really enjoyed this book.
It was addictive, sexy and so well written but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can say without spewing spoilers everywhere... And this is a series that really should be read without spoilers or it could lose some of its zing. So I'm going to keep it simple.

I love this world.
I love the way it blends the paranormal - aka Vampires - and a dystopian future.
Reyna is a likable character and her heart is most definitely in the right place but she can be a little bit annoying at times. Beckham is a likable character and can be a bit of an ass at times. Together they are an addictive couple who I can't get enough of.

The political intrigue deepens in this book and we get to see more of ELLE the human/vampire underground organization fighting for equality which was so cool...
But the ending.

That FRICKIN' ending.

What the hell?!
Once again it's a massive cliffhanger and once I again I just can't... It was worse, so much worse, than book one. I mean, HOW? How could it end like that?!
It makes no sense.
It can't be the end.
It's just wrong.
I know my rant makes no sense, but if you read the book you'll understand, and trust me the end of this one is not something you want spoiled (for I don't think I'd have read the book if I'd had a clue).

I'm going to keep the faith though.
There's got to be a happy ending at the end of book three, right?
This is a romance series, right?!

Right.

PS - I totally recommend this series.

Blood Type was already an amazing story, but Blood Match got even better. After the cliffhanger I really needed this book and it didn't disappoint. I actually think this one got even better. This story starts off a little after the ending of Blood Type and Reyna is in a situation she never expected. Besides the romance aspect, there is a lot of suspense. Reyna and others are up for a fight, but will they be able to win? Things aren't always what they seem and Reyna has to learn to cope. Beckham is still the mysterious sexy vampire. There are some amazing characters added to this story with Elle and I hope we see even more of them. Once again, K.A. Linde left me wanting more. Luckily Blood Cure will be released in a couple of months. I have read different vampire books, but not any with a world created like this. How making vampires less animalistic with blood matches can turn into their worst nightmare in the end. A world where is doesn't matter how smart you are, it isn't easy to get a job. A world where vampires aren't supposed to be as scary, but still have way too much power. Sounds interesting doesn't it? Paranormal readers will love this story! I don't want to say too much, because this is really a book you need to discover while reading!

Broken. Shattered. I'm not even sure how I'm suppose to process the ending of this book. My world has completely been thrown on it's axis and I'm not sure I'll ever be the same. My heart and soul have been completely invested in this book and after the last page, I just feel so hollow. Kyla has blown this book out of the water. If you love vampires, romance, and a book leaving you at a loss for words and no way of healing what was broken, you need to read this one.

Blood Match by K.A. Linde is by far one of my favorite books this year. It owned me, I devoured it and never wanted it to end, but then when the end was in sight everything changed. I didn't see it coming, I was speechless. I'm still not sure if my heart will ever be the same. WOW, just WOW! I can't believe everything that occurred in this book, the twists and turns, the earth shattering end. I just can't express how much I loved everything about this book. Yet the end put me in so much dismay. Ya'll are going to be blown away and be as awed as me.

Blood Match starts right where book one left off. You will be thrown into Reyna's turmoil and terror. When Reyna and Beckham finally reunite it will give you peace, it will fill you with so much love. I absolutely breathed these characters in, Beckham is one of my top and favorite characters ever. So prepare yourself for one of the most unexpected emotional roller coasters EVER!

I give Blood Match by K.A. Linde 5 out of 5 MY BECKHAM STARS!! Ya'll this book deserves so much praise and I'd give it more stars if I could.

OH.MY.GOSH! I have so much love for this series, it's ridiculous. I could definitely do without the cliffhanger endings (the wait isn't long people, you can do it!), but we just have one more book to go until we finally reach the end of this crazy vampire world with blood escorts and the elite. Pretty darn political if you ask me. Just like when you finished Blood Type, you'll be hungry and waiting once you reach the end. I'm such a fan of this new take with one of my favorite paranormal beings to read about; vampires! And Beckham is still one that you'll absolutely fall in love with!

Reyna! I love her character so much, she has come so far since day one in Blood Type. Gone is the naive woman and someone new to be admired rises. She's definitely a much stronger character this time because of what she had to endure when she was captured and tortured. And with just accepting her new reality and the craziness of the world she lives in. Reyna was truly knocked down physically and mentally in this one, you'll be wondering how she'll make it out alive. But in the end, I felt like she was much stronger. Her eagerness to be reunited with not only her brothers, but essentially the man she came to love, Beckham. And also the fact the RIGHT thing needs to be done!

The drama and angst are all there in this one, which will really pull out the emotions out of you especially when it comes to a couple of characters you absolutely despise. I'd say one of them is completely unnecessary, but that's just me ;-) However, it was just right amount I could deal with, without getting too irritated by it all.

It's a slow start, but once things really start to pick up, you'll have quite the page-turner on your hands. I was constantly hungry for more and now I'm so damn eager for the conclusion! Gimme, gimme, gimme! Such a solid read from K.A. Linde and a great addition to this series. Absolutely can't wait for Blood Cure!

Blood Match by K.A. Linde is the second installment in the Blood Type Series. Blood Match is not a standalone, I strongly recommend to read the previous book Blood Type, first.

Blood Match picks up where Blood Type left off. Reyna was kidnapped by a sinister vampire and is held prisoner. She´sused as a blood bag - nothing more. Reyna is furious but her rebellion is smothered pretty quickly.
Beckham is a mystery. He acts a certain way only to counteract some time later. Reyna misses him and longs for him.
Beckham seems to believe she vanishedon her own free will and the question is will he be looking for her? All in all he seems like a cold hearted vampire too.
Let me tell you, I started reading and I couldn´t put the book down, I was that hooked on the story. There´s so much drama, pain, danger, desperation and more drama, the story left me breatless.
And then, bam it ends with a cliffie and now I´m sitting here and can´t wait to read how Reyna´s story continues. 5 stars.

WOW! Just W.O.W. Blood Match was one of those books that grabbed me from the first page and I found myself drawing out my reading time because I didn’t want the book to end. At Reyna and Beckham’s first scene together, I still thought he was a jerk, but I have to say he did prove himself throughout this installment. In true Linde fashion, BE READY FOR THE ENDING!!!! I thought I called it several times, but I wasn’t even close. Never.saw.it.coming.

I can’t even put into words what I’m thinking right now. K.A. Linde sure does know how to suck you until the very last page. I kept turning the pages expecting there to be more. Ugh... I don’t want to spoil this amazing book for anyone. All I’m going to say is read it and you will probably be mad by the time you finish. I need Blood Cure asap!

Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type series. This book is NOT a standalone and picks up where book one ends. Now that that is out of the way…

What in the ever loving, flippity floppity, flap jacks did I just read??? My heart in a million little pieces. K.A. Linde, with her cute as can be smile, has ripped my heart out once again. And it is my fault. Every time she writes something, it’s like I forget and dive head first only to realize (too late) that she’s already breaking me. And if I thought book one did something to me, holy hell book two left me gasping for air.

If you have read book one, you will totally understand and agree that book two is just as wonderful if not more. Beautiful writing, amazing storyline. Literally gasping for book three. Because it simply can’t end this way.

Blood Type is a series that must be read in order. Blood Match is book two and picks up exactly where Blood Type (book one) left off. Reyna is still being held by Harrington, Beckham has not saved her, and she is trying to figure out how to escape the hell she is in.

This will be a tough review to write without giving away spoilers. There is so much wonderfulness in the story but to share it would be giving away too much. So I will keep it simple. The storyline is amazing. I am a vampire story fan and love that this is not the typical human falls for a vampire; they change her, and their love blossoms. That is not what Blood Match is. There is the human/vampire love story but this is the story of a vampire who has figured out a way to get power, too much power and is taking advantage of those who are not so powerful. I love that there is depth, mystery, and drama to the story. There are characters that are relatable and likable.

This is a MUST-READ book. Read Blood Type first, meet Reyna, Becks, Penny, and the rest of the characters. Learn about their lives, their loves, and their hates. See where life is leading them. You will not be able to stop reading.

Oh my stars! Do you ever go farther down the rabbit hole in the second installment of the Blood Type series. There are so many twists and turns with jaw dropping moments that leave your mind spinning. Especially the ending. I was blown away. There are so many passionate moments but lots of information to digest. I think what I really loved is the in depth description of how this world that the author created, works day in and out. How humans and vampires coexist but in such an insane manner. I love how Rayna is a fighter. She has such spark and gives as good as she gets. She tells it like it is for her and when it comes to Beckham she knows what she wants. I love how Beckham is with her too. His match in every which way.
Overall, I AM DYING FOR THE NEXT PART!!! The way this one ended had me wanting to yell and throw my ereader! Linde has a brilliant way of wrapping you up in a story and this one does not disappoint! I was mind blown and dying to know what will happen next! I highly recommend this series because it is only going to get better! I need answers and I hope I get what I am hoping for to happen in the third book!

This is a truly addictive series and boy does K.A. Linde know how to leave things that keep us coming back, nay, begging for more. Blood Match picks up right where Blood Type leaves off. Sufficed to say Reyna is not in a good place, emotionally or physically. her world not only turned up side down but essentially destroyed she does the only thing she can, fights back through her pride until that too is beaten back and leaves her distraught.

On that note I highly recommend going back and doing a re-read of Blood Type before starting in on Blood Match. I found that I had sadly forgotten some of the small details that were important to the story when I began. They ultimately came back as things fell into place but it made the beginning a little head scratching as I tried to remember. Which leads me to saying, this is not a book that can be read as a standalone. These books end on cliffhangers and tied tightly together with one another.

As you might expect considering what Reyna goes through in Blood Type and what she will go through in the beginning of Blood Match, Reyna is not the naive but proud girl that we first met. She is hardened by what she discovers and what she goes through. All the things I wish she had been in the first book when she would frustrate me she becomes in this book, though she keeps a good dose of that pride and willfulness but would we really want her any other way. She is a powerful and determined heroine who will enthrall you with her courage, perseverance, and loyalty. She will frustrate you just as much with her willful determination and her lack of concern for her own self, but those traits make her capable of becoming the one that is needed to change everything.

Beckham, what does one say about Beckham...well actually I can say a few things, ha. First off I have to say I spend 3/4ths of my time loving him and 1/4th of my time hating him and thinking he is the worst scoundrel of all. He's also just an amazing character all around. Flawed so badly and determined to make amends for his past while moving the future of his race and that of all humanity in a new direction, but what direction that is...well you have to read to find out.

This series is action packed and will keep you on your toes until K.A. Linde makes you tip right over crashing to the ground when you get to her ending for this book. If you thought the end of book one was a cliffhanger you haven't seen anything yet. Be prepared to want to scream and toss your book (don't do it..you've been warned so you can breathe deep and set your e-reader/book gently aside then throw a pillow) and beg for more. This book will leave you scrambling and saying WHAT THE F, but it will be so worth it!

~ HAPPY READING (laughs maniacally) ~

I am loving the Blood Type series by K.A. Linde! In Blood Match we go back to Beckham Anderson and Reyna Carpenter’s world where vampires rule and humans barely survive! This is definitely a must read for all paranormal story lovers!

We pick off right where we left off and take off running! We get some answers and many more questions. There is danger and enemies at every turn. Reyna is in danger and Beckham is trying to do everything to get her back. This time around we get to see Reyna grow at the horrors she faces. While Beckham is determined, strong and still as protective and possessive as ever! And that ending. Seriously cannot wait to get my hands on the next book! How will it all end?

Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.

Happy reading!

Blood Match

**received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The second book in the Blood Type series is just as thrilling as the first book. Once again you are taken to another world where vampires and humans co-exist, but everything isn’t as it seems and no one is safe. Renya and Beckham are once again challenged by their feelings for one another and must make decisions that will not only affect them, but those around them also. This series continues to keep you entranced and you won’t want to miss what happens next.

Renya can’t believe all that she has endured. And just when it seems she won’t ever be free, she gets help to escape her prison and be free again. There is so much that has changed since she has been locked away and she can’t wait to see Beckham again. She wants to fix what happened between them and show him that it doesn’t matter.

But will they be able to work through all that has happened? Or will they once again be forced apart and not given the chance they both deserve at happiness?

This was a good read. I am a huge fan of KA Linde, but have a hard time with paranormal romance. I had a hard time getting into this second book and the cliffy at the end had my jaw hanging open. The writing is brilliant and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love an author that can create a story so outside the box. It was a good read, I just had a hard time getting into this world again. I am very interested to see where this story will end in book 3 with everything that has happened at the end of book 2.

This is book 2 in a 3 book series. You need to have read book 1 to understand what is going on in this book.

This book was much better than the first one. It is no secret that I struggled a little bit with that but I am so glad I didn't give up on this series!

At the end of the last book Reyna runs away from Beckham and runs right into her kidnappers at Visage. They keep her as a captive and she is basically a blood bag for one of the most powerful vampires. This obviously sucks. She can't speak to anyone but I also thinks it opens her eyes to what is really going on. Her Naivety is what made me hate her in the first book but she is not so naive now. I actually enjoyed her in this book! Her character was so much stronger. I am excited to see her grow in the next book. Beckham.. well I still am not 100% on them. Yes the scenes with the two of them are hot but I hold grudges man. And he was just an ass. So I guess we will see how it goes in the next one.

A lot happens in this book. I do not want to give away anything but be prepared. In true Linde fashion the ending will make you want to scream. I am dyyyyyyying for the next book!

I received a copy of this book from the author.

Oh man! I was not ready for that ending! This book devoured me so much more than the first. This second installment is much faster paced and once you pick it up, you won’t be able to put it down. SO ADDICTIVELY GOOD!

Note: This is the second book in this series. You must read Blood Type before enjoying this amazing second installment to the Blood Type series. Because of that, there may be spoilers in this review if you haven’t read book 1. As always though, there are no spoilers for this book.

This story starts up right where the first left us. Reyna locked up, as a prisoner, in Visage being forced to be a blood donor, like she originally signed up to be but unfortunately that is the least of her worries. There is so much action that happens in this story. My adrenaline spiked, and my heart was constantly racing. I couldn’t read, and turn, the pages fast enough.

I can’t wait to read what I’m sure will be and epic ending to this fun, suspenseful, PNR series! This is sure to be a series for the books!

Life is certainly not going as Reyna planned. As a blood donor, Reyna thought her task would be the escape from poverty her family needed. Then Beckham walked into her life. To say that things became unpredictable would be an understatement. Who ever imagined having feelings for their vampire host? A string of ‘not so great’ decisions has led Reyna to a place of danger. An unpredictable state that seems to only get worse as the days drag on.

As Reyna deals with life in her ‘new’ surroundings, things begin to seem more bleak than ever before. The one thing that keeps Reyna’s determination flowing is the thought that Beck’s is out there somewhere. How can Reyna find her way through the hardships she is facing? Can this really be the way living as a Blood Match turns out?

What an interesting turn of events…..when we left Reyna in the last book it seemed that a difficult road was up ahead. As time passed, we see exactly what is in store for Reyna as a blood match. There is more to meet the eye in this world of vampires, blood donors, and the underground fighters. Beckham and Reyna fight everything standing in their way, but will their different paths in life lead them further apart? Blood Match will answer more of your questions and leave you searching for the truth. Another shocking ending sets the scene for the third book. Get ready for the ‘bite’…..

This book was so “bloody” amazing!!! I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth back into this story.
It’s like book one but vamped up to new heights!! The story just gets better and better. The connection between Becks and Reyna is so unbelievably good, hot, delicious and good.
I can’t wait for others to read this next instalment of this series, they are going to love it too. I couldn’t put it down for a minute.
Brace yourself for the ending, but I have 100% faith in the author......this is me putting the pressure on her aka the queen of angst to make it “Wright”. Wrong series but you catch my drift 😐😉😛

Reyna has been taken by a powerful vampire because of something special about her blood. She entered an agreement with Visage as a blood escort but now she’s being held against her will. With her relationship with Beckham up in the air, Reyna doesn’t know who she can trust and how she’s going to escape. Caught between the vampires and Elle, is Reyna destined to only be used as a pawn for power?

“Everything slowed down to this moment. To his raw unbridled passion and the way in which his lips and hands and entire body claimed her. All she wanted was him. His taste and touch. Purely Beckham.”

This story jumps right in where we left off with Reyna being betrayed and taken by William Harrington. I was anxiously waiting for a rescue but there were a few twists that I didn’t see coming. Elle was a much bigger factor in this story than I originally anticipated. Becks kept surprising me with his unexpected actions and secrets. But the scenes between the two were ultra steamy. You can’t help but root for the two to overcome all the obstacles in their way. Reyna sometimes acts impulsively at different points where I just want to shake some sense into her. And when everything goes down…I wanted to scream out loud NOOOOOO! You are killing me! This just did not happen!

Now I’m jumping up and down for the Blood Cure. This world has me sucked so far into it that I just need more Beckham and Reyna and almost every single person this very moment.

"Blood Match" starts eight weeks after the exaggerated "Blood Type" cliffhanger and does so in a slow way, a bit narcotized, almost as much as its own protagonist.

The first thing that strikes about "Blood Match" is the change that Reyna does. In the review of the first book I told you that she reminded me of Tris of "Divergent", but - thankfully - the thing changes in this second volume because our protagonist takes more the features of a Katniss.
Reyna does not want to stand still and watch, she wants to act, she wants to be part of the change. She fights with her fingernails and with her teeth and does not care on who she will have to step on to achieve her goal.
Even Beckham changes a lot: he opens up, shows us something more - much more - of himself, no longer hides his feelings for Reyna and, indeed, celebrates them as only a man of other times could do.
And do you remember that thing that reminded me of "Twilight" I was talking about in the first volume? Forget it, because here we do not have amber eyes and vegetarian vampires. Here the blood flows and is a continuous temptation.

Speaking of the plot, the story takes a bit 'to get to the heart, but once you overcome the first fifty pages you will find in your hands a dystopian with the touch of urban fantasy that only vampires can give.
There is rebellion, spies, missions, battles, victories and losses.
There is eroticism.
There is the mystery of the blood.
And, of course, there is the cliffhanger that - again - leaves you to quiver for the next volume.
