When your past rules your future!!!!

Can she let her fathers death stop controlling her future. Even if Amber lets Bam in after the murder of her father will she ever have the true love her parents had. What happens when he tries to to protect her from herself and out of frustration sparks fly.

Authors Blurb: Amber: Two years ago I would’ve made a play for a guy like “Bam” in a heartbeat. That was before my father died in a puddle of blood in the middle of a parking lot, before I swore off his fellow bikers and their stupid “business.” But I still need answers about what happened to my dad, which is why I’m poking around at a nightclub owned by the Russian mafia. And that’s where I run into Bam, who carries me out of the club in his ridiculously strong arms like I was True Brothers property.

Bam: Motorcycle club princess Amber Bennett is the last person I’d expect to see at a club like Howl. She’s flirting with some dangerous people, and it’s my duty to step in and protect her before she gets in over her head. Like I don’t have enough on my mind without cleaning up Amber’s drama. Besides, she’s the definition of off-limits. If only she weren’t so f***ing hot. And determined to take care of everything herself. And oddly vulnerable. Because when we cross the line, I’m forced to choose between my true family—or my true feelings

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I can't say no to a biker book.I love bikers and I'm always looking to find new books. The main characters Bam and Amber do not immediately fall in love the build up a relationship slowly. Amber started a little bit off for me I couldn't connect with her immediately but once it happened I liked her!Bam is a great hero, he is protective and sexy.

This is going down as one of my favorite MC books. What I liked about this book was the guys were part of a MC so they of course were alphas, overprotective, and loyal but the author didn't make them or their MC dark and gritty to where it was uncomfortable to read. The main characters didn't automatically fall into each others arms (well ok Bam did carry Amber out of a building in the first few chapters but they weren't in love automatically) they actually waited and it was an immediate attraction but they fought it a lot. The author did portray MC life as not glamourous at all and some scenes seemed like something that could actually happen but like I said it wasn't too dark. Overall I enjoyed the story of Amber and Bam Bam and would recommend this book to any and everyone.

I received a free, advanced copy of this book from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Previously, Stitch, the President of the True Brothers MC, was gunned down. While the club members took care of the assailants, and took Stitches's son Jackson in as a prospect , they did not keep an eye on his wife and daughter. Brittney fell apart so Amber had to quit college and take a job as a cocktail waitress at a nightclub, to cover the mortgage and pay the bills. She is very anger that the new President, would only tell her that the murderer was taken care, but not any details, which she needs to move on, so she goes to the Russian mafia who took care of the killer, for more information. Not a good move. The son, Ruslan, takes a liking to Amber and stalks her with gifts.
New member, Bam is assigned to watch her. Bam recently lost his grandmother, the only family who ever cared about him, and was mentored by Maverick as a teenager and sponsored by him for the club.. He isn't thrilled with the assignment of being Amber's bodyguard and she wasn't nothing to do with him, but after he realizes what has happened to Brittney, and reports back to the club members so she gets help, Amber softens up to him and he begins to feel like she is his. But nothing is ever that simple.

I know nothing about motorcycles or MC, but have nonetheless enjoyed reading this series, because of the cleverly developed characters and interesting plots. One caveat: While the covers on the previous books reflected the character, the model on one not only misses the mark but is the exact opposite of how Bam is describer, Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Whoever picked the cover, clearly did not bother to read the book.

I loved Bam and Amber’s story!
Sometimes when you’re reading a series and it’s a while in between books, it’s hard to get your bearings. One story seems to pick up where the last one left off and it takes a while to remember how we got to this point. But Gillian Archer does a great job of transitioning into Rough Ride without making me scratch my head for too long.
Fantastic from beginning to end, Bam and Amber draw you into their struggles and make you feel like you’re a part of it. There’s no lack of excitement and chemistry. 5 stars!

5/5 — this is a solid story. And a true love story.

I’m not going to lie I was bummed at first that this was a book 4 in the True Brothers MC series. I thought I’d be lost and frustrated. Furthest from the truth, this author can write a book in the middle of the series that allows new readers to jump in, become immersed in the world and story and not constantly wonder what’s going on.

Bam is a great hero. Protective, true, honorable, and alpha. But not “billionaire boy jerk” alpha. He protected Amber throughout the whole story. Amber was a legit heroine and completely relatable. When the arc in the storyline happened she reacted in an honest way. She was strong when she needed to be and frightened at the motorcycle club life when appropriate.

This is my first MC romance book and I’m now hooked!

I don’t have anything negative to say about the story or writing, personally the book cover is completely wrong, Bam has long blond hair and beard and is a biker that his woman describes as looking like a Viking, not a clean cut dark haired boy. I really enjoyed this book.

Let's start with this is the first story I read from Gillian Archer. Also, a MC romance. I have to say I loved it!

Bam and Amber are the cutest but couple. Amber a girl who within the last year has gone through alot starting with the death of her father and then helping her mother who turns into drinker, dropping out of college and dedicating herself to help her family. Bam just got promoted and also was put into a babysitting job watch over Amber who taught it was smart enough to look for answers of her fathers killer in the wrong place ring a lunatic mafioso to be obsessed with her (Ruslan).

I don't want to be a spoiler you have to read this story you love it. I do believe and expected a better outcome for poor Ruslan but given that he got obsessed with Amber he got put out of the story. Also, I wanted to know what happen next between Amber and Bam did she accept???

Okay so this book was pretty good. I have to say that overall I enjoyed it. It had all the bad boy lust that I could desire and I am complete and utter trash for a good biker romance...

I must say though there was a couple of things about this book that just did not go over well for me. First of all there was way too much talking and not enough sizzle when it came to the two main characters- Amber and Bam. It seemed like every time there was sexual tension between the two it seemed to skip over those parts and zoom in with razor focus on every conversation the two of them seemed to have! This is fine for those who like focusing on those types of interactions but personally for me I just wanted them to shut up and smooch already!!

The plot was very well thought out and I loved following every stressful and tender moment. I thought that Amber was a very likable MC and I loved that despite her beauty there was more to her such as her sweetness and her ability to be sassy and strong when it came to the biker club. I also very much enjoyed the weird love triangle like vibes between Ryslan the Russian mafia king and how he was thrown into the mix along with Amber and Bam.

Overall this book was a good read that I would recommend to fans of Sons of Anarchoy (this book reminded me SO much of this show- Especially Bam whose description is a dead ringer for Jax)

So this is my first Gillian Archer novel and can I just say, you are amazing. Over the years I have read many MC novels and this was my absolute favorite one ever!!! The twists and turns in the book, I changed favorite characters several times through out the book and toward the end I finally settled on Bam, He is a big bite of badass biker with a gooey caramel center. In this story the author takes us on a long ride down a winding road and as we go the details of characters personalities, quirks and pasts slowly unfold before us. I had a hard time pulling myself back into the real world after sitting and reading Rough Ride, even if I had only had a few minutes to read. Cannot wait to read more from this author.

Guns wounds, bullet holes and crazy Russian Mafia.... What more could you ask for?!
This is my first novel by this author but it is very entertaining.
I can't say I have a favorite character but I didn't love the Amber and Bam.
He is a newly patched member, while she is one of the club princesses. Which is a huge stay away from title.
She has so much fire and sass that he realizes all she is doing to stay afloat, that he gets super protective of her.
The second in command in the Russian Mafia takes an interest in Amber very early in the story. He drops surprise after surprise with not everything being pleasant.
It's easy to be with these characters. They demand to me heard.

Amber’s father, a True Brother club member, was shot a year ago. She is adamant about finding information leading to the person who was responsible but has been stonewalled by the club. When she questions someone from the Russian mafia about it, things take a slight turn. And suddenly she’s being thrown over Bam’s shoulder and ushered out of the meeting. The last thing she wants is to get involved with a club member but Bam’s constant vigilance slowly begins to wear her down.

Bam knew who Amber was, had even seen her a time or two. Nevertheless, he wasn’t prepared for the instant attraction he felt when he came face to face with her. But she’s club property and a club princess to boot and he’s not worthy of her. When things heat up with Amber’s Russian suitor he has to take a stand and then hopes his brother’s won’t kill him for it.

I loved Bam so much! He’s just a great big hunky teddy bear when it comes to Amber. Once his decision to claim her is made he doesn’t fight it. He was so sweet and gentle and even a bit humorous as he walked her through the beginning of their relationship. Amber was living with anger from the shooting but when the opportunity to accept Bam’s ownership arrived, she didn’t hesitate. Unfortunately, when things turn nasty she is thrown back into the past and an up-close and personal view of what her future could look like.

This was a fast paced read with a nice bit of steam and some decent chemistry. I loved the brothers as well as Amber’s best friend. It’s actually a rather low angst story with just a bit of drama. It gives us a tiny look at club life with the True Brothers but I wouldn’t have minded more. This is a great read for some chill time with a comfortable book that requires little more than for the reader to just sit back and enjoy.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Random House Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Mafia dude was super creepy and weird. Bam and Amber had the perfect mix of sparks and dislike and need. The book was fast-paced and full of action and romance.

This was a book that was hard to put down once I started reading it! The plot was well planned and moved along effortlessly throughout the entire book. The characters, Amber and Bam, were so strongly written and the chemistry between these two kept me totally engaged until the very last page!

Rough Ride, the 4th book in the True Brothers MC series, was so good. This book is Stitch's Daughter Amber and Bam's story. I love seeing them get their HEA. In the last book my heart broke when Stitch was killed. So seeing the aftermath of his death and how strong his family ending up becoming was bitter sweet. Bam in the last book made some mistakes and felt like he let his brothers down. I loved seeing Bam as a strong protector in this book. He was sexy, tough, and loyal. He loved hard and put it all on the line for his woman. I loved Amber too. She was sweet and sassy. She loved her family and gave everything to hold them together after losing her father. I loved Bam and Amber together. There was such a great build up to their relationship. They had so much sexual tension that when they got together it was smokin' hot. I really loved the plot of this book. I loved how Bam stepped up to protect Amber from her crazy Russian mob boss stalker. Speaking of Russian mafia bosses, am I the only one that really liked Ruslan's crazy stalker ass? I mean I don't know why but I found him hot and sweet in his own crazy kinda way.
This book was a great read for me. It would have been a 5 star read but towards the end Amber had a moment when she should have stood by her man, but she ran and it really left a bitter taste in my mouth. Other than that this book had tons of action, romance, and sexy bad ass bikers. I can't wait to see what's next!

I had never read Gillian Archer before. Rough Ride is the 4th book in the True Brothers MC series but can definitely be read as a stand alone book. I'm not very familiar with MC series but have always liked romance so i took a chance with this book. I found the characters MC road nicknames to be rather silly but maybe that is how all MC groups are. This book really wasn't for me. There were too many men laying claim to Amber not ever bothering to ask her what she wanted. The head of the Russian MC club, Raslan, claimed her when he'd only known her for less than a minute. Then Amber's dad's MC club claimed that she was club property. That should have made her mad but she let it slide. Then Bam Bam (a ridiculous name IMO) carries her off over his shoulder without her consent. Bam Bam then begins to claim her as his and talks about how much it turns him on to see her barefoot in his apartment. All of that was a little too much of "me Tarzan, you Jane" for me to be able to enjoy the story. It was a romance but the characters and plot seemed a little shallow. Some readers may like this kind of male testosterone fest but It just was not my cup of tea so I probably won't read any of the previous series.
I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review, all opinions expressed are my own. .

Amber is scare because Ruslan is sending her gifts of the guy that murder her dad and turns to Bam-bam for help.

Oh, this one is good! Amber Bennett is looking for answers on how her father died and the club is not giving her answers, so she goes searching and ends up getting the attention of the Russian mafia. Now she has an unwanted Russian stalker but she also has the protection of Bam and the True Brothers. Bam stepped up and even though he didn't want any woman on the back of his bike, Amber ends up there and there she stays. This book is full of chemistry and romance and so much fun and bantering the pages just kept on turning. This is a great series and not the typical MC book but I definitely recommend it. This can be read as a standalone but I do recommend the rest of the series too.

Amber’s parents had still been madly in love with each other even after twenty years. Then one night they had been out partying with her father’s biker brothers of his MC True Brothers and a rival gang member of the Wild Rider MC and shot her father and he didn’t make. Amber remembers her mom alone in the living room in different clothes then she had worn out and something was very wrong then she learned her father had been killed the only man Amber had ever loved. One year later Amber was in the nightclub Howl as she was trying to get some information as this was the only place in town her father’s MC brothers couldn’t stonewall her. All Amber knew at this point is her father’s killer had been turned over to the Volkskya Bralva ot Russian Mafia. Amber leaned against the bar and then felt a man’s hand clasped her arm. As s much as Amber wanted to look at the man but saw how everyone in the bar was acting toward this man. The man moved his arm to her back with his thumb rubbed a spot of bare skin on her back. Now Amber wished she was back home with her mom but she was probably passed out on the livingroom floor like she had been every night since the death of her beloved husband. The man escorted Amber to a booth and she had no control to refuse and nudged her into it. Then he asked her why she was at Howl. Then the man said he had been rude and introduced himself as Ruslan and offered her some champagne. Ruslan asked again why she was really at Howl and she angrily said she was there to make sure the rat bastard that had killed her father last year had suffered for what he had done and if he was still alive she would like a chance to get a few jabs in. The guy new Amber was Stitch’s daughter. Then a big burly guy came over and Ruslan told Amber to come with him as the burly guy grabbed her clutch purse. And Amber was then taken to an office and assured the man had suffered and Ruslan had another meeting and would have a car take her home and she could get her things on her way out. . As Amber went to leave Ruslan came to her and then the door came open and Axel from the True Brothers MC and yelled “what the f--k ws going on” and “what are you doing here princess?” Then Axel told Ruslan Amber was club property then Bam threw Amber over his shoulder and walked out of the club.and took her home. Bam couldn’t believe how bad the outside of Amber;s home looked and then Stitch’s beloved bike rotting. Then Ba went into the house and found Brittany= Amber;s moved passed out on the floor in her own vomit. He wondered where Amber’s older brother Jackson was but why wasn’t he here helping his family? Amber told Bam the MC club only cared about itself and its brother including her prospect of a brother. Bam decided to go to the MC pres- Reb and let him know what was going on with Stitch’s family and how bad it had gotten. Then Amber was woken up the next morning to pounding on the door and had the biggest floral display she had ever seen given to her and she knew from the card they were from Ruslan. Amber went to the Mackay Mocha House to kill some time and texted her best friend Sydney to see what she was doing but she didn’t get an answer then she got a text from an unidentified texter asking her what time her shift at work ended tonight then it turned out to be Bam. Amber thought about how so much could go wrong in one year her father being killed and she had to drop out of college and work at the Motherlode Casino to pay the bills to keep things afloat at home. In a job she hated at the casino to be a waitress in a very skimpy costume she also hated trying to avoid being pawed by customers. Then Sydney had went to beauty school had a career and even had her own apartment. Bam told Amber while she was in public she would be watched by one of the brothers of his MC. When Amber got off work they Ruslan was there in the garage next to a brand new escalade where Amber’s car had been he then told her that her car had been donated. Then Bam stepped forward and said something to Ruslan and he took off in the car. Bam claimed Amber as his own in front of Ruslan and Reb and some of his other MC brothers.
I loved this book. It was a quick emotional romantic biker story. I know biker, Mafia and romance hmmm. But it was a hit in this book. I loved Bam and Amber together and how they interacted with each other. I loved how truly brave Amber was I loved how Bam made the club aware of how bad things had gotten for Stitch’s family after his death. I was so glad Brittany got sober. I also loved the relationship between Bam and Maverick. I read this in one setting I may have lost a little sleep but it was so worth it. I loved the plot and the pace. I was glad when ruslan showed up at Bam’s grandmother's house and had helped Bam and Amber’s family. I happily could find nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this books and I highly recommend.

A nice surprise! I haven’t read MC romance before but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this book was. The story follows Amber, an MC princess and Bam, the MC member who is guarding her from the Russian mafia’s number two. Amber feels that she has lost everything because of the MC club and she is angry and doesn’t want to accept their help. She doesn’t want to fall for Bam. Bam feels unworthy of Amber.
The book is well written. The story flows well and there is good use of supporting characters. The main characters are well developed.
I will definitely be reading more from this author!
