I would skip my review until you have, there are some spoilers in this 3rd book in the series.

While I enjoyed this book, I found this one to be slightly slower and it took a bit for me to get into it, unlike the other two.

This book concentrates mainly on Ian's life, current and year's ago when he was a young child. We learn about his mother with a split personality, one side being very abusive, her name was Jackie.

Despite his mother's mental issues and the abusive care he suffered at her hands, he has never stopped thinking about her and wondering where she is.

Some time ago, he was in touch with a psychic and recently has decided to put more efforts into looking for her and connecting with his father.

He gets the dream job of a lifetime, to photograph for National Geographic and along the way he gets this sudden urge to look for the keys to his past as well.

He and his wife Aimee go through a few ups and downs in this third book, will they survive? Will he find his mother? Reconnect with his father?

Enjoy this third book in the series which starts to connect some missing pieces and has some challenges along the way.

The Everything trilogy comes to a bittersweet end with Everything We Give. In this final book, readers get to know Ian's story. Told in alternating chapters from Ian's childhood and the present, we learn of his growing up with a mother with mental illness and a father who was away too often because of his work. My heart broke for Ian as he tried so hard to help his mother. That's quite a burden for one so young and not fully understanding her illness, but he grew up to be a caring and loving man. One can feel his love for Aimee spewing from the pages, and also the anguish he felt for not being able to care for his mother. It made me love Ian more than before. There are a few surprising twists in the book that made a lot of things make sense. I love how this story came together and am so sad to see it end. Kerry Londsdale's writing is exemplary, and Everything We Give is everything I was hoping it'd be: a very satisfying read with characters that I will miss.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of this great book.

Everyone's youth affects their adulthood, whether positive or negative. In this heartfelt story (book #3 in the series) we get a clear vision of what makes Ian tick. His unsettling, heart-wrenching upbringing with a mostly-absent father and a troubled mother is really the heart of this story.

Ian needs answers about his past so he can move forward with his wife (Aimee) and daughter (Caty), whom he lives for. You'll want to read books #1 and #2 in this series so you get the full flavor of the characters. Although Aimee (Ian's wife) and James (her almost-husband) are part of this story, the real journey is Ian's. And it's one you'll want to experience with him. Be prepared to want to reach into the pages to take Ian in your arms to hug and comfort him!

I've become attached to the characters, reading the first two books in the series first. Loved exploring Ian's perspective, revealing a heartbreaking childhood, and getting a better understanding of his personality and dedication. Well written, consistent with the rest of the series, and hard to put down. Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the review edition. All opinions are my own.

I wasn't initially sure I could jump back in from a different POV (having read the first two in the series) but I'm glad I did. Ian's story was compelling and heart wrenching and all the things that keep you turning the pages way after you should have went to sleep. I truly enjoyed the entire Everything Series and will be recommending it again and again.

Growing up with a mentally ill mother and then dealing with the fallout as an adult is no easy task. The emotions are raw and real in this beautiful novel bringing a very satisfying end to the trilogy of Everything!

This is the third book in this series ! I absolutely loved books one and two and waited for this book. This book was Ian’s story and dealt with the mental heath issues of his mom.
We get to check in with Aimee and briefly James.
The writing was just beautiful and the issue were written with such depth.
I sad to see the series conclude but I am happy everyone got their answers!

While this book fulfills the final installment in a terrific series which I have enjoyed all along, I could not get into this book. I wanted to. Desperately. I love the world that Lonsdale has created, her characters and their tough dilemmas. Lonsdale is smart, creative, dove deep into mental illness, explored the price of secrets and illuminated the choices that we make with no idea of how they will come roaring back. As I said, I could not get into this story. Laborious descriptions of appearance and long slogs through back story did me in within the first ten pages. Lonsdale is profoundly talented and I look forward to her future work, perhaps without the creaking, overwrought structure and deadly plod through the stuff that the reader "has just got to know."

In this installment, we get Ian's story instead of James or Aimee, although we see what they are up to. For me personally, I think James' story is by far the most compelling, and we only briefly check in on him. Obviously Aimee is in the book a lot, being Ian's wife. We find out what Lacy wanted Ian to know.
While reading this book, I couldn't help but wonder if it really was necessary or not, perhaps not. However, it had a fascinating depiction of Dissociative Identity Disorder which I found white compelling. Those parts are by far where the book shines. The author did a lot of research on the illness, and it shows.
Ultimately, this booook is for you if the previous two books interested you, and you want to know more about Ian and his story. If you want anything else, it is not for you.

I really loved this series, and am glad for the closure this book gave.. I'm not sure if its because I knew it was the last book, but I was sad reading this one! The story answered many questions I've had since book one. I do recommend reading the whole series in order, you'll get maximum enjoyment that way!

This is the third book in the series by Lonsdale. I think the author does a good job at catching up any readers who didn't read the first two books. I felt that this was a good storyline that wrapped up a lot of loose ends and also gave us an additional storyline of Ian and his childhood.

Lonsdale never fails to write a fast-paced book that is entertaining.

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own

I'm going to round this 2.5 up to a 3 since I loved the first two books. Book 3 just didn't do it for me. I found the story to be rushed and felt like there was so much other stuff going on, I couldn't really connect with Ian's story. I also wasn't crazy about the twist at the end. I mean it made sense to a point but I almost would have preferred the mystery instead of trying to tie all the ends together.

Although generally a stand alone I would say that you should read the previous books which I had not so I was a bit lost. Overall a really good story, mature writing and character development.
