Being the daughter of a True Brothers MC member doesn't get you the answers you are looking for. All Amber wants to know is the scumbag who killed her father last year has paid for it. But the members will not tell her anything, so she is going to find the answers herself. She ends up at the club of the Russian Mafia and it is too late when she realizes that she should not be there. When the brothers from the MC show up, she is whisked out of the office. It makes her so mad when they take over every situation.

Bam is a True Brother and is all too eager to protect Amber. She is a club princess and that means she is off limits to him. But he will protect her with everything he has, including his life. The more time he spends with her, the more he sees her true colors, she is independent, strong, vulnerable, and so hot.

They find themselves drawn to each other, but will they cross that line? Bam could lose his club brothers, the only family he has left, is it worth it? Is this true love or just lust?

I love a good MC story and each book seems to get better with each brother, but I think Bam and Amber are my favorites so far. If you are looking for a good MC that will have you guessing what happens next, then you need to read this series. I love it and can't wait to see what the next book is going to be about.

Fourth in this series and this is Hunter's book, aka Bam Bam. After the brutal murder of Stitch in the parking lot, Stitch's family is a bit left behind by the True Brothers MC. Amber, Stitch's daughter, is seeking retribution and closure for her father's death. She starts stirring up the club and the Russian bratva for answers on her father's killer. Bam ends up having to protect Amber after the Russian's son takes an interest in her. Realizing that Stitch's family has been forgotten about, Bam makes sure the brothers start helping them out again. In the meantime, Amber, who swore she'd never get involved with a biker after her dad's death, finds she's drawn to Bam in all the ways she wishes she wasn't. The two start out with a bit of a love-hate thing that turns to lust. But Amber isn't someone the club will just let Bam "play" with, he has to claim her or leave her be. Bam having to choose between Amber and his brothers, who are his only family, made for good reading. I enjoyed Bam's character a lot and Amber grew on me more and more. I can’t say this was my favorite and it felt a bit rushed at the end with an odd ambush by the rival gang. Also, a death that ties things up for Bam and Amber nicely but felt forced to me. Amber having to decide if she wants this MC life and all the violence and uncertainty is done nicely though and I felt for her and her mom in the end. I didn't find any set up for the next brother in book five but I'm in for the next one.

This is a great read – definitely has a bit of a slow start but really picks up after the first few chapters. The hero in this book, Bam Bam, is probably one of my favorite characters in a long time – he’s swoon worthy.

Amber’s father was president of the True Brothers MC until he was murdered. Now, Amber wants nothing to do with the club as they’ve pretty much turned their backs on her and her mother, plus they’re not willing to give her details on her father’s death. On a mission to ensure that the man that killed her father was “properly taken care of,” Amber winds up at a bar owned by the Russian mafia and their scary leader, Ruslan, takes immediate interest in her – Bam Bam swoops in and gets her out of there. When Bam Bam realizes that Amber’s family hasn’t been taken care of since her father’s passing, he makes it his personal mission to change that, while also keeping her safe from Ruslan and keeping his growing feelings for her tamped down.

Though I loved Bam Bam’s character and he was my favorite, Amber’s character was also pretty great. She’s fierce, determined, and won’t let anyone get in her way when she’s on a mission. When she and Bam get together, they light the pages on fire with passion. This is my favorite book from the series so far. The absolute only thing I didn’t like about it was that I feel like an MC would never “forget” about a previous president’s family like they did Amber’s – on that same note, it’s definitely made up for. I think this is the first MC romance I’ve read (and I’ve read a lot) that the male was willing to give up his club for a woman – it was a refreshing change. I’m looking forward to more from Gillian Archer!

I honestly don't know how I feel about this book. It is an extremely well-written story with an amazing plot. The romance was about a deep connection between 2 special people. I will give it a 4 1/2 star rating but IMO it is definitely an adult read. Yes, the sex is steamy. Yes, the language is adult. Yes, from my perspective, it is an adult read because of the extreme violence depicted. For me, however, this story was like reading about a violent gang who happened to ride motorycles. While I usually enjoy MC books, this type of violence is not my genre.

I liked the book a lot. It had it's moments were I had my "uhh is this really happening" and "What is with this claiming BS" but once you get past that it is a fantastic book. At first I was in denial that the romance was going to be between Bam and Amber. I don't know why I thought it was going to be with the Russian Mob guy. This book is good, it has some fantastically written scenes. I did have my moments of wondering if it was going to get to the point on occasion. But all around it was an absolutely wonderful book. I would love to read more by Gillian Archer and I am in love with the True Brothers no matter how soft... I mean "Hardcore" they are. I really really want to read the first few books from this series. I absolutely loved this book. There is a lot of heart to it, it really made me smile. I really recommend it.

Rough Ride starts where Resilient ended with the death of Stitch. This is the story of Stitch’s daughter Amber and her quest to find out what really happened with her father and Bam the True Brother assigned to her safety. This series just gets better with each book published. No cheating and a HEA!

I've become a huge fan of motorcycle club romances lately, so even though Gillian Archer is a new to me author, I was excited to delve into her world of MC. Unfortunately this book left me feeling a little let down.... maybe because I hadn't read any of the previous books in this series.
I thought the writing was terrific and the romance was done well, but there was just something missing. I had a hard time lusting over a hero called "Bam", and it seemed like their story was a lot of biker intensity but not enough emotional intensity.

This is a fun and sexy story with colorful characters. It is the fourth book in the True Brothers MC series and each book is a standalone. While I enjoyed the story, I had a hard time connecting with the characters.

Amber’s father was the president of the True Brothers motorcycle club until he was fatally shot by a rival gang. Since his death, Amber and her mom have been having a tough time. Bam, one of the members of True Brothers, is surprised to discover Amber and her mom have been left all alone without any help from the MC.

Bam is a big, protective, sweet guy. He cares about Amber and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Once he learns no one from the club has been watching over them, he makes it his mission to help them.

Amber is lost and alone until Bam enters her life. Everything has changed since her father was murdered and she has had a tough time. She likes Bam and the more she gets to know him, the more her feelings grow.

This book opens with Amber still dealing with the effects of the death of her father from the last book. Her life has changed drastically, and now she would like answers on the person who killed her father. Was he taken care and if so how so. She though is getting no answers from her father’s Motor cycle club. She decides to go to the Russians how are supposed to have ended up with the man. While there her father’s club comes in as well and let’s say that they are not too pleased. Bam the newly patched member ends up taking her out and to her home, and here you have the two people that the book is going to center around. Bam is someone that Amber puts in a hole along with everyone else because of her anger towards the club and their lack of doing nothing for the last year for her and her mother. Bam seeing what she is talking about is attracted to her but feels that he is not worthy enough for her. Amber just is looking at finding back to her own way and if that way is Bam she does not care what he thinks about because she goes after what she wants. Avery good book to go along with the other books in the series and really a good follow up from the last book. I really liked both Amber and Bam, and the rest of the characters.

I actually can't believe how much I liked this book. From the first chapter, I was convinced this would be a DNF because Ruslan is obviously not main man material. Thankfully, I kept reading to chapter 2 and Bam entered my life. I loved this story. Normally, I don't like biker stories because I'm not all about the "my property" shit. However, it didn't bother me nearly as much as some of the other biker stories I've read. I might even go back and read the rest of this series, but this book gets a lower rating from me because I still can't stand any sort of misogyny. People say I should expect it in romance novels, but I expect women to not write it. Let's get some feminist bikers up in here!

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

I have to take a second and take my hat off to Gillian Archer. This is the first book that I have read when an MC looses a member and things don't go as planned when it comes to the support of the family that is left behind. It added a different dynamic to this story because you have read about many of the members in books 1-3 so you know they are not bad people.

Overall this book was really good. Amber got on my nerves at some points because she definitely caused a big unnecessary mess. Luckily for her Bam is just the guy she needs to set things straight.

This is my first MC book and my first book by Gillian Archer. I was immediately hooked on both. I loved the proctectiveness of Bam towards Amber. Amber has lost her father and has many unanswered questions, but when her inquisitiveness lands her in trouble Bam is there to save her. Bam and Amber have a great relationship that is full love, tenderness and passion. What a great story.

This was a lot of fun to read. I've not read any of the other books in this series and everything flowed well, so it really does stand alone. I liked the characters, I enjoyed their story. It was... nice. This is probably not a book I'll go back to read again and again, but it was good for me for now.

There were some instances that I found the politics and friendships and tensions between some the MC members were a little bit over the top, but they were a fun group of guys. I'm interested in reading the prior books to see just how they got to where they are now. There is history in the club that I only got to see on the periphery, but it seems like something that would be an interesting read.

I think my biggest complaint about this book is the cover. The dude on the front looks nothing like the hero of this story. Bam is not even a little bit close to this guy. I feel like if the cover isn't even trying to look a little bit like someone in the book, nobody tried, they just phoned it in and that really bums me out.

This book was better than my expectation - well written, paced well and with time taken to develop the characters. I was interested in the outcome and routing for Amber and Bam throughout. While a couple of spots seemed a little 'easy' - an ah-ha introspection moment that suddenly got everyone's head on straight - it still felt realistic and well-balanced. I'll happily look for other work from this author.

Pretty good read. It just seemed a tad flat. The interaction between the two at first seemed YA the you hit 52% and then it turned into a sex fest. Not much MC stuff just a touch. Some action at the end. It just seemed flat and cookie cutterish. The characters were nothing to get excited about. Bam and Amber did not have the piazza that makes you integrested and reading because you can’t wait to read about them. It did not hold my attention like the previous books. It wasn’t a bad read, it just wasn’t a great read.

Received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley.

Great read! This story contains an assortment of action, psychos and lost. Amber is a likable character even though she will act without thinking. Bam is sensitive, hot headed when the situation calls for cool and collected and he is a protector. This story definitely kept me interested and I am glad I decided to read it. Enjoy!

With each book in her True Brothers of the MC series. Gillian Archer leaves us both satisfied and wanting more. Amber lost her father who was in the Brotherhood last year. In her eyes, the Brotherhood abandoned her family. Her brother was trying to get into the club and moved out. She had to drop out of school to take care of her mom who has become a drunk. And because the Brotherhood won't give her the answers she wants about his death. She makes the mistake of going to the Russian mob to find out who killed her father. Volksya Bratva assures her the killer is dead. As she goes to leave he kisses her and she finds herself kissing him back. Then Bam literally runs into her. Being a quote MC princess he is told to get her out of there now. It's too late for both her and the brotherhood. Bratva has decided he wants Amber for himself. Bam wants her too, but knowing the brotherhood would never let him be with her. Amber finds herself drawn to Bam. This is where our ride begins. So put on your helmet and hold on this is a fast-moving joy ride all the way to the end.

YES!!! Finally get Bam's story!!! After Amber tries to get answers to avenge her father's deaath, this hot Thor-looking biker takes Amber, AKA Kitten, under his wing and vows to protect her.
Amber is a bit fiesty, and honery, but it is understandable after losing her father, a member of an MC, and not getting answers. Ruslan, a Russian, tries to entice Amber, but after Bam "claims" her, he doesn't seem to back off, causing additional tension.
I enjoyed this MC book by Gillian Archer, and have read a couple others in this MC novel series, but this one can also be a stand alone.
It was easy to follow, and I would recommend it!

My first ever Gillian Archer read and I'm impressed! I really liked Bam, the strong, mostly silent, Viking biker. He took his commitments to family - blood or patched - very seriously. Amber was smart and hard-working with a well-balanced mix of savvy and sass that was appropriate for her age, while not being annoying. Together, they're an unexpectedly perfect match.

MC romance can be a tough genre to navigate. I want it to feel "real" but I don't want it to be too "real" - you know? I like the balance that Archer struck with the True Brothers. The focus was mostly on the brotherhood, rather than club business. There were scenes of their criminal activity, but none of it violated my sense of justice so it wasn't an issue. Unlike a lot of MC romance, there was very little talk of club chicks, just a couple of funny stories over beers among the guys. There were no scenes of random clubhouse debauchery.

Loses a star because the hot guy on the cover bears NO resemblance to the hot bearded biker who stars in the story.

I loved this quick read so much I have to go and read the rest of the series. I am so excited too! It was a great quick read with all the right situations, I would definitely recommend!

This book was so good. Sometimes you think you know what’s going to happen but you really don’t. This is the kind of book that makes you want more. The way everything is written this is a must reread.
