I have been waiting almost a year for this book after reading the first chapter at the end of the first Blue Hallow falls book and had already fallen in love with Seth. Because I went into this book completely infatuated with him I was worried about who he would be paired with. Fortunately, I quickly fell in love with Pippa as well and found the pair perfectly suited. This is a mix of slow burn and hot and was a wonderful read that I didn't want to put down and left me wanting more stories about the residents of Blue Falls. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a great story with amazing characters, not just romance readers.

Donna Kauffman is back with a winner in this series. Can be a stand alone but best to read “Blue Hollow Falls” first to meet the cast. Personally, I wasn’t pleased with “The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls”. Glad to see this book is up to par with my expectations of a Donna Kauffman novel. While reading everyone is going to want to get directions to Blue Hollow Falls, including myself. I won’t give a synopsis since there already are many. I just want to say, read & enjoyed.

I was pretty excited for this book because it involved some of my favorite things - Virginia and wine. And the title has the name of my favorite Virginia winery (Bluestone) in it. And I really liked the characters, including the secondary ones. The setting was nice, though I would have liked more description (ditto on the wine aspect). But the plot was just way too simple for my taste. They pretend like there are obstacles to their relationship, but there really aren't. Things are way too easy for fiction. It's a nice story, and I'm sure it's someone's cup of tea, but it's not mine.

I enjoyed this one. This was more of a slow burn romance than I'm used to, but I liked the story enough that it made up for it :) The writing flowed well, and I liked the characters. I thought Pippa was a great h, and I liked that she brought out Seth's playful side. I liked Seth, but he was came across as scared several times, and honestly that's not something I associate with former special forces. I liked the secondary characters, even the animals made the story that much better. The only thing that felt off, was I felt like the story ended abruptly. It's never told what Seth and Pippa are going to do when it's time for her to go back to Ireland, and that was the reason for them not getting together sooner, and the reason for Seth's constant worry. I really thought there would be a little more closure. I liked that the end wrapped up her healing process. I would have liked an extended look into that, but all in all this was a good book. This was a first for me from this author, but it won't be my last.
I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Bluestone & Vine by Donna Kauffman is the second book in the Blue Hollow series. This story is well written and it touches and warms your heart. It is an excellent combination of humor and romance. It pulls you in and holds you there in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The characters are Pippa MacMillan a superstar folk Irish singer, and Seth Brogan a new business owner of a vineyard. These main characters blend well together and all the secondary characters fit in as well. The story moves at a slow relaxed pace and is well written and develops well as it goes. Highly recommend this story as an enjoyable read. I look forward to the next book in the series.

You know that comfortable, homey feeling you get when you wrap up in your favorite throw, sit in the cushy rocker, and sip hot chocolate while reading a perfect book? Bluestone and Vine IS that feeling.  From the first page to the last, Kauffman imbues the story with warmth and sweetness, along with some intense chemistry between Pippa  and Seth.

Pippa is an Irish folk singer who is a star in Europe. Maybe not "Beyonce" big, but close. A year ago, while singing at a concert, Pippa's vocal chords ruptured and she had surgery to repair them. Since then, she hasn't sung a single note. She is terrified that the rupture will reoccur and she will lose her ability to sing forever. Hounded by the press, she comes to America to get away and have some time to emotionally heal. She lands on Seth's property to stay for the next eight weeks, as arranged by his sister.

Seth is mouthwatering. Every single bit of him. In both looks and character, this man is a keeper. He finds Pippa as delightful as she finds him, but he is drowning in work. However, this isn't just a case of bad timing; they both conclude that they should not get involved since they live an ocean apart.

Enter the townspeople of Blue Hollow Falls. These engaging characters actively plot to get Seth and Pippa together, because anyone can see that they have feelings for each other. This town is the real genius to the story. The people contribute to that feeling of caring and are part of the bonds drawing in Pippa and Seth. And me...it drew me, too. I'd love to live in a town like Blue Hollow Falls.

Bluestone and Vine takes "feel good romance" to a new level. I highly recommend it and give it 6 stars out of five.

She's done it again! Oh man, Donna Kauffman is on a roll, people! Take note. First, this book grabbed my attention because it's about the rough yet flirty Seth. He's the one we had dreams about when he popped up in the previous Blue Hollow Falls book.

Seth has this effortless charm and when Pippa comes along it draws her in just like it did me! She is looking for a quiet place to heal her voice and work on overcoming the fear of performing. Seth might not have known it upon first meeting, but he was looking for someone to do more than flirt with-- and he gets it. Pippa satisfies him, if you know what I mean. Even more, she brings peace to the community.

At first I kind of thought she was being too pushy, but I realized that through building this relationship with such a small community she was pushing herself through the fear. I really liked the vulnerability of both Pippa and Seth in that respect. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, then stop reading my review and go read the book!!! I'm not spoiling a thing! It's too good not to read for yourself.

This is the newest in the Blue Hollow series, and is Seth Brogan's story. When superstar folk singer Pippa MacMillan comes to stay in Blue Hollow to recouperate from throat surgery, she literally drops in at Seth's vineyard as part of a house-swap with his youngest sister. She quickly works her way into the hearts and lives of the other Hollow residents, especially Seth's. Many of the secondary characters -- Mabry, Bailey, Jake and Will, Sawyer -- we'd met previously, and although they're only peripherally involved, they are critical to the series.

There's a novella coming out for Christmas, and another book in the series next year. Can't wait!

Charming, thoughtful story of life and love.

I absolutely loved this book. Donna Kauffman did an amazing job of fleshing out real life, believable characters in Pippa, Seth and the secondary characters in the story. I think the plot moved well as it examined Pippa's emotional healing and her and Seth growing awareness of what they had. I enjoyed the excerpt of Moira's story A Blue Hollow Falls Christmas and look forward to reading it in its entirety.

Ms. Kauffman was able to transport me to the beautiful mountain area of Blue Hollow Falls with the gorgeous painting of it with her words. Her love of the mountains shines through her work and makes the reader hungry to experience them for themselves.
Kauffman is able to paint her romances with words in much the same way. She makes the reader yearn for just such a romance! The romance of Pippa, an Irish folk singer who's trying to heal her voice, and the hunk on the mountain who is trying to establish his own vineyard isn't an instantaneous happening. Pippa and Seth have a lot in their way and Kauffman makes them work for it. But boy is it worth the work! I loved their romance! I loved Pippa's petite size matched with the brawn of Seth. It was so adorable that he tried to resist falling in love with someone who was obviously so irresistible. Oh, how the mighty do fall!
The secondary characters are as compelling as the main characters and I'm hoping one emotionally hurting guy (Will) shows up in his own book somewhere down the road. The animals in the book were a delightful extra! The cast of characters in the Blue Hollow Falls series are people I would definitely like to know and can't wait to read about again! Loved it!

Such a beautiful and heartwarming story for the second book in the series of Blue Hollow Falls. I started it at the beginning of a weekend and I could not put it down. The characters just come to life and the reader is left wanting more. Fabulous story.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
I loved this book! Seth and Pippa are so perfect together. The details are so great that you can really see the charecters and the settings in your mind. I would love to spend some time at Seth's house! This series is great and I look forward to reading more stories about the charecters of Blue Hollow Falls!

Bluestone & Vine by Donna Kauffman
Blue Hollow Falls #2

If I could move to live in this community I believe I would. The people are wonderful with true friendships, sense of community and love of family. In this book Pippa and Seth meet, fight their attraction and then succumb. Seth with his vineyard and wine to make has a huge giving heart that gives as much to Pippa as she gives to him. She is afraid…and worried and is thrilled to find “music” again while by the falls and then later in other places as she stays. Pippa and Seth are perfect together…just perfect :)

Mabry – and older gentleman – has such pithy wisdom to share with both Seth and Pippa and I was thrilled that they listened and took his advice.

Will and his son Jake make an appearance and their story is so sad and yet filled with hope. I think that Will may need a romance of his own later in this series. I am also wondering if his son Jake and Bailey – both still young – might end up together in the distant future.

Moira – Seth’s sister – calls home from Ireland with heartbreak experienced. I see that the next book in the series is going to be hers and I can hardly wait!

There is also Hudson the cook and he could need a book, too…so many characters including a paper artist that might eventually end up there, too?

Did I like this book? Definitely
Will I read more in the series? Of course ;)

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing – Zebra for the ARC – This is my honest review.

4.5 - "Come to Blue Hollow Falls and fall in love... Like I have." Stars!

Returning to Blue Hollow Falls for the second book in the series; Bluestone & Vine finally gives us Seth Brogan’s story.

IMAGE.

It’s not often I take much notice when an author starts posting pictures of her inspiration for a certain character. Mainly because they never look like how I want to envision them in my head. But when Donna starting posting pictures of the yumminess above that is Lasse Matberg, I was happy to picture the bearded, hairy Viking type as Seth. I can’t say I am a huge fan of long hair on men normally, mainly because so few can carry it off well, but paired with that well thatched beard, and all of it groomed to perfection, I was more than on board on this occasion.

"Who knew being a vintner was such a good workout."

Seth has been a major secondary player in the series so far, the consummate good guy with a degree in flirting, has up ‘til now, kept romance out of the picture, but when Superstar Folk Singer; Pippa MacMillan looking for peace, quiet and time to recuperate from a year of stress and medical trauma, lands on his doorstep fresh from Ireland with very little warning after his sister arranges a house swap à la The Holiday he feels an instant connection with her.

"This thing… whatever it is between us, at least for me, it’s just a lot. Maybe too much…"

It doesn’t take long for sweet and quirky Pippa to work her way into the hearts of the Blue Hollow Falls community, and even less time to do the same with Seth, even if he does give it a pretty good try in regards to ignoring his growing feelings for her.

"You’ve got a special place here. With some special people."

But how do a commitment-shy Vintner from Virginia and a Folk Singer from Ireland who is working through her own personal issues, merge their lives in a way that will allow their passions for wine and song to flourish? With enough time spent together to allow their fledgling relationship and growing feelings for each other a chance to build and flourish as well…

He’d always be strong for her, want to care for her, and she would always do the same for him.

This was another strong instalment to the series. Again the author pulls in a number of secondary characters to give depth to the story, I can’t not mention Mabry, Seth’s elderly and perceptive neighbour, because he gave the right advice, and the perfect push to each of them when needed.

"You Yanks are a sucker for a lass with an Irish accent."

And the inclusion of widower Will McCall and his son Jack was the perfect introduction to them in regards to the next full length book of the series offering up their story; Lavender Blue due early 2019. Donna had me in tears with the epilogue when it came to this grieving father and I am expecting to have tissues at the ready for when I read his book. But we get to return first for Christmas this year with Donna’s novella; A Blue Hollow Falls Christmas being released later this year as part of Fern Michael’s A Season to Celebrate anthology, and I cannot wait!

"Never underestimate the power of Blue Hollow Falls!"

Bluestone and Vine is the second Blue Hollow Falls book by Donna Kauffman, and I love how the story just keeps giving.
Seth Brogan is tending to his animals and getting his vines ready for spring when his sister tells him that she’s swapped houses with someone from Ireland, except she swapped his house for the singer to stay while she recovers from over use of her voice. The first meeting between Pippa and Brogan sparks fly even in the cold, snowy weather.
You’ll enjoy this book as much or more than the first. I know I did!

Loved this book! It was so wonderful to go back to the magical town of Blue Hollow Falls. A place where people care for each other and neighbors look out for each one another. Seth Brogan needed this place and this vineyard when he left the special forces. Now the town needs him just as much since he's become such an important part of the community. He's surprised to find out that his sister has agreed to a house swap with a woman from Ireland. Even more surprised to find out the house she swapped was his! So now he has a house guest he never expected and isn't sure how to handle or what to think of. Pippa MacMillan is an Irish folksinger that has lost her voice. Physically she has healed but her mind won't let her relax and enjoy singing again. Could Seth possibly be her calm?

This is one for the must read list. I highly recommend it.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Bluestone & Vine by Donna Kaufman, the second book in her Blue Hollow Falls series and I really struggled to put it down. This is a story of two loss souls who are starting over again, hoping they are on the right path toward their futures.

A former Special Forces soldier, Seth works on his renovated stone barn and beautiful hillside into a vineyard. Pippa MacMillan, a super star on the Irish folk music scene, voice requires a time-out, leaving her wondering how and where she can find happiness in the silence. As she looks for answers, Pippa leaves Ireland in a house swap with Seth’s sister, ending up in a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The lovely Blue Hollow Falls is the perfect place to heal and the solitary Seth is the perfect host. Small-town living in Virginia is not much different than that of Ireland and Pippa does feel at home among the residents of Blue Hollow Falls. As Seth and Pippa spend time together, they are surprised by their feelings as they begin to fall for each other. The only problem is when Pippa starts hearing the music once again, will she return to Ireland, or surrender to the call of her heart?

Seth is my new book boyfriend and I wish I was as talented as Pippa in creating the music she hears in her head. These two quiet souls were the perfect match despite their size difference; Seth was 6’6”, think Viking Thor, while Pippa was barely 5’2”, an Irish fairy. These two are good people, caring for those around them and supportive of the town and its residents. I enjoyed revisiting the characters from earlier stories and especially loved the name of Seth’s wine, Bluestone and Vine Llamarama Label, with a picture of his llama as part of the label.

I highly recommend this outstanding book to other readers. It was difficult for me to put this book down. Ms. Kaufman is a wonderful story teller drawing me into her books, making me forget the world around me. I could visualize beauty of this place through her descriptive words. I highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Perfect time for a visit to the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains. Bluestone & Vine by Donna Kauffman makes you believe that you have done just that. Thank goodness we don’t all have to cross an ocean to do so as Pippa MacMillan does. Hopefully none is recovering from surgery as she is too. As she finds there is not better place to do so than Blue Hollow Falls.

Again normal well-adjusted characters grace the pages of Ms. Kauffman’s book. Life has not been without its struggles, unfortunate and sad events but Seth and Pippa find ways to recover and rebuild. I admire the resilience of her characters. Then in the process of rebuilding they find love too. Of course, the small community, two and four legged, falls for the Irish singer/musician, encouraging the attraction between Pippa and Seth. Lovely ending and wonderful journey to it, making Bluestone & Vine one book I highly recommend.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

oved it! Grab your tissues and get ready for a bumpy, but engaging love story. The critters, the town, and the people all are wonderfully entertaining.

Donna Kaufman has created a magical place in Blue Falls Hollow with charming and completely likeable characters. Their life stories engaged me and I became instantly invested in their happiness. For me there was lots of tears and laughter. I have to skip over the (for me unnecessary) graphic sex to enjoy a truly heartwarming and beautiful story about life and love.
