I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and hard to put down. I highly recommend it. Thank you for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

Despite this book coming out two years ago, I just finally opened it to read. Instead of Saved by the Cowboy, it was a chapter preview of Tough Luck Cowboy. I know there's an option to not give feedback and explain why, but since that option affects my overall review percentage, I'm choosing to leave this as a review instead.

Fun short read! Cash and Olivia’s story was fun to read. My first AJ Pine book. I loved the writing and the characters.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

What a great story. I just loved the chemistry between Olivia and Cash. The banter between them was hilarious at times. These two characters will keep you glued to your e-reader (or book). The book was over before I knew it. I was so enchanted with them that I couldn't put the book down.

This book contained such a powerful insight and answers to Olivia's questions that I probably will re-read this story many times. The dual POV really contained a wonderful glimpse into what these two characters were going through and what they had gone through in the past.

I highly recommend this story to anyone!!!

Cash Hawkins is content with his ranch, dog , and small town life until Olivia Belle crashes into town . Good page turning story in this Crossroad Ranch series book. Will be looking up the rest of the series.

Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Sheriff Cash wanted to spend his night with his K-9 and his favorite sandwich until he saw a car racing down. When he stopped the car he never thought he would find a driver looking like a cinderella.
Olivia wanted to get away from everything. When her boyfriend proposed to her, she panicked and ran away. She wanted to find her happily ever after from her grandparents love letters in small town in Oak Bluff but she never thought she was racing down the street to get there.
Olivia was in such a rush running away from San Francisco, she didn't have a proper ID to show when she was pulled over. Sheriff never looked better but he was ready to handcuff her.
Cash never thought he would meet a girl like Olivia. She was different from all the other girls he met. She was not afraid to share her thoughts and he feels he can open up to him.
They were getting to know each other but they both knew once she finds the letters, she needs to go back to her old life. She feels she is living in a fantasy when she is with him and he feels the same way.
What do they have to do to find their happily ever after.
It was cute story of two opposite people falling in love and believing in love.
Thanks to netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for ARC in exchange for honest review.

Wow. I loved this book. It is a modern day Cinderella with a cowboy kind of twist. Sheriff Cash doesn't do relationships of the heart. Been there, done that, crashed and burned. He returns to his hometown of Oak Bluff to move on with his life as the sheriff of the small town. He is more than content with his life, his job and his dog Dixie. When Olivia's boyfriend proposal sounds more like a business transaction she hightails it out of there and ends up in Oak Bluff where her grandparents romance started. She wants the kind of love her grandparents share. She has never felt that all consuming pull toward a man until Cash. Will Cash take a chance on Olivia and risk heartbreak? Can Olivia accept love for what it is and see it when it is right in front of her? Awesome read!

Didn't realize this book was part of a series, and I was able to follow along without feeling overly confused by characters from the previous book. Plenty of humor, and a potential romance blossoming that seems to have an expiry date. I enjoyed the chemistry between Cash and Olivia, the dialogue flowed at a good pace, the secondary characters helped to round out the story without being too much in the spotlight.

I've been a big fan of A.J. Pine's Crossroads Ranch series since I picked up Second Chance Cowboy earlier this year. I devoured Tough Luck Cowboy and anxiously awaited the third book. What I forgot was that I had a novella just sitting there waiting to be read. Oops.
Saved by the Cowboy was a great, quick read. It fed my need for more in the Crossroads Ranch series and it didn't matter a bit that I read it out of order. Cash and Olivia's story was super cute and I really enjoyed it. They had a great meet cute, oodles of chemistry and plenty of swoons, all packed into a little over 100 pages. This was a total feel-good romance and I cheesy grinned my way through the biggest part of it. I adored the way things progressed with their relationship and I also liked the secondary story with Olivia and her search for her grandparents' letters.

I thought Saved by the Cowboy was a great addition to the Crossroads Ranch series. Now I can go back to waiting on Walker's story in Hard Loving Cowboy! I can't wait to get my hands on the last Everett brother!

FAVORITE QUOTES
"I mighta said something about being a little broken, but I sure as hell never told you that you needed fixing, and anyone who ever gave you that idea is a damned fool."

"Are you gonna kiss me again, Sheriff?"
"Every chance I get, Miss Belle."

It's been several months since I read Second Chance Cowboy the first book in A.J. Pine's new Crossroads Ranch series, which revolves around the three Everett brothers and set in a small of Oak Bluff, California. Saved by the Cowboy, a novella, focused on the town sheriff, Cash Hawkins and runaway bridesmaid Olivia Belle.

The events in Saved by the Cowboy actually overlaps with some of the events in Tough Luck Cowboy, so I'm glad I picked it up because it whetted my excitement for Luke Everett and Lily Green's story. But, you don't need to read the other books in the series to enjoy Saved by the Cowboy. It stands on its own as a fun, quick read about a gruff yet sexy cowboy sheriff and a modern-day Cinderella searching for love--well, the how-to of it. She found a not-too-reluctant partner in her search in Cash Hawkins.

Olivia and Cash were so cute together! I spent most of the time while reading just grinning because Olivia and Cash were just so adorable with their easy chemistry and fun banter. Neither of them were looking for love, but found it anyway with each other. Things happened pretty quickly as Olivia only had a week in Oak Bluff before she had to go home and fix the mess she left behind. Things happened fairly quickly, but the story never felt rushed or forced.

In the mood for a cowboy quickie? Pick up Saved by the Cowboy! Fun, lighthearted romance that will satisfy you from start to finish. Fun cameos by the Everett brothers too.

A.J. Pine is a fabulous storyteller who will keep you turning the pages and wishing for one or two more chapters to enjoy more of in her books. This book is sexy, sweet romance which gives a cowboy at heart sheriff a second chance at love and a women her fairy tail ending which will take readers on a fantastic ride the whole way through the book. Absolutely recommend this book to all book lovers out there

This was a nice quick read and I loved returning to the Crossroads Ranch world for a visit. Cash and Olivia's story was just the right length and I also enjoyed the teases for the next book!

I haven't read the first book in this series yet, but that didn't stop me from enjoying Saved by the Cowboy as a standalone. I found that the story moved along at a quick pace, making for a fairly quick read. As such, I won't go into detail about the story at all. I'd hate to spoil something for another reader. What I will say is that I liked the characters in this story. I liked the gruff hero from the start, and by the end I'd come to like the heroine, too. Loved the humor in this book! I do wish there'd been a bit more plot development between the first introduction and the couple coming together. Overall, this was a fun read and I'm intrigued enough to read the other books available by this author.

3.5 Stars

Cash and Olivia are characters who appear in book one of the series, and there was clearly an interesting story going on with them, so I was glad to see that they were getting their own story within the Crossroads Ranch stories...although I wish it had been a longer one.

I usually feel this was about novellas, especially if they are about a new character, or one you have been introduced to and the novella is being used to tie up a story or to fill in gaps.

In this one, you meet Cash and Olivia, rather amusingly, in the middle of a disagreement, and this sets the tone for most of their relationship. They both think they each want different things, so it is a little bit of a surprise to them (although not really to anyone else) that what they really want is one another.

There was, possibly, a little more story than could be totally fulfilled in a shorter novella, so the ending felt a little quick, but I still enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.

3.75 stars-- SAVED BY THE COWBOY is instalment 1.5 in AJ Pine’s contemporary, adult CROSSROADS RANCH romance series. This is Oak Bluff’s sheriff Cash Hawkins, and San Francisco events planner Olivia Belle’s storyline. SAVED BY THE COWBOY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Olivia and Cash) SAVED BY THE COWBOY follows the building relationship between Oak Bluff’s sheriff Cash Hawkins, and San Francisco events planner Olivia Belle. A quiet Saturday night found Cash Hawkins stopping a speeding car with the most beautiful bridesmaid he has ever seen. A broken glass slipper, and a twisted ankle found Cash hoping for his own happily ever after but happily ever afters were meant for fairy tales and never real life.

Olivia Belle was running from quite possibly the biggest mistake of her life in the hopes of finding her grandparent’s love letters in the small town of Oak Bluff, California, where her grandmother was born and raised. Meeting Sheriff Cash Hawkins sent Olivia into a tail-spin of possibilities, a tail-spin that started with a marriage proposal from a man back home.

The relationship between Olivia and Cash is quick to develop as Olivia battles her attraction to Cash knowing her time in Oak Bluff is drawing to an end. Cash wants something more than a one-night stand but Olivia is quick to point out that she has responsibilities back home. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include many of the people who live and work in Oak Bluff. We are introduced to Cash’s mother Lucinda; recently divorced pastry chef Lily Green, and rancher Luke Everett. Lily and Luke’s story line is next in TOUGH LUCK COWBOY.

SAVED BY THE COWBOY is a quick read; a sweet and sexy romance; a fun and flirty love story that is a bit of a departure from the ‘cowboy’ scenario. The premise is spirited; the romance is enchanting; the characters are feisty and adorable.

A brilliant read with a brilliant storyline and characters and I will look forward to reading more from you from this author

This is my first A.J. Pine read, although she’s been on my radar for a little while now. I’ve been actively seeking more cowboy romances this year and that means trying new to me authors. The only thing I wish is that I had started with book 1. Not because this can’t be read as a standalone novella, because it can be. But because I probably should’ve had my first taste of this author be a full length novel.

Novellas are such a tricky thing to write and I’m personally very picky. I can’t buy into such deep instant connection that would make someone uproot their whole lives from one place to another. One way of life to another. I know this happens for people in real life, but it’s not something I’ve ever been able to wrap my head around so it’s hard to see it and believe it in books. That’s also why I do better with novellas where the characters have history already. They just need the extra push.

SAVED BY A COWBOY is about a woman who is used to run away from everything, in this case she’s running away from a lack luster proposal for marriage. She decides instead to go back to the town where her grandparents lived and find some love letters of theirs, seeking the true meaning of love and maybe figuring out why she won’t settle down and find it herself. What she finds is the town’s Sheriff after he pulls her over for speeding and the whirlwind kind of love and connection she hasn’t been able to find in her every day life.

Like I said, it was hard for me to buy into it beyond the initial lust and attraction. But I still found the story to be cute and endearing, as a lot of small town romances often are. While this didn’t quite give me the cowboy fix I was looking for, it was a fun and quick read. I’ll definitely give this author another try.

Olivia is running from her problems and figured if she can go to her grandmother old home and get some old letters between her grandparents she can learn the secret to a happy marriage. Unfortunately on the way to finding these letters she was speeding catching the eye to the small town sheriff Cash.

I thought that this was a cute little novella. Its great for when your pressed for time but would love to read a cute little romance. I enjoyed the characters and loved the unique storyline with the letters and Olivia trying to figure out what is her grandparents secrets. Overall it was a pretty good contemporary romance I really enjoyed it.
