Super cute story with super cute pictures. Easy to follow and fun. Great for story time.

I found this boom to be a simple story about a cat on a boat adventure with his human. The pictures were really cute but the story was not that engaging. Good for kids with short attention spans though

Childers’ charming Macaroni the Great and the Sea Beast is told from the point of view of Macaroni, a big ginger kitty who goes out each day with his human Sammy to fish in the ocean. Of course, Macaroni is the one in charge! He just lets his human help. One day, instead of hauling up fish, a terrifying sea beast is brought up. Thank goodness Macaroni is there to save the day, and banish the beastie back to the depths! He gets a yummy fish as a reward, and the day ends with the pair relaxing on the porch.

Oh, this story was too cute, and the artwork just gorgeous! My cubs and I all loved reading about Macaroni's adventures. The author definitely caught the personality of cats perfectly. This would be a great addition to any young child’s library, perfect for bedtime reading.

Mac is a ship’s cat. And it is up to him to protect his master Sammy from the great sea beast that comes aboard their ship. Simple, but endearing. A cat in a human world.

Macaroni the Great and the Sea Beast was a fun read. Mac does a splendid job telling this tale piece by piece. The illustrations do a wonderful job bringing each page to life. Mac sounds like a cat that enjoys the life he has, and appears to think highly of himself. When a threat comes along, Mac is more than happy to do all he can to save the day. It is a simple story but one I am sure most kids will really like.

“Macaroni the Great and the Sea Beast” was adorable and I loved it so much that I read it twice. The author really captured the mind of a cat!

An adventurous story about Macaroni the Great and his wild days out of the sea with his First Mate, Sammy. I found this to be a enjoyable story, with lovely and colorful illustrations. A feel good book, that will be a hit with the children.

This book was super cute! The art style was nice, the writing style was good. I loved Macaroni, his bombastic character fit perfectly with the story.

The only thing I did not like was that the book promoted feeding tuna to cats. Cats really should not be eating tuna (or milk...) because it will give them cancer. I speak from experience on that one 😔

Overall, a great book! Can’t wait to buy it for my library

This is a beautiful picture book with detailed and colourful illustrations. The story is simple and easy to follow. My grandson loved the story, especially since he goes out on his Nonnis boat. He thought the sea beast was pretty funny as well. A cute story about the relationship between humans and their pets. I hope there are more stories about Macaroni in the future. A good addition to a family, classroom, school or public library. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

An attractive tale, told to us by a sea-faring cat, of the day he rescued his boat and his human from the claws of a horrid monster. You'd think to find some comeuppance for the cat's ego and hubris, with his big I Am and his talent for sailor's legends, but no – this is even more simple than that. With barely two dozen words per page, it's fine for the very young, if not perhaps complex enough for the adult helping them with the finer points.

This cute kids book is about a cat. A sea-faring cat! It's got great illustrations and the story line is cool! It's a nice beginners book for children just learning to read sentences and of course illustrations about a cat and a fisherman.

The graphics are adorable, the story is lacking. They see beast is a lobster which small children should recognize. I found it a bit silly and wasn't sure if I would want to read it to children. I rate it a 3.

The story is super simple and easy to follow. It’s perfect for very young readers. Kids will love Macaroni, the adventurous and fun cat. His name is really adorable. However, the simplicity of the plot may not be interesting enough to hold the attention of older kids.

I really love the book’s well-detailed illustrations which are beautifully coloured and so much fun! They nicely enhance the simple story.

Macaroni the Great and the Sea Beast is a lovely and easy read for very young children. I definitely recommend this book. I would love to see more of Macaroni the Great’s adventures at sea!

Silly little tale of a cat, Macaroni, and his human parent, Sammy. They have a fishing boat they go out on daily to catch fish to sell a the market. Macaroni, loves fishing and always picks out a fish for himself. One day they are out catching fish and Sammy pulls in a lobster with funny results on Macaroni's part! Great story for early readers and the illustrations were fun to look at! I think kids are going to enjoy this story.
