Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review and give my personal honest opinion. The cover and title really caught my eye but the blurb definitely cinched it. This is my first by this author.

Bowen is in AA, from drug and alcohol addiction plus he has a parole officer. He also realizes this may be his last chance to get his life straight. So he agrees to abstinence for a year to make it through his ten steps. Of course he makes all these decisions before he meets Gabby.
Gabby is a cute computer nerd that has become part of a tight knit group that Bowen is in. They all work for a shelter and Gabby has baggage. When she was younger a stepfather hurt her, her mother was never there for her, and constantly in rehab. With no one to really turn to Gabby grows up a loner and has a hard time fitting in. She meets Bowen though and a bond grows.

I really enjoyed the book, and love a HEA. There was a ton going on, and I'm guessing ththat s is a series because the book starts out like you should already know everyone. I'm going to go as far to say that you should really read the others first, I was confused for a bit and got Bowen and Gabby story just fine. Saber and Mason part thrown in just confused me. If it was part of a series then I would have timelined it better. Ok I checked, it's book 3 of the Rock and Ink series which it wasn't labeled as. Still it was four stars of entertainment and I would definitely have loved to read these in order. Or had the option to read them in order.

I will post my review to Goodreads and Amazon closer to the release date.
