I like stories with animals and really like this one. I had no expectations and this came as a surprise.

Many thanks to Terry Michael Gildow and Netgalley for this ARC

Should be 0 stars, did not finish. I was hoping for a story akin to Watership Down or Duncton Wood, but was sorely disappointed. I tried, reading about a tenth of the story, but the writing was absolutely dreadful. The sentences were all awkward, the story scrambled and disjointed. Perspective changed suddenly and sometimes in the same sentence. The author likes using unusual or large words that are pretentious and weigh down the narrative. There are mixed metaphors and nonsense sentences. The reader is dropped into a completely unknown setting with numerous unknown references. About the time the fog begins to clear, the story scrambles again with new unfamiliar reference points. Arghhhhh! I gave up.
My copy was an ARC from NetGalley.

The story is really interesting for me. I am slowly reading it. I don't know why i got confused so much but i really like the story. I will definitely check other stories from the author. And that cover is amazing.
